Our media outlets are not helping matters,Punch news,The Nations,Sahara reporters etc could report about Undergraduate rape,Undergraduate deaths,Undergraduate violence,financial misappropriation in our schools......... But could not report a science conference in our Universities especcially when it comes to Unilag! SMH!!! |

Not only Nigeria but also Africa,backward when it comes to science and technology. If we check 1000 top scientists in the world today,I bet no African will be featured. We've been mentally enslaved to believe and propagate white man's religion rather than invest in scientific research or at least host science fairs or shows. Nigeria is not self-efficient when it comes to science & technology that I wonder how a country like this can survive without being politically swayed by superpowers.It's high time we began to invest in science or to elect people that are progressively oriented into public offices. This Unilag conference,If implemented,will go along way modifying our decayed environment. |
