NPF ARRESTS NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBERY SYNDICATE, RECOVERS 10 STOLEN VEHICLES IN KADUNA

The Nigeria Police Force, through the Force Intelligence Department – Special Tactical Squad (FID-STS), has recorded a major operational breakthrough with the arrest of three (3) notorious armed robbery suspects and the recovery of ten (10) stolen vehicles in Kaduna State.

The suspects; Abubakar Musa (36), Hassan Umar (30), and Joshua Raphael (20), were apprehended on 16th March 2026 in Kaduna State.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the principal suspect, Abubakar Musa, is a dismissed Corporal of the Nigerian Army who has been impersonating a serving soldier to evade detection while carrying out armed robbery operations with his accomplices.

Further findings indicate that the syndicate specialized in the theft and movement of stolen vehicles, often removing or altering registration details to conceal their identity and ownership.

The operation led to the recovery of ten (10) vehicles of various brands, including Toyota Hilux trucks, Toyota Corolla cars, a Pontiac Vibe GT, a Honda vehicle, a Lexus car, and a Toyota RAV4 SUV, with several of the vehicles found without registration numbers.

Investigations are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the syndicate and recover additional exhibits.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, commends the operatives for their professionalism and reiterates the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety of lives and property.

A stolen case is a stolen case, until the culprit is being apprehended. As a business owner it is very important ypu own up and tell your side of the story to clear your name. If he said he referred to someone else they won't even charge him but to produce the person he did referral for( this is only going to happen when he has a lawyer and not just him going alone).

A stolen phone case is not something they close up, this buyer was just a victim of circumstance and he can make a huge case out of it. Dont come and play down this talk casually please

I've been talking to people and it seems like most Nigerian companies offer basically nothing — no food allowance, no transport, no gym, no learning budget. To be honest most startups will not give you this benefits, establish companies with serious footings locally can afford some benefits like housing and wardrobe allowances.


In most cases the basic salary has never been enough, a salary earner might be collecting 300k and you find our thr basics is not up to 100k, the rest are allowances paid monthly to make the salary looks enticing.

International company has benefits payed based on grade of entry, some do profit sharing while some do 13th month salary. Local companies also do Christmas giveaway, leave allowances, they also pay some token for celebration like child birth, wedding, etc. Burial for some companies and I am sure all this can be counted as benefits for the company.
