CultureRe: African Languages And Cultures Need To Be Eliminated As Soon As Possible. by MrOpaque: 11:08am On Aug 06, 2019
while I can agree that tribalism is holding Africa back I don't think its the languages that's the source of the problem as for culture that's kind of a 50/50.

most of Africa speaks English or Arabic and its still behind so just getting rid of the languages wont change things magically as for culture again it depends because some African countries adopted foreign concepts and that hasn't help much.
CultureWhen Did Things Go Wrong? by MrOpaque(op): 8:21am On Aug 06, 2019
hello I'm new but I've been lurking on this site for about four years or so but I've decided to join and add my two cents into somethings that I've noticed with this forum as well as other ones similar to it.

first off ill point out that I'm not Nigerian so I'm very ignorant to a lot of customs and traditions or the general history of Nigeria I'm not even from Africa but I am off African decent my paternal ancestry coming from Madagascar and my maternal ancestry from west Africa in both cases its hard to say which regions because my family has been in the Americas(north America the Caribbean and Latin America) since the 1820s in the case of my fathers family and as for my mothers side its unclear due to clear reasons.

now while I'm American and I will be honest I might come off as know nothing American but I do love history and I've studied and researched histories in different countries regions and continent's and I'm interested in the worlds different cultures.

but one thing I've noticed about Africa is the massive divide its clear that Africans hate each other I use to think that those of African decent outside of Africa only had this problem but its clear that its much worse in Africa most Africans can be from the same country and hate each other due to tribal affiliation.

its crazy add to that its clear that when it comes to regional views of each other its clear that there is no love.

east Africans especially in the case of Horn hate west and southern Africans for some reason they lump west Africans with bantus even though bantus aren't a race and bantus aren't really in west Africa they clearly see themselves as being non African or the superior African depending on who you speak to.

west Africans hate each other from the things I've seen on this forum proves that point as well non west Africans but I can kind of see why because everyone craps on west Africa I'm not even being bias for some reason everyone acts like west Africans are the worst even southern African bantus who I will be getting to.

north Africans hate non north Africans I get that they see themselves as different but that's not a unique thing to them all Africans think this of themselves but they take it beyond funnily enough they act like they are the best Africa has to offer but north Africa has only had a long history of getting conquered by others even Egypt who everyone wants to claim wasn't all that great they constantly got conquered.

southern Africans hate non southern Africans they act similar to north Africans in that they believe they are better then west africans it depends on the region and not just in the case of southern Africans in the case of bantus in east Africa bantus have been conquered gods knows how many times by everyone but they believe they are better them west Africans.

central Africans hate non central Africans and each other similar to west Africans.

its all over the place while all cultures have divides that exists no place is truly unified but no place is as bad as Africa when it comes to divides.

my question is how did it get to this point will it ever stop will Africans see that hating on each other isn't going to some how make their lives better?

most would point to colonialism and while that is a factor it seems like there is more to it then just that.
