Grazing used to be free, our cattles used to walk thousands of miles crossing various states, it used to be fun watching the over 30cows graze and been guided by two fulani herdsmen, villagers used to give them food wen they have enough, We used to share our source of water with these animals. Now our lands has the stench smell of blood, and our adrenaline run high with panic wen we see the herdsmen and the cows. WHAT HAPPENED TO US.

@ post...I have read Things Fall Apart, Not a penny more..., The Godfather, Catch22 (which, for the life of me is a )..
For some reason I hate reading soft copies of books, or I would have read The Brothers Karamanov and 100 years of solitude

One person gave a list that included your suggested best read, and To kill a mockingbird (a touching, beautiful read) and 1984 (I have it, but kinda lost it....as I am always buying all those cheap novels from importers who bring in books, some of which would even have chewing gum stuck to them ...well, I bought 16 at a time, and somehow, 1984 slipped away...I have to look for it and read....if I dont find it, I am calling the police!!!!

The Alchemist is awesome, try find 1984 you'll be glad you did, and the brother karamazov just read it even if it's soft copy

The fact remains that be he (Jesus) white or black, it doesn't make him lesser than what he is and will always be THE SON OF God.

Now for clarification sake

1) Revelation 1:15 ESV

His feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace , and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

To start with, for those unfamiliar with the word or metal 'bronze', the colour of bronze is brown When bronze is heated at high temperatures in a furnace, it turns further darker brown.

2) Revelation 1:13-14 ESV

And in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.

Of all races, only the black man's hair when grown resembles wool. The hair of asiatic/european peoples are known to be long, flowy and wavy.

3) Isaiah 53:2 ESV

For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

4) Daniel 10:5-6 ESV

I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, with a belt of fine gold from Uphaz around his waist. His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.

In this verse, not only were the feet of Jesus ascribed to be bronze-like in colour but his entire legs and arms.

It's impossible to pick only 100 books out of the thousands of great novels written in the last century. I can only name three (or perhaps four) random ones that I have really really enjoyed reading in the last couple of years...

John Grisham's The Firm
Thomas Harris' Hannibal (and Silence of the Lambs)
Elechi Amadi's The Concubine

Yes. I would readily agree with you. Those books are exceptional, and very in depth in the way the authors described the world of their characters lived in. I would readily pick 'The Kite Runner' as the best of the lot. If you haven't read any of those, then the dog named Buhari is just better of than you.

The bolded got me laughing, and yes "The Kite runner" is an amazing book, THE BROTHER KARAMAZOV is also arguably the best philosophical book ever written.

1. Things fall apart... everyone has heard about this book but not everyone has read it. QUITE CAPTIVATING

2. Murder on the orient express

3. The kite runner... very emotional

4. Not a penny more, not a penny less.... an accurate revenge thriller, and extremely entertaining

5. The Godfather

6. A thousand Splendid Sun

7. Catch 22

8. One hundred years of solitude

9. The brothers Karamazov

10.Hitchhiker`s guide to the galaxy... the best for the last. if you`ve not read this you haven`t lived properly
