Manchester United are closing in on a deal to appoint Jose Mourinho as their new manager in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The former Chelsea boss has held positive talks with the United hierarchy and has his heart set on landing the top job at Old Trafford, with Louis van Gaal having seen a turbulent 2015-16 campaign up to now.




The report suggests that no deal has yet been signed, although it is seemingly only a matter of time before the 53-year-old is announced as Van Gaal's replacement at the Premier League club.
