Career13 Acts You Most Drop To Succeed In Life. by mulekanle(op): 6:22pm On May 23, 2017
We all have the same 24 hours in each day to create, produce results, live our best lives, make an impact and be present. But, we’re not equally disciplined to cut out time wasters that reduce our productivity. To give your productivity a boost, stop doing these 13 things—the biggest time wasters in our lives.

Jumping from task to task

The first step in being more productive is knowing what your priorities are. When you are clear on your priorities, you no longer feel compelled to jump from task to task. Rather, you can spend your time doing what is most important based upon what your priorities are.

Obsession with social media

It’s OK to shut down your social media channels for several hours each day. And, quite possibly, when you discipline yourself to not be tied to social media for every waking moment, you won’t miss it.

Checking email every 15 minutes

Identify two or three times a day when you will check your email account(s) and respond to messages. When you allow your email notification to distract you every time a new message comes in—spam and all—you are wasting valuable time.

Unorganized meetings

Eliminate as many meetings as you can. When you do schedule meetings, make sure there is a specific objective, agenda and action items when you leave so that your time is productive rather than wasteful.

Going down the rabbit hole of content

When online, it’s incredibly easy to get tied up with the latest articles, news and must-read content that’s hitting your inbox and popping at you. Instead of reading these items ad hoc whenever you run across them, have a file where you save them to read for later. Schedule time daily or weekly to get your read on during a dedicated segment in your schedule.

Saying “yes”

When you overbook, your productivity will falter. When you are in survival mode trying to tackle an overwhelming to-do list your high-priority items suffer. Say “no” to more which leaves room in your schedule to really focus on your high-priority tasks.

Surfing TV

We are inundated with options to watch on television from Amazon, Netflix, cable and more, but often instead of tuning in to the one or two programs we are really love, we spend valuable time trying to find “something to watch.” Just don’t do it! It’s wasting valuable moments in your life.

Clutter and acquiring stuff you don’t need

Whether it’s in our office or in our homes, many of us are drowning in stuff. Keep your desk and office organized, so that you can get your hands on what you need when you need it. Get rid of things you don’t need and reduce paper by scanning and filing things electronically.

Procrastinating

Commit to doing the hard things first. When we avoid the hard things and procrastinate, we are wasting time finding ways to avoid the task rather than just getting it done.

Staying tied to the computer

It might seem counterintuitive, but when you have a big to-do list, forcing yourself to just sit in front of your computer actually makes you less productive. Give your mind and body several breaks throughout the day—take a walk, get some fresh air. You will come back recharged and refreshed, ready to go.

Worrying

Focus on the things you can control and stop worrying about the things that you can’t. If you don’t have the power to change something, worrying about it is a huge time waster. Just let it go.

Perfectionism

Quit striving for perfection. Aim for completion. There is always room for improvement, but the extra effort and time you put into trying to get to perfect is wasted when “good enough” is ideal in pretty much any activity.

Being like everyone else

Since not having enough time is an issue almost everyone has, be different. If you live differently, you’ll have different results. Be the change you wish to see.

If you start by eliminating these 13 things from your life, you will most definitely have more time to focus on the things that are most important to you. What would you add to the list?

Christianity EtcRe: What Will Become Of Those Who Have Died Before The Birth Of Christ? by mulekanle: 12:22pm On Mar 05, 2017
You can correct my English. It's my first time of creating a topic.

As it was written in the bible that whosoever that do not believe in Jesus Christ won't be saved and will rot in hell. My question here is what will happen to those who never knew Jesus Christ?[/quote]READ THROUGH THESE SCRIPTURES, YOU WILL FIND THE ANSWER SIR.

MAT. 27:45-54.
45

KJV:Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46

KJV:And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47

KJV:Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48

KJV:And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49

KJV:The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50

KJV:Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51

KJV:And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52

KJV:And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53

KJV:And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54

KJV:Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

THOSE WHO DIED EARLIER BEFORE JESUS' BIRTH, WHO LIVED THERE LIVES FOR GOD RESSURECTED THE DAY CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED, AND APPEARED TO MANY AND WENT TO THE HOLY CITY. WHEN CHRIST DIED, HE WENT TO SET THE CAPTIVES IN THE GRAVE FREE.

I can't imagine prices of foodstuffs and accommodation here in Rivers State..... and when I was coming then, friends were like oil money..... seriously it is an irony.. what about your states and PPA?
NYSCLetter To The Presidency By An Aggrieved Corper by mulekanle(op): 6:36pm On Jan 28, 2017
Kalu Excel AN OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENCY, THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF NYSC AND THE CONCERNED NYSC OFFICIALS From an aggrieved Corp Member serving in Oyo State N19, 800: A Salary, An Allowance or A Peanut. I picked up my writing materials from a bitter heart based on the suffering of the Nigerian Corp Members serving their fatherland with a monthly pay of N19, 800. Let me start from the camping exercise where it all started. An average Prospective Corp Member spent nothing less than N30, 000 to prepare for the camping exercise. Like that was not enough, we meet the extortion of our lives in the camp. We found out that the sockets in the lodges were disconnected from power supply and it was prohibited to charge our phones using any of the available sockets so that we can pay at the camp market. We went to the camp kitchen for food, and found a meal that cannot satisfy a year old baby. We went to the camp market, food and other items were so costly that we began to wonder whether we are still in Nigeria or one sort of desert in Afghanistan. An average expenditure in the camp is about N40, 000 not forgetting the N3, 000 plus we paid during registration. We were given N2, 500 in the camp as if it was enough to cover our transport expenses. Now the real game began as soon as we were given our posting letters. We paid for the vehicles provided by the LGA’s to convey us to the LGA Secretariat. Thanks to the religious organizations that saved us from another lodging expenses. On getting to our Place of Primary Assignments (PPA’s), for those who were not rejected, we were welcomed with a very interested slogan, “NO PAY, NO ACCOMMODATION”. Not considering that the state does not pay as well. To the best of my knowledge, only about 10% of the 36 states including the FCT pays Corp Members. For those posted to cities, towns, rural areas and remote villages spend from N100,000 - N200,000, N70,000 – N80,000, N30,000 - N65,000 and N10,000 – N20,000 respectively on accommodation not including household items. Some of the employers will give us camp foam (mattress). I don’t know whether they expect us to spread it under the nearest tree and make a hut. Yes, some of the employers provide accommodation but it can only be about 5% of them. I observe that no supervision is carried out when private establishments request for Corp Members, because I have seen Corp Members sent to mushroom firms that cannot even pay their direct employees let alone caring for a Corp Member. Corp Members are being treated unjustly in their PPA’s and when we complain, we are being threatened with a query by the employer or extension of service by our coordinators. In all these expenses, we are expected to survive with N19,800. We are really suffering, we cannot continue to be quite and die serving a country that does not care for our well-being. All we keep on hearing is “think of what you can do for your country and not what your country can do for you” and we forget that when you visit home on three consecutive occasions without biscuits for the children, then count yourself as an unwanted visitor. Any Corp Member that do not have “GARRI” in the cupboard is seriously joking, because sometimes it will become doctor’s prescription which you have to drink three times a day for survival. We are also expected to report at our PPA’s four times a week and to embark on Community Development Service (CDS) once every week on an empty stomach. There are so many things to talk about but just calculate the expenses I just outlined at an average rate, then you will discover that N19,800 for 12 months is not appreciable. Our predecessors complained when things are not as bad as it is now, so imagine what we are going through. Days has gone when Corp Members were respected and given most things free of charge. Nowadays, we do not identify ourselves as Corp Members in the marketplace or bus stops. Just make a mistake and go to the market with your face cap, you will buy a pepper of N50 at the rate of N200 all in the name of N19, 800 and we are also expected to save for the future. I could love to continue but for the sake of my readers, let me drop my pen. All the constituted authorities should please do something towards the increment of the monthly peanut. Because if you call it “A Salary”, you are wrong. If you call it “An Allowance”, you are very wrong. My regards. Please share on all social media sites until it gets to those in authority.
