Please,matured minds in the house,is it a good thing for a man to help his ex girlfriend who's now married, financially. She used to be someone whom I loved so dearly in the past but unfortunately,she broke up with me immediately she met someone who was already asking her hand in marriage. It's been over 3 years since she got married and I made sure I cut every bit of communication between us. Out of the blue,I don't know who gave her my number. She called me,and apologized for what she did to me. Even before she could ask for my help,I already knew her husband wasn't financially buoyant like I thought. She said she wants to open a provision store ,cuz immediately after they got married,they relocated to Lagos. And she asked for my assistance.

So,I don't know if it's appropriate at all to help her, considering how she left me emotionally stranded when I needed her the most in my life. Tho I've completely moved on with my life,but receiving a call from her brought back a whole lot of memories.

Please,my fellow Nairalanders, reason with me. Should I help her out?

You are twisting things here. The topic is not about punishing children versus punishing adults. The topic is about punishing adults that are married versus punishing adults that are not married.

So, any apprentice that is single is automatically a child and every married apprentice is an adult? Don't you see shops where married apprentices are younger than the unmarried ones? Do not tie dignity to marriage. Anything that is humiliating for a married adult is equally humiliating for an unmarried adult. Becoming an adult is natural while marriage is by choice. You are missing the point. As long as the offences are the same, let the punishment be the same.

If you condemn the punishment because the offender is married, condemn the same punishment when the offender is single.

The reward or punishment for an action should not be based on marital status. Otherwise, biase and discrimination will reign.

The only road to Aso rock for ADC is to make Atiku the candidate. This is technically the turn of the south as it were and no northerner would want to vote another southerner who would do another 8 years in power! So if at all they would prefer a Jonathan or just go with the incumbent so they get power back in 2031. An obi presidency means they would have to wait till 2035. Or for obi better way for him would be is be a vice to Atiku. Then when he's done run for office. if he thinks the northerners would vote for him then he's in a dream world. The north always has the voting power in any election way more than the south.
