There is no big nation with a population like Nigeria without scammers. Of course, scammers can never end but they can be reduced to the barest minimum.
Scamming in Nigeria is caused by two major factors: the accumulation of leadership failures and social media.
Nigeria as of today has the highest number of poverty, that is higher than the total number of poor people in both India and China. A country where unemployed and underemployed people are over 100 million, and government bad policies, bad investment pattern failed to lift them up from poverty. No thief sees what to steal and opportunity to steal it will leave it.
Most of young Nigerians wake up without knowing where the next meal will come from! It's alarming and young people ending up in scamming activities with securities being porous and ineffective with the same reason of leadership failures.
Social media contributed to present high rate... Take a look at TikTok, where the scammers display their money, showcasing the ill-gotten funds and telling the hungry youths that you can and scam others, without security interfering and walk free. Instead of government to take action on those actors and media in which they use to influence others, they are busy chasing clouds.
I strongly believe that once a good leader emerge to become the president of Nigeria with policies that will lift young Nigerians from poverty. Mostly, policies of production and investment not policies of consumption, favoritism, nepotism, tribalism and religious bigot, scamming in Nigeria will reduce. (Credit to DeGreat Collins) |

Righthussle: Scammers
The only thing these fools know how to control is Minimum wage.
They can't control food prices
They can't control petrol price
They can't control the value of the naira
They drive big big cars
Appoint their family members as judges
Appoint their inlaws as heads of government parastatals
Help their children become commissioners
They keep renovating the prisons where they send only the children of the poor
Herdsmen chase and kills farmers every day with long guns, yet their dogs are busy moving from hotel to hotel looking for Yahoo boys because our lives don't matter to them.
One day, the people will speak in one voice.
