firstly, was your phone rooted before the incident, and can you boot you fone into recovery? if yes, connect it to your PC while in recovery, then run AIO flasher, in the "reboot menu", select to "fastboot" and click reboot. Let me know if that worked out.

TECNO B3 & D3 HAS FASTBOOT PROBLEM. SOMETIMES EVEN IF YOUR PHONE IS NOT BRICK, GETTING INTO FASTBOOT IS A HEADACHE. PLS BE PATIENT I WILL UPLOAD THE TOOL YOU WILL USE TO BRING BACK YOUR DEVICE. AS I SAID I HAVE EVERYTIN ON GROUND AND I WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE NEXT 4HRS.

sorry to hear about your D5, Dont own a D-series fone, else would have madr our job much easier. first of all, lets appleal to the thread posters for one of us to upload a romdump. If they are confirmed mediatek (MTK) devices
as the previous poster said then our problem is half solved.

i will soon upload the system.img, recovery.img and boot.img. is just that the server here is slow but i assure you in the next 6hrs all is up!!!!!

Tecno D5,D3,B3 has what is called MEDIATEK PROCESSOR thats why rooting such devices aint easy.

i have created a cmwrecovery for this phones and i will upload them soon. you need the cmw recovery to root this devices without it, no way for now bt dnt know in future. for more help on how to go about mail me: muammil2@gmail.com

Have you ever plugged in a USB drive or any external device with a hard drive and wondered why you cannot see it in My Computer?

More than likely the cause is that Windows renamed the drive to a letter that is already in use. This will happen if you have several card readers, thumb drives or external hard drives attached. It will also happen if you are on a network and have mapped drives.

To find the drive and then rename it, you'll want to right-click on My Computer and select Manage.

From the Computer Management screen, select Disk Management.

In this window you should see all of your connected physical drives, their format, if they are healthy, and the drive letter.

In this instance I am going to change the drive letter of my Lexar USB drive. Right-click on the drive in the list, and from the resulting menu select "Change Drive Letters and Paths…"

Click on Change so we can change the drive letter. You might notice that you can select Add, which would let you mount the drive into a folder if you wanted to. We don't want to, so just click Change.

Select a new drive letter from the drop down list, preferably the one that you usually use for this drive.

Click Yes on the confirmation screen and you are done

If you have auto play enabled, you will get the normal pop up dialog asking what you want to do.

I find it very annoying when I go home from work and plug my laptop into my external hard drive… The autoplay window always pops up and asks me what I want to do with the files, which may be fine the first time, but definitely isn't after a year of that.

To get to the configuration screen for this setting, go to Start Menu \ Run and type in:

gpedit.msc[/color]

You will see the Group Policy window. You should select Administrative Templates \ System in the tree view:



You will see an item in the right side pane called "[color=#990000]Turn off Autoplay[/b]"



Double click the item, and set the radio button to Enabled, and change the "Turn off Autoplay on[b]" to All Drives.



Now you should be safe from the autoplay monster.

Below are steps to Repair Yo Crashed O Hangin Vista Sidebar
If you install a lot of different Vista Gadgets you might have come across a situation where your Vista Sidebar no longer is working correctly, or possibly even crashing or (more frequently) just hanging. You can reset the sidebar back to the default settings with a very simple tweak that we'll explain here.

This tweak is as simple as backing up a file and then renaming it… and when the Sidebar starts back up again it will reset to the default settings.

Note: By resetting to the default settings, you'll have to add your gadgets back to the sidebar. Hardly a problem if your sidebar doesn't even work anymore.

Closing the Sidebar

You'll want to make sure that the sidebar process is completely closed before you do anything else… and just because you don't see the sidebar doesn't mean it's not running in the background.

First, right-click on the Sidebar icon in the system tray, and then choose Exit. (wallpaper found here)



You should receive a message asking if you really want to close, which you do.



Next you'll want to check Task Manager to make sure that there are no sidebar.exe processes running that shouldn't be. If there are, just right-click and use End Process on each of them.



Resetting the Sidebar to Defaults

Open up a windows explorer window and then paste the following into the location bar:

%localappdata%\microsoft\Windows Sidebar

This will open up the Sidebar gadgets folder, where you should see a file named Settings.ini.



You'll want to rename this file to something else, or at least make a backup of the file elsewhere. This file contains your current sidebar configuration.



Now once you re-launch Sidebar from the Start Menu, you'll notice that a new Settings.ini is created immediately.





If you are still having issues with a gadget, you can open up the Gadgets folder that you see above, and you'll see a list of all user-installed gadgets:



You can delete any of these folders if you want (always backup your files first).
