In the middle of his performance at the “Thank You Concert” in Ibadan, Reekado Banks made a braggadocios statement by claiming he is better than the nominees of the award that led to a face-off between Don Jazzy and Olamide. The likes of Lil Kesh, Kiss Daniel, Cynthia Morgan and Korede Bello were named as the nominees in the Next Rated category of the 2015 Headies Award, which Reekado Banks claimed in controversial circumstance.

Lil Kesh was particularly favored to claim the award and Reekado Banks seems to be referring to him when he said “the person wey you think say better pass me, I better pass him papa.” Reekado Banks urged the audience at the Ibadan concert to chant “Reekado Banks is way better” but he was met with a shocking reaction.

Following the physical fight and fracas that went down last night at the One Africa Music Festival in Dubai, between Davido’s camp and Wizkid’s, here’s an update of what really happened and how Tekno allegedly started the whole thing.

An eye witness who was reportedly present backstage at the event shed more lights on the below tweet by Davido and explained what actually happened.



According to him,

‘I was backstage last night in Dubai when Tekno extended his hands to shake Sunday Are (Wizkid’s manager) who is an elderly man, and Sunday Are punched Tekno’s phone saying he doesn’t have respect probably because he thinks he has done him a favour by allowing Wizkid jump on a song with him.

Tekno and his goons wanted to attack Sunday Are but Ubi Franklin calmed everything’

Narrating further he said,

‘Then Davido and his men came in and heard of what happened, that was where the tension started from adding to the fact that they were all fighting to perform before the given time for the hall which was 3am,

Wizkid was slapped, small god, Wizkid’s right hand man was the man attacked by Davido’s Lati in the video circulating online.

While Davido was performing, Davido’s fans outside started shouting Profanities at Wizkid, saying Frog Voice Dey kill show pass you, get Hit songs pass you. Wizkid and his people had to be protected out of the venue.

It was a night of African music as the One Africa Music Festival went down at the Madinat Jumeirah Al Sufough, Dubai. With performances from 2Baba, Tekno, Emma Nyra, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Flavour, Banky W, Vanessa Mdee, Victoria Kimani, and much more, it was quite a thrilling affair for lovers of African music.



There are reports from Dubai that Wizkid and Davido’s team clashed, after Wizkid reportedly punched one of Davido’s team members.

It was gathered that the fight was ignited over a supremacy fight between the two Nigerian artiste on who is to perform first at the event.

Another Source claim that Wizkid was punched in the face during the fight. Twitter user, @esineymar who shared the story, wrote

Information reaching me states that Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie was unable to perform at the just ended One Africa concert which took place in Dubai.

According to sources, When Sarkodie was just about hitting the stage, Davido’s guy attacked Black Nana by pushing him to the floor to allow Davido perform.

Things turned violent as people received slaps and blows like free Wi-Fi. There has been some police arrests.

The main fight was between two of Nigeria’s very own artistes, Wizkid and Davido. Davido expressed disappointment in the organizers allowing wizkid to perform before him. This obviously didn’t sit well with Wizkid and his people as it led to a big fight backstage.

Unfortunately, things got messy at the backstage which resulted in some mismanaged rendering Sarkodie not able to perform. Sarkodie and his crew were just caught up in the cross fire set between Wizkid and Davido. Someone even said wizkid attacked fight with a punch

Operation Ruwan Wuta II: Nigeria Air Force Finally Bombs Sambisa Forest With 5 Jets After Rains Of Fire

In a statement released by Director of Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, the Nigerian Air Force, said it has bombarded Boko Haram enclaves in Sambisa with air strikes from five aircrafts resulting in heavy causalities since the commencement of Operation Ruwan Wuta II.

According to NAF, within three days of the rain of fire on the insurgents in the Northeast, their structures have been destroyed, while survivors who were fleeing the target areas were neutralized with rockets and cannons.



The statement reads: “In continuation of Operation RUWAN WUTA II, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has continued to rain significant fire on Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) locations, with intensive day and night aerial bombardments.

“On 24 Oct 17, the second day of the Operation, the NAF conducted an air interdiction mission on the BHT-infested settlement of GHATA MUSA, located about 16km Northwest of MADAGALI.

“The location was observed to have significant BHT activities, indicative of its use as a hideout for the insurgents. The air interdiction was conducted by 5 aircraft namely 2 F-7Ni aircraft, armed with bombs and 3 Alpha Jet aircraft, armed with a combination of bombs, rockets and cannons.

“Two Alpha Jet aircraft and 2 F-Ni aircraft took turns to pound the location with bombs, destroying some structures and sending a few BHT survivors fleeing from the location.

“Thereafter, the third Alpha Jet Aircraft returned to strafe the location with rockets and cannons, neutralizing some fleeing insurgents in the process. “On Day 3 of the Operation, the NAF conducted another air interdiction mission on a BHT structure in PARISU, which is the Northeastern gateway into the Sambisa Forest.

“The target building in PARISU was confirmed to be a BHT hideout and subsequently earmarked for attack. Four NAF aircraft namely 2 x F-7Ni aircraft, armed with bombs and 2 x Alpha Jet aircraft, armed with bombs and rockets, conducted the air interdiction.

“One Alpha Jet aircraft and the 2 x F-7Ni aircraft took turns to attack the location with bombs, thereby destroying the target structure. “This was followed up with rockets and cannons’ attack of the target area, by the second Alpha Jet aircraft, after which no terrorist movement was further observed at the location.

“Operation RUWAN WUTA II, which was initiated by the NAF leadership, is part of efforts to further decimate the ability of the BHTs to freely operate and to give advantage to our surface forces.”
