@tenic09 hubby and I haven't even been to Benin republic talkless of out of the country and we were granted our Visas. My point, it doesn't matter if u've travelled far and wide. Just get ur documents ready, proof dat u're capable of paying ur bills and all dat. I'm sure ur hubby is the one sponsoring, den u can go along with his bank statement of course, with mouth watering figures wink .

Since u stil have ur maiden name on your old passport and it's gonna expire next year Feb, my advice, apply for a new passport that will bear ur hubby's name 'Abuja things'. You can get it done this month then you can proceed with your visa application. My old ppt will expire 2016, buh because I wanted my hubby's name on my new passport, I applied for another and I got it that same month. (had to travel down to Abuja).

@tenic09 I see u've really read a lot on this thread. Well, paying hospital bills, or accommodation bill or whatsoever doesn't guarantee ur Visa approval. Its like u're pushing the VO to a tight corner and trust me dat kain tin fit vex dem. When u're not sure of getting d visa, y go ahead to pay bills? Are you applying alone or with hubby? Pls stil go ahead to read d rest of the pages or click @PhEma's post 2 see her 'burden of proof'. That should guide you alot.

Cheers!

oawele: To God be the glory, my wife delivered our set of twin at MIHS last week. I was present throughout the whole birth process and i would say they were welcoming, nice and professional.

My wife had a VBAC which went very well and from my experience, the nurses were nice and wonderful, most expeccially the nurse that was in charge of my wife during labour.

In all i like their services and i wuld use them again if i had to........but in the mean time family planning mode activated wink

Thank you all ......

A big CONGRATULATIONS to you. May God bless and keep your Little ones and their Momma.

IyawoToBe: Hello all. For those who applied and was granted visa as a family, do we have to fill the proxy form to collect your passport? We were given just one collection form, so I want to know if I am expected to sign the proxy form since my hubby was the primary applicant.

Just that single form is Okay since u applied as a family. No need to fill the proxy form. But I guess you have to go with your husband on the day of collection. I went with my husband and had to sign somewhere like that.

T4Tough: @brooklyn 20 and others what about me that applied alone would you guys also suggest i apply with My spouse and probably Book for a hotel that might give me a better chance? I believe for her not to request for any document she has already made up her mind from the onset cos My monthly income is substancial and i had a bank statement of 3x of My budget. I guess its one of those things not every one would ve a success story the First time out.

@T4Tough, @Brooklyn20...both of you should reapply again, even with your spouses. In all, pray 4 God's Favour and I pray u won't meet with that lady again.

Oballer: Dear NL Moms,

Congratulations on all safe deliveries and advance congrats to all expectant moms.

God bless you all for the useful resource you post on this thread...so so helpful
We are considering using OAKBEND medical center and Dr. Fagbohun, would appreciate first hand info from moms who have used them recently. Also:
1) recommendation on closest, safe & affordable accommodation (for 2 adults & 1 toddler- 10weeks stay)
2) Experience/ advise on feeding & transportation
3) any useful recommendation to guide our travel plans scheduled for Mid October- late December.

Merci beaucoup!

U can try sunsuites of sugarland, stafford. I think it's not too far from Richmond (Google map).
Other Mama's using Oakbend medical centre should try help out.
