It definitely should be. Not everyone is a fan of manual transmission tho. Nigerian driving requires a lot of energy, mental and physical - bad roads, retarded road users, traffic offenders in uniform ; Automatic transmission helps u conserve that energy.

Brand new, diesel is way more expensive to acquire than petrol.
Also depends on brand and where you are buying from, i doubt if i would buy the HDI engine of Peugeot because i dont understand that diesel technology.

Yes most brands have same engine inside not a toyota thing though, the VW TDI too are identical in many car class, golf, caravelle, passat etc. Though there are some exceptions like the V6 TDI in audi sedans and VW toureg and the V12 TDI Quattro in the audi Q7.
