The news or rumour about Uniabuja resuming on 27th is somehow taking a new dimension of being real as some Radio stations in the FCT has been announcing it since morning. For those thinking Uniabuja won't resume until admission list is pasted, please don't be so sure cos the school is filled with mystery. Even after resumption and commencement of lectures admission lists are still being pasted in many cases. So if you have seen your name on jamb portal prepare for resumption, cos the circular about resumption might be even out on Friday evening. For those still expecting there names keep hoping and praying for the best.

Ah! I hv to demand 4 evidence, in which year sch resumed wthout posting her List? And how could students resume wthout knwing weather dey are admttd or not?

Well, Friday is the judgement day for our resumption, if the admission list is out on friday then school has resumed automatically. Friday is just a day after next tomorrow, so let us watch. Surely all shall be well by HIS grace.

Uniabj is silence, no news no rumors. So u guys shld just continue to enjoy ursf at home.

MY RESPONSE TO THE NEW PROPOSED 2014/2015 ACADEMIC CALENDAR.

I deem it necessary to respond to the ongoing rumor on the 2014/2015 academic calendar.
Firstly, we must know that there is no official statement from the school management on the proposed school calendar which states that: freshers are to resume on 27th of Oct and stalites are to resume on 3rd of Nov.
Secondly, from the experience, we can differenciate between school calendar, management activities and school activities.
The proposed senate meeting in the said calendar is management activity which is only known to the top management officers and the quiz competition and orientation are known as school activities which can not be found in the school calendar.
The date, venue and time of these activities can be known through management memo.
Thirdly, SUG election also got date in the said calendar and what is vividly known to us is that SUG election usually take place in the second semester of every session.
Above all, The general election is taking place in Feb. 2015 and this proposed calendar didn't made provision for any break during this election period.
According to the said calendar, lecture continues from Jan. 5th to Jan. 25th, Senate meeting holds on 28th of Jan., revision starts on Feb. 16th and examination starts on Feb. 23th.
If you can observe this clearly, you will surely agree with me that this proposed academic calendar is nothing but rubbish.
You can only understand me better if you can Google "INEC proposed calendar for the 2015 general election".
Note: You must have PDF App before you can read the table.
Although, we may resume on the said date but most of the activities in the calendar are not visible.
Any inconveniences is highly regretted.

This thread is mainly for those who are seeking for admission into the university of Abuja. But the thread cannot be effective without the current students of the university since the Administrator of this thread do not provide the information. In case u don't know this thread is also view by many of our students. So due to that I think we discussing something that is not related to admission is not bad at all, because it good for you people to know some other activities of the school so that u won't be ignorance when u get there. Please I will like to read other's opinions on this; should we stop saying anything that does not concern ur admission or not. Please try and comment, because one the majority said we should stop then we have no option that to do so. But as for now our conversation continue.

Lol. I did not get any kerosene oo! So my 2K SUG fee should be used to reduce price of Kigali food not to repay loan.

Lol he can't reduce the price of Kigali food at all he was just making mouth, when he was campaigning I heard him with my two ears at the COV ground saying house rent must be reduce and even Okada price must come down if we elected him. You were not given kerosene or the 1k he shared but u are making use of the street light he put in one way or the other. This guy spend millions and we all know he use money to buy votes. Even if u were the one spend million when u get there ur first target will be how to get back ur money.

I like wat u wrote! It's not for the fresher alone, so anything going on is 4 d whole students of uniabj and d fresher even hv more chances as u may resume b4 us which we can't resume without you. The worst dat can happen to u is to resume with us and nothing more than that.

I am not in gwaz so when I heard of the 27th I confirmed it from pelumi dat is d SUG president b4 posting it here. So u can elaborate for us as usual if u hv more.

UNIABUJA RENOVATIONS IN PROGRESS...
University of Abuja lectures halls and hostels
are undergoing a major facelift. Some lecture
halls and hostels are currently under serious
and huge renovation. like we all know, mostly in
the mini campus, some hostels room was a real
hole. Sheets were so grey almost black and so
thin that you could see through them. Some
hostel matress was a thing that no one can
slept on, the bed was all wobbly and screechy,
some units in the hostel are kinds you need to
be really tired to have a good sleep there.
Cleanliness was hard to be examined, as
everything was so shabby and old. Paint falling
from the walls and doors. But kudos to the Vice
chancellor, Prof Adikwu, who deem it fit to see
the renovation a geniue one. The need of repair
and renovation of hostels and lecture halls can
result in improvement of living condition and
educational standard in the university.
