Celebrities / Singer's Court Trialover Debt Claimsbegin, March 30 by MrRaymond1(m): 8:01am On Mar 05, 2015
Nigerian music superstar D’banj is
having the time of his life with parties
and concerts around the globe
celebrating his 10th year anniversary as
an entertainer, however his alleged
debt allegation crisis that seems to have
died down has reared its ugly head up
again.
Reports have revealed that the singer
will be in court on Monday, March 30,
2015, to defend himself against
allegations of refusal to repay back
loans.
In the last quarter of 2014, multiple
media reports alleged that D’banj
might be dragged to court by a top
oil and gas industry player, Henry
Ojogho, Vice Chairman of Broron
Group. » Ojogho, who is also the Vice
Chairman of MindHub Technologies, an
integrated Rice farming and milling
production company, who alleged that
D’banj, through his company, DKM
Media Limited, obtained a loan of over
N60m from him in January 2013 and has
not paid back the said sum despite
signing an undertaking to do so.
Following this allegation, the writ of
summons and other relevant documents
in the suit was posted on D’Banj’s
residence on Osaro Isokpan Street in
Lekki Phase 1.
The pasting was done by the court bailiff
on December 17, 2014 at about
1:35p.m, pursuant to order of court
made on November 12, 2014 having
been satisfied that the defendant was
evading being served the notice.
Subsequently, the court case between
the DB Records boss and Mindhub
Technologies bearing suit number: LD/
ADR/445/14 was scheduled to
commence hearing on Monday, January
26, 2015 at the Multi-door Courthouse
in Obalende, Lagos, but it was
indefinitely postponed as a result of
strike by the Judiciary Staff Union of
Nigeria (JUSUN) which paralysed
activities and court rooms remain
closed.
The strike was recently called off by the
judicial workers, and immediately a new
date was set for the court case.
A source in the camp of the claimant’s
camp said, "Yes, we are back to court,
and we are aware that D’banj has
secured the services of a lawyer as well
who wants to file in some documents in
his defense, but we are yet to receive
the papers. Meanwhile the case has
been adjourned to March 30, 2015 at
the Multi-door Courthouse in Obalende,
Lagos."
In January 2015, D’banj kicked off his
10th year anniversary celebrations in
Lagos when he flew in American twerk
queen Amber Rose to host the kick-off
party in Lagos.
In February he moved the party to
South Africa where he was hosted at
‘Harlem’ and ‘Kong’ night clubs with a
lot of celebrities in attendance.
Last week Thursday, February 27, 2015,
D’banj headlined the Industry Night
celebrations in Dubai as part of his 10th
anniversary celebrations where he
performed alongside Kenya’s Sauti Sol,
Dubai’s G Mac and others.
Last month, popular journalist and
socialite, Azuka Ogujiuba of Thisday
Newspapers, in an Op-ed, revealed that
D’banj allegedly owes more money
than has been reported » .

Sports / Keshi Says Nigeria Offered Him"slave Contract" by MrRaymond1(m): 7:46pm On Feb 28, 2015
Abuja - Coach Stephen Keshi has said a
new deal offered him by Nigeria
amounted to a "slave contract".
A debate has raged whether 52-year-old
Keshi should be given a new contract
after he failed to qualify the Super Eagles
for the recent Africa Cup of Nations in
Equatorial Guinea.
His initial contract of three years ran out
after last year's World Cup in Brazil,
where Nigeria reached the last 16
knockout stages.
After a long wait, Keshi, who triumphed
with Nigeria at the 2013 Africa Cup of
Nations, said he had received his new
contract from the Nigeria Football
Federation (NFF), but had been far from
impressed with what was on offer.

which is 336.1m (1,105ft) tall, is in the
marina district of the city.
The fire is believed to have started on

now been brought under control. One
witness said it looked like “the Titanic
going down”, Gulfnews.com reported.
Terrified residents were forced to flee
and emergency crews rushed to the
scene to tackle the blaze which burned
across several floors of the enormous

Celebrities / I Intentionally Infect My Wife With HIV- Hanks Anuku by MrRaymond1(m): 11:10pm On Feb 22, 2015
Nollywood actor, Hanks Anuku has been
tested positive to HIV. Hanks told Pulse
Ghana that he left Nigeria on April 2011
to Zambia where he took part in various
plays on teaching about HIV and AIDS
without his wife and two kids for six
month, and ended up sleeping with 80
women.
According to Hanks, “Life in Zambia was
heaven on earth because we could enjoy
life, moving in all places but I was
missing my family. During that time I had
quite a number of sexual activities and I
slept with different women. When I
came back home I never took care of the
family. I started drinking life a fish and
became an irresponsible husband leaving
the entire burden to my wife”
Hanks said he intentionally infected his
wife, “I got tested while I was in Zambia
after one of my girlfriends advised me
about her pregnancy. She had gone for
pregnancy tests and during that time she
was tested for HIV and the results was
shocking, she was positive. She forced
me to get tested but I could not come to
terms with the results. After I got tested
I came back to Zimbabwe and I kept
quiet about the issue. I never told my
wife about the issue. I infected her but I
regret. I later on received some
counseling and it well well”
“During my peak of popularity I had sex
with approximately 80 women, within
Harare and Zambia. In 2002 it was so
amazing to be on TV. I abused the fame.
To make matters worse I lacked
counseling and I failed to handle it
properly, leaving me in this mud. I am
now a born again Christian with UFIC
under the guidance of Prophet Emmanuel
Makandiwa.”

Sports / Man United Best Team In League On Current Form - Van Gaal by MrRaymond1(m): 1:08am On Feb 21, 2015
London - A defiant Manchester United
manager Louis van Gaal has answered
critics of his side's performances by
pointing out that his team would be top
of the Premier League based on their
form since November.
The Dutchman has come under scrutiny as
United have put on a string of
uncharacteristically subdued displays since
taking over at Old Trafford, often relying
on excellent goalkeeper David De Gea
and snatching goals against the run of play
to carve out results.

worries receding
Van Gaal, who has tinkered with different
formations and resorted to playing striker
Wayne Rooney in central midfield,
defended the team's lack of attacking
verve by highlighting the results over the
last four months.
"When you see the score of the last 19 or
20 matches, we are the best team in the
league," Van Gaal told a news conference
on Friday ahead of his side's visit to
Swansea City on Saturday.
"I am never 100 percent (happy). We can
play better than we are now, but the
main thing is to win games. We've shown
our team spirit many times this season.
It's good for the fans and for me, as you
see a player wants to follow you."
United are third in the standings, 12
points adrift of leaders Chelsea, but have
taken more points (34) from their
previous 15 league matches than any
other Premier League side and have lost
just once in 19 games in all competitions.
They booked an FA Cup home quarter-
final against holders Arsenal with a 3-1
win at Preston North End on Monday.
In that match Van Gaal had to change the
formation and personnel after the 20-
times English champions fell behind
against their third-tier opponents.
"I believe that every player knows the
philosophy of me and my staff and
everyone wants to follow that
philosophy," Van Gaal said. "Our team
spirit is unbelievable.
"When we change the system during the
game we always surprise our opponent
and that's why it's also a good thing for
our team. Of course, it is not always that
we improve our game but mostly we
have improved and won the match, so
that's important."...
