Buy Domain Only You Believed in - Not what Stats says:

To the newbie reading this, feeling excited seeing sales with 4fig. it's true no amount of reading will prepare you ahead of buying that domain for $9.99

You pay for the name, why? Simple answer, Your instinct tells you I can sell this domain (uninformed presimistic stage)...

6 month gone but no sales, this is the cross road that define the presimistic and optimistic person.

Same way there're informed and uninformed presimistic...

Let me change the narrative, Spam isn't your problem, all you just need to do is stay in the day one mindset with a new perspective "You pay for the name, why? Simple answer, Your instinct tells you I can sell this domain".

You can either be informed presimistic or informed optimistic. I would encouragement you to be optimistic, work hard and believe but regardless, offer value to your endusers...

with GPT and Claude there are billions way to create problems and solutions as a content to email writing... anything that offer value and solution first before follow up pitching next. (Another post coming up on outbound days and tone patterns matters)

Here is a general and quick way to HR/ pick ED domain without stress.

0. Any domain or keyword with Google pages full of sponsor ads grab the domain and think later... lol

A. NICHE FILTER (Must pass 3/4)
i. Average job value $1,500+
ii. Ongoing / repeat demand (better if it's emergency eg roof leak or plumbing)
iii. Businesses already running ads
iv. Keyword causes visible pain (awkward URLs, poor rankings)

❌ If it fails 2+ → SKIP

B. GEO FILTER
Tier 1 or Tier 2 city
Commercial activity visible
Multiple operators (5+)
Market not price-sensitive

If city feels “quiet” → SKIP
hack: specialist medical and law niche are ONLY for Tier 1 cities else OYO.

C. DOMAIN STRUCTURE CHECK
i. Clean read in one breath
ii. No hyphens / gimmicks
iii. Obvious service + geo OR strong brand geo
iv. Passes “would a business owner use this?” test

If you hesitate reading it → SKIP

If you can’t visualize a buyer → SKIP

I will stop here don't want to go deeper... of course there are always exceptions.

Top tiers 1: Texas (Dallas, Houston, Austin)
Florida (Miami, Tampa, Orlando)
Arizona (Phoenix, Scottsdale)
California (selectively)
Losangeles newyork miami dallas houston sandiego sanfrancisco DFW chicago atlanta phoenix Scottsdale McKinney Westchester

Mid-tier 2.
Austin nashville tampa orlando fortworth denver seattle sanjose sanantonio lasvegas scottsdale irvine orangecounty sanmateo oakland (All construction and handyman agbero)

Tie 3: smaller or less competitive cities
columbus cincinnati cleveland indianapolis milwauke stlouis kansascity minneapolis pittsburgh detroit louisville

Gems don't sit on the surface, you have to dig the earth for them. Hardwork, persistent and consistently pay.

Applied knowledge is what distinguish a winner from others.

Edited: To abide with intellectual/patent rules of the wasap group I belong. I have modified the Sales image no copyright/conflict of interest.

Please how do you check for domain or keyword with Google pages full of sponsor ads?

So Where's the lie in the original post?

Do you guys take blood transfusions before or not?
Is it the scriptures or the governing body that updated the policy on "no blood transfusions" to allow taking your own stored blood through transfusions, today?

The governing body interprets the scriptures for you because you guys have no brains or probably can't read the bible, right?
How did a symbol of life become the essence of life??
This isn't an update but a total change of blood doctrine invented by a drunkard trying not be part of the world

Maybe the problem is that you are not listening to what she's saying, or holding yourself accountable. As much as you men will like to demonize women, no sane woman will leave her marriage just because her husband snores.

If you are tired of the marriage, then leave. You are the man, you should end the marriage if your wife no longer respects you. You probably think she will never leave, but one day you will wake up and she's gone. I suggest you and go and fix your marriage, and stop playing the victim!
Good heavens, please why not give yourself these same advice that you are giving someone else, or at the very least extrapolate the principles for yourself.

Re-read your advice slowly again, then you will find out the energy behind your wordings really tells who you are, energy never lies, it's like a mirror. Please both of you guys need to work on yourself, especially you.

The price of NCR at the market close on that day was 171.05. The factor y would be the price difference on the reference price of 171.05 which was the price it closed on the day he asked the question. (171.05 + y) wrt NCR is the new price.

To generalize, for other stocks, just replace this as SP= selling price on profits

Therefore

Number of units to sell to take off profits = Holding on the particular stock x (SP-CP)/SP
CP = Cost Price.

Below is an example to clarify further.

E.g
You bought 1mill units of a UBA at 30.00 and wish to take off profits at its a current price of say 45.00
Holding =1,000,000
CP=N30
SP=45
Gain =15

Number to sell to take off profits

=1,000,000 x 15/45
=15,000,000/45
=333,333 approximately

That’s you will need to sell off 333,333 from your 1 mill units and allow the rest to run for future gains.
Ignore the charges.

Please note, this is not the only method to take profits but it’s how I do it. In that way I don’t miss anything. Like, selling off completely to only regret a sudden future rally.
Thank you very much for the explanation

@Okikiola914

Take your profits off the table. If you bought P number of shares at N69.00 , and tomorrow’s price is 171.05 + y, you will need to sell off
P x {(171.05 +y)-69} / (171.05 +y) number of units and bank . Let the rest run and keep banking as you go along. The 2025 Q4 results will determine next line of action beyond that.

The formula above says, multiple your units (P) by the price tomorrow at point of sell ( ie 171.05 +y) after you minus the price you bought it ( ie 69) from the tomorrow price …the answer is in Naira. Divide that number by tomorrow’s price at point of sell and it will give you the number of your units you need to sell off to bank your profits. Let the rest run.

This number is an approximation as it accommodates charges.
This is a helpful formula. Please what does the '+y' stand for?

Very impressive achievement by these two young men.

Even more impressive is the fact that under this deal, a non executive board member of Peter Thiel''s company Palantir has joined the board of this Nigerian company created by these two young Igbo men.

For those who don't know, Peter Thiel is basically the guy who created Elon Musk and a lot of other tech billionaires. He's basically like a godfather in Silicon Valley. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time he has ever shown enough confidence in the commercial potential of an African tech startup company to invest in it.
If Peter Thiel joins the board of that company, it must be profitable and scalable. Congrats to those young guys. The odds that they will be successful is great now.

I checked online and the price of gold (1 oz) was less than 1m in 2020. Now, it's 6.2m per oz in 2025. This means his 3m would have bought more than 3oz in 2020. Keeping it till now would net him close to 20m, which isn't bad (imho). I just asked my sister and she said she bought 700k worth of gold and sold for approximately 1.1m in 1 or 2 years (she isn't sure), which isn't bad still. That's conveniently 50% (if a year) or 25% (if 2 years). Its still better than the rates most banks will pay, based on what I see here. I want to learn more about this to invest.

@MrSamsung

Bying land in a good location is also very good. I bought a land for 1.2m in 2023 and it's worth 4m in 2025. Same location, but closer to the road, a friend bought one plot for 900k in 2022 and it's worth 5m in 2025.
Well I am glad you understood what I wrote and even went further to find the true prices(I was using the worst case scenario for that guy to understand and see that the gold buyer was cheated, if we were to go by his words). Some assets are very valuable that they are globally priced. So no matter the currency you have, buy.

So where did you and your friend buy these lands? And please how do you determined a good location?

So you didn't answer my last question but let me help you out:

Let's just assume at the worst case scenario that in 2020 that dollar was N500, gold was N1million per oz(i.e 28g least) or gold price in dollar at the highest was $2100, that man with his N3m should have gotten at the bearest minimum between 2.7oz- 3oz of gold, which in today's money is far more than the N7m he mentioned.

That's why I said they cheated him( or maybe he's not telling the truth). And that the currency doesn't matter as long as it was gold that was bought at the right AMOUNT(Very important).

No it matters, as at when he invested in gold naira was around 300/400 to a dollar, while dollar remained kind of stable, naira suffered a serious loss from mid 2023 till now. If he had converted that money to dollar before investing it in gold, he would have gotten a lot more by now. What 3m can get in 2020, 7m can't get it now, but what 5k dollars in naira equivalent can get 2020, 2k dollars or less in naira equivalent can get it now. Any assets trader will understand how these things works.
Okay how much do you think gold was in naira in 2020?

Whether he invested in naira or dollar it doesn't matter as long as it is gold.

Have you done the math? You realize that in real terms, you've lost about 36% of your investment with those numbers, right?

N3m in 2020 was about $7,500 (at N400 / $).

Today, N7m is about $4,800 (at N1460 / $).

Unfortunately, you're way behind where you started. And that doesn't account for inflation and purchasing power erosion, which will further compound your losses.

Good job in investing your money, but this isn't the profit it appears you think it is.
He didn't lost because he invested in gold, no he lost because he was cheated on the amount of oz of gold he supposed to have gotten. Though I think he has not realized that.

I will respond to this tribal outburst directly.
First, what exactly compelled you to address me as “Shinedu”? Why is your reflex response to criticism of government or leadership to drag the Igbo identity into it? When faced with a simple observation or complaint, why do you instinctively search for an ethnic scapegoat?

Do you seriously believe Nigeria consists only of Igbos, Yorubas, and Hausa/Fulani, or is this just intellectual laziness disguised as tribal defensiveness?

As for “impact,” I am under no obligation as a private citizen to justify my existence or list my contributions to you. One, you wouldn’t believe it anyway. Two, you’re not asking in good faith. You’re only fishing for ammunition to fuel yet another tribal rant.

Whether you like it or not, successive governments are largely responsible for the poor image Nigerians face abroad. This is not opinion; it is reality staring us in the face: lack of transparency, zero accountability, entrenched corruption, and a shameful indifference to the insecurity ravaging the country. The list goes on.

Fix the rot at the head, and the body will heal. Until then, spare us the tribal deflections, they solve nothing.
Well said

I would prefer to believe you didn't understand that bolded part. She was referring to the fact that the children were becoming adults hence the bonding time left was dwindling so that the dad/father figure could utilize it while it was available because once lost it'd be difficult to recreate the opportunity.

And I believe it is a good thing, optimizing utility of time windows, how is that spoiling children?

Maybe then you will get the sense and bigger picture(consequential part) of my reply to her which might come to you if you understand that there's no METAPHOR in her statement, because I believe she wrote her heart there and she mean it literally, no lies( especially the bolded part)

You know, in this my family,I looked at the future and wanted to prevent this lamentation. I do not have girls. And oga was behaving like typical igbo father. I started weekend time with the kids. The kitchen is for you and your kids. The man was very stoic at first. Dishing out orders left and right. Told him better to calm down. The aim is for bonding and not dishing out orders. Bond with your kids and play with them. Noticed they cannot jump on the bed when the dad is there.
Anything school, my hands off. Cleaning the house is between him and them.
Still seeing them as kids when they are already taller than him. Now its time to start discussing man topic, they will ask me instead of him.
If I see any nigerian man that is flexible with his male child, I duff my hat for that man.

All the low self esteem and nonsense we see here is cos of present but absent fathers.

My kids are already clingy around me no matter how independent I want them to be. Was very sick couple of days ago. Nasty flu.
See them so scared and checking on me. I have seen their behaviour when their dad is sick.
Hmm.
May heaven help us
What's the meaning of the bolded(are you that condescending towards your husband, just because the kids are taller they're no longer kids?) and the rest of your posts? You are using your own hands and mind to spoil your children and family but you just don't know it yet.

Back to the topic I am a woman and I wonder how a Dad whose job description doesn't permit him closing before 7 will bond with the kids on weekdays if not only on weekend my mum was a retired teacher later became a principal who closes by 2:30 to 3 at times while my dad a lecturer and sometimes Hod closes by 6 and even after that organises meetings and seminars too so who will have time to bond with the kids more if the job description were reversed won't it be our dad who will bond with us more? still doesn't make my mom not loving us too especially as my mum also have holidays which will make her available to the kids more compared to my dad who even in his 8 years of lecturing I didn't think he had sabbatical more than 3 times and that was to further his studies

It's the job of a good wife to still impart in the kids that despite their dads job schedule doesn't allow him have enough time doesn't mean he isn't still caring for them more kids value things that are physical to them even though it's minute and perishable than more important things that will last more and will better their future my mom buys clothes and shoes for us yet we we will appreciate it more and even complained that my dad don't do this for us my mom will then caution us that so our dad who pays our school fees,buy books,take us for medical care ,and buys foodstuffs don't also care for us?or are they not even more important than shoes and clothes that will fade and tear and that we should always appreciate him the more also but you know some other wife's will never correct their kids and let them assume their father isn't loving or caring to them?
I am a mom now also and I understand better I take care of both my parents even my dad more because I understood his sacrifices for us.

even when he started living with an hereditary delibitating illness which exhausted him and was later involuntarily retired,was owed his pension and arrears for few years before he was paid and my mum became the sole breadwinner she never made it known that all the tuition fees and materials she bought for us while in the higher institutions didn't come from my dad, even though we knew the reality then never did she rub it on his face or let it potray to her own family.
my mum could never leave her husby and travel for a week even when we had grown up and could cook she could never travel then more than a week probably because they are destined for each other when my brother wanted to name his son in Ibadan and my mum was invited both my parents couldn't go because of dads health and he couldn't drive his car at a long distance again I even thought my mum will stay like 3 weeks to familiarize with the baby mbah o after 6 days she ran back to ekiti though her in-law (my brothers wife mum) was there too despite she knew I and our last born was with my dad then: we were keeping him company and still taking care of him we were even old enough to be married too then oo

my mum will warn us that if any of us is abroad and wants her to come visit or live permanently she isn't going without her husband but many of our nowadays mother's can never do that how can you abandon your man at old age to go live with your kids?if I use the correct word now bot will ban me and it isn't as if it's because she was my dad's only wife even that was how her grandmother whom she took after her character was she was loving,loyal,and devoted till the end and she wasnt her great grandpa's only wife.
society isn't fair on men so I prefer they even marry more than a wife at least all of them won't neglect him for the kids at old age

I pray my son marries someone who will love him unconditionally as my mom loves my dad so also should you nairaland men pray to marry a woman like my mum who is also wise may you not jam a manipulative,unfeeling,self centered woman who will render all your sacrifices on your kids as a waste!!
I don't know what to say but God bless your heart

Why would anyone spend ₦37 million on a wedding? That’s just madness. Years ago, my own wedding budget was ₦5 million, but I told my wife there was no way I’d spend that much, even though I had saved it. I told her I only had ₦2 million to work with.
After the wedding, I visited my dad and mentioned that I wanted to buy a car with the remaining ₦3 million. He looked at me and said, “You don’t need a car right now. Your office isn’t far, and it’s not a necessity.”
While we were still talking, he called a friend who was selling some land. That’s how I ended up buying 50 plots at ₦50,000 each.
Today, one plot is worth about ₦6 million, meaning that investment is now worth around ₦300 million.
Imagine if I had spent all ₦5 million on the wedding. That one decision not to overspend on a wedding changed my financial life forever.
Which state did you buy these cheap lands and how did you prevent scamming
