We have checked the skilled occupation list but we are not sure which occupation code best fits his profile. Could someone please advise:

1. What occupation should we nominate him under?
2. Which skills assessment body should he use?
3. What is the best visa subclass for his profile - 189, 190 or 491?
4. What are the first steps to start the process?

Any guidance from those who have knowledge on ACS assessment for Software Engineer / Developer Programmer would be highly appreciated.

Someone sent me an email here, I responded thinking he had something good to offer based on my enquiries here, he asked that I pay money to link me to someone who would do a paid call to UkVI for me and I will get approval same day as he got. Lol.

I refused the offer, he proceeded to tell me he wants to sell a guide to me on how to do the paid call. Mugu must fall, abi? Mtchew.

Everything should not be an avenue to leach and scam others.

Where did you get the information of them not issues cas for MRes from? I don’t think that’s accurate because ysj even did webinar for us just last week saying I can still pay my deposit even though it’s not complete yet so I haven’t paid. Also, I got my unconditional offer in less than 48hrs after my agent applied for it after submitting all documents.

Is your agency talking about deferring the admission?

Wow! What’s your issue with them? I didn’t use Hench tho, I am using Whiterock and I also do not like the fact that they need to send CAS through them but they’ve been doing okay so far.

Wow… you’re so lucky… I am yet to get my unconditional offer after passing the pre CAs interview over a month ago, then just recently I was told that YSJ is no longer issuing CAS to MRes applicants, so all efforts have been wasted … it is well

York St. John university needs to do better, the process of not having to apply directly and having to go through agents, especially with CAS issuance… Hench education is not even helping at all 🤦🏽‍♀️

Good afternoon guys University of Algarve is now open for 2026/2027 admission cycle,
the beauty of it is that you can apply without legalized documents, all you need to do is to authenticate your certificate at MOE&MOFA then you can apply. you can confirm that from the section other your choice program, try and check the slots available for Non EU students, though it is around 25 slots for international students and application fee is 50 euros, but since it is competitive now, one needs to add other additional documents like good motivational letter, good CV, experience letter, English proficiency and Eligibility letters, infact any additional documents that can aid you in being considered for admission.

Italy, not sure about the type of visa, I didn’t have any idea of the travel, I just found out not too long ago

I seriously hope you have taken my suggestion of moving to the other bank seriously.

Just to encourage you a little bit more, the advice I gave you earlier was coming from personal experience as I worked in sales and had colleagues who went through the exact same thing you did.

One thing I noticed is the women struggled to manage their suspensions due to apprehension and worries while the men simply moved on with life usually in another bank.

They say no situation is permanent, which is quite true in banking (as they could call you back whenever they feel like), but we are all adults and have meaningful lives to live, no manager or institution has the right to be playing with your future and giving you high bp for simply doing your job.

It’s not about being a woman or a man… it won’t be easy getting another bank job, because the new employer will still carry out background checks with my former bank, before my employment will be confirmed.

Like you advised, I’ve accepted the new bank offer, but I have just few months (before confirmation) to clear my name with my former bank

My brother commercial banks ? Report them to CBN , human rights , that is breach of trust like I said except you are part of the scheme. As a commercial bank they ought to know the regulations guiding against loans .
You are not obliged to do recovery because there's an arm in every money lending institution. Withholding your salary is criminal offence or maybe your employment letter states that you will be held liable for any loss to the bank that is why always consult a lawyer when you get employed

I wasn’t part of any scheme, I just did my job, and giving out loans to customers is part of my kpi, all due diligence was properly done

First your job as a sales person is to bring business to the bank , they did their verification, it went through CAM , the risk department vetted and approved it by declaring the customer credit worthy , management approved for disbursement then you have no case except you are part of the game .
Now placing you on a loan recovery mission let me ask what happened to the recovery department? What happened to insurance on the loan ? What happened to his / her guarantor?,
Institute a legal proceedings on the breach of your fundamental rights by withholding your salary .
I am speaking from experience during my time with an MFB , they are very complicent most especially all these unit micro finance bank

Customer was verified with BVN, address, business doc

You attempted recovery via phone, SMS, and known contacts

Customer abandoned business and absconded

You even attempted to reach the embassy

This protects you from any claim of negligence.

A borrower who intentionally absconds has committed fraud.
But you have not.

This situation is recoverable, and there are structured ways to protect yourself so your career and finances don’t collapse because of one customer’s actions.

There was no collateral, the only security used was insurance bond, and other banks cheque (which was presented and bounced back)
