Politics / Re: FG, Come Clean On Nigeria’s Bankruptcy by MrRichmond: 1:17pm On Nov 21, 2023
DeOTR:

Stop vomiting garbage from your mouth.
Demand accountability?! What's stopping you or anyone else from doing that? Will that make a difference and make them give you a listening hear? If the President do not do the right thing, what exactly can you do, remove him?
Demand accountability as if people have not been doing that before you were born.
I don't think I have time conversing with someone who thinks "demanding accountability" is the missing link in Nigeria politics.

I'm telling you the truth and you're calling it garbage.

What did I say about electing people who see themselves as leaders not elites

Have you and your generation ever put aside your primitive tribal brain and elected someone that really wants to serve

Continue groveling and begging like a helpless peasant. Lol!
Politics / Re: FG, Come Clean On Nigeria’s Bankruptcy by MrRichmond: 11:14am On Nov 21, 2023
DeOTR:

Nigeria is not designed for her leaders to be accountable to the citizens. Know this, know peace.

It is not designed because majority of the population including yourself view your leaders as gods.

The moment you all change this foolish perception, and demand accountability things will change. Else you will continue begging for scraps from those you queued under the scorching sun to put in power.

Obo n tawa, o rowa ni Nigeria.

Bruises wa ninu obo Nigeria?
Obo n tawa gidi-gan o?!
Oko nla ni APC gbewa, dido yi poju, the poor can't breathe!!!
Make Nigeria no die of hard fûck o!
Help is needed. Things must change for better.

You're begging a public servant to undo what he and predecessors did This is where you got it wrong. It should always be the other way around.
Elect people that are accountable to you not those who see themselves as "Elites" These is a reason they are called public servants!!
Politics / Re: Most Competent Solution To Naira Fall Against The US Dollar by MrRichmond: 1:43pm On Oct 25, 2023
PaNnamdi:

No amount of confidence will save the naira if those at the head refused to do the right thing.

Let one naira be fixed at one dollar or better still lets accept USD or crypto for payment in Nigeria.
That's the only solution.

This is exactly what I was telling my brother yesterday.
Accepting Bitcoin as official legal tender will help a lot, at least stabilize the economy so that we can figure this Naira issue.
El Salvador did something similar and a few years down the line, their economy is doing better.
This is a smart move, but it will take a lot of balls to pull off.
Politics / Re: Tinubu Tells U.S. Court He’ll Be Badly Affected If FBI Releases His Records – PG by MrRichmond: 9:26pm On Oct 23, 2023
StOla:
Tinubu using the same trick only to deflate their delusions when nothing significant is released.

PG using the same catchy headlines to feed the mob while they smile to the bank.

The zombie mob would eventually turn their vile and aggression towards the FBI when the dust settle and Tinubu is still Tinubu the President.

That is the point I will wait to see what else David Hundeyin will offer as food to those who rely on his propaganda for sustenance.

Anyone who can cash out of this scenario had better do so before the bubble bust, like Hundeyin and PG are already cashing out.

Some printed shirts and sold to the zombies, psychiatrist might have a rewarding day attending to many deluded souls.

Use them who are already useless.

one of the reasons I didn't want tinubu to win.

Still fake news.

Clearly he is focused on the law that grants children of illegal immigrants citizenship by birth, nowhere did he say he will block all Nigerians from gaining US citizenship.

ONLY those that come into the US illegally!!!

Which is common sense.

Lets endeavor to read the news properly instead of letting people manipulate you with sensational headlines.

Since women love sex more than men, why is it men who buy sex? Let’s not forget the fact that men kill themselves over women

Women enjoy sex more than men, but men want it more.

It is how nature programmed it.

They have more nerve endings in and around their vaginas and feel it more than a man can ever imagine.

Politics / Re: Tony Elumelu Calls Tinubu 'Last Man Standing'. Tinubu Says: 'Still Standing' by MrRichmond: 7:30am On Mar 09, 2023
DeOTR:

My problem with people is that they only see the minute negative side of things, but ignore its enormous gains.
Not everyone can afford to train to be a pilot or attend some specialized trainings, but with student loans targeted at specific area of specializations, the positive impact would be unimaginable.
I was on student loans myself, so I'm talking from a position of someone who knows better. The job I got two months before the training I took the loan to attend could pay it back within 3 years if I'm paying back 30% of my net monthly take home pay.
That's not too bad if you ask me.
In my current job, I could pay the entire loan within 6 months.

My only advice is that the loan should only be given to students that want to go for specialize trainings/studies, of course, after they might have gained admission for the training.

I agree.

It became a real problem in the US because it was abused.

They dolled out student loans to people reading mediocre courses like gender studies which have no real-world value, making them unable to pay back even after getting a job.

On the other hand, Nigeria has a job crisis and a salary problem, even in specialized careers.

We have doctors and nurses leaving the country every month due to poor salaries and this is just one example.

This policy has failed and put millions of Americans in debt.

Ekiti is is 80% Yoruba Christian, and if we believe some urchins on here, a "Yoruba Muslim" is not expected to do well here. If I am correct Buhari only won Ekiti once in his many campaigns.

Its funny that its the states like Lagos, Ogun and Oyo that have sizable Yoruba muslim populations that Obi is doing well in... maybe next time some people will campaign in a more inclusive way and stop calling people names.

Ekiti always vote apc, nothing new here.

We have the know how.. To be honest we don't have to know how at the beginning. We just have to put in efforts to learn. The whites also learnt.

Them Telling us we 'don't have the know how to manufacture' is pure colonial imperialist brain washing.

The colonial masters once claimed the India can't manufacture or produce any thing, but look at India today.

Naah, this isn't colonial brainwashing; it's being realistic.

Having the know-how is extremely crucial before embarking on constructing things that could end up killing people if done wrong.

The whites have had decades of trial and error; they know what works best and what doesn't.

India and China mostly learned from the west, they created education programs and exported their brightest to the west, who brought back their knowledge to help develop their countries.

Why aren't we doing something similar?

This is pure capitalism, not industrialization.

True industrialization is when the masses can easily build or play a very important role in the industrialization process and also benefit financially.

In summary, true industrialization will enable the masses make real man money directly.

This project will only make the rich richer.

No be today govt don dey promise refinery.

you have a point. But Nigeria doesn't have the know-how for building things, at least at this moment.
Do you have any alternative ideas that can put on the path towards true industrialization instead of depending on multinationals to construct things for us?

When will Nigerians have sense
