Sorry orry o. However, the airline was acting out of an excess of caution, probably cant blame them.

If an airline brings a passenger on a non-resident travel document (e.g and most usually, a visitor's visa) and that person is denied entry, then na for them head to carry the person back to where them carry come from. Remember say a visitor's visa no dey guarantee person entry to the country, a visitor's visa is just permission to come to the UK Border and knock on the door asking them to let you in. UKBA people fit turn person back if they decide say dem no go gree you enter.

In that case, Royal Air Maroc is liable for carrying him back to Naija, or else they could face a heavy fine. That's why they wan dey sure say the person get return ticket. Given that the return ticket was with another airline, they probably havent the capacity to reach out to start verifying the validity of that ticket, after all it could be fake and it is actually quite unusual for a visitor's visa holder to buy two separate one-way tickets.

No vex, but it is what it is, and Nigeria is sadly not known for being a fraud-free nation, so the people at the check in desk can argue they were probably reasonably justified in refusing boarding if the matter goes up. I dont think you can get much from Royal Air Maroc though.
So explanatory and well detailed. Thank you so much for responding. I totally understand all you said and how you took time to break it down. I have learnt and will take caution next time. Thank you

Ask your boyfriend to tell you the real reason(s) he was denied boarding.
Airlines will only want to see if he has a valid visa/entry clearance for his final destination. E no concern Air Maroc which airline him wan use for him return trip.

Well, at least from my personal experience.
I am not talking based on hearsay please. I booked all these tickets myself and was even on call with the agent. They were so rude and I’m still yet to get over the shock. In all of my existence, I have never heard where an airline would deny someone boarding because he has a valid return ticket from a different airline.
I will drag them everywhere and I won’t keep quiet until they pay for every damage they caused.

Sorry. Apologies to him on his experience. I don’t really know what you can do but send an official complaints to the customer care of the airline and escalate it from there.
Did he have a valid Turkish Airlines ticket actually booked and paid for on his travel date? If yes, I would escalate all concerns until everything is refunded. Drag them everywhere draggable on SM if it gets to that.
think they find the airlines when a passenger travels on a one way ticket when it’s a visit visa.
If you are buying tickets from Wakanow, Travel start etc you would notice immediate you book a one way ticket they would call you up to ask you why.
If you go on to say, I have a studnet visa or a work visa, then they would proceed to issue your tickets.

It is because of the huge fines they pay when visitors travel on one way tickets and never return. Ordinarily if the Turkish airlines ticket is also valid I don’t understand why they did this. Royal Maroc is Morroco’s airline and sometimes they can be quiet intense with fellow Africans especially if it’s a Nigerian. Egypt air does the worst out of the bunch.
Thank you so much for the response. He has a valid return ticket from Turkish airline, I booked it myself. I am not a fan of Royal air because of their being notorious for missing luggage and shitty service but that was the only available flight at that time and I insisted he wasn’t going to use them on return, the reason I booked turkish.
This is just the height and even when I contacted the travel agency, they were shocked and they said it is strange.
I will take it up with Royal air and drag them everywhere.
Thank you so much

Good morning everyone.
Please I need urgent answers to these question.
My boyfriend who has a visitor visa to Uk was denied boarding by Royal air maroc official because his return ticket is from Turkish airline.
As per policies, I want to be believe all airlines are independent and royal air has no business with his return ticket.
I am so pained, frustrated and confused.
What can I do?

My fiance visit visa was approved on Friday and he picked up today, exactly 11 days after biometrics.
I am currently on a tier 4 visa and I did all his application.
I don’t know if this will help anyone but he has never been outside Nigeria before, infact it’s a virgin passport.
WHAT WE DID DIFFERENTLY.
1. I added a 3 paged cover letter explaining his source of fund and why he won’t overstay his visa.
2. I added our chats from 2022
3. I added all his work contract and his ig page
4. I added all my document as well including brp and statement of account.
5. I wrote an invitation letter detailing why he won’t overstay and how I will be responsible for his exit after his time here elapses.

But the application wasn’t without flaw
1. I forgot to add house contract
2. I added his CAC which wasn’t active
3.I added 2 and half month bank statement.
4. He has never travelled before.

Visa approval or rejection is based on individuality and now i understand convincing the VO always go a long way when deciding cases.

I am the happiest person today.
