I dont understand why it is hard o. My son has been rejected twice. What is not doing right. I feel he is not confident and bold. He is someone that talks a lot but i think he allows fear overtake him. I need advice. We are trying again, what is he not doing right?

Please, I need advice. We deferred my son's admission to August (Fall) 2025 since we could not meet up with January resumption (appointment and Avits wahala). We have gotten a date for February 27, 2025.
My issue is that his international passport is expiring by October 2025; should we renew his passport? He would be in school for 4 years. Will the Visa be issued on this passport that is expiring soon?

We got June 2025. This whole process is tiring. @everyone Please is it possible to still buy date with this new system. I was arguing with someone about it. I want to be sure, I am not being unnecessarily stubborn

Were you able to select the date ? i got August dates and once i selct the dates, it is not loading.

We saw June, 2025 and my son is to resume January. Still waiting for approval for expidited action.

I used that of Lagos. We initially used the link for Abuja, mistakenly and got no response. After completing the google form. An information came up on the subject and all the information they want us to include in the mail which we did. Like DS-160, Passport no., DOB, full name, which we did.

That of my son got approved today too. About five hours after we sent the mail this morning. I have been trying to trace the person that gave that advice to say thank you. Awaiting approval for Expedited action.

Please, do you have idea if dates are still available in Abuja. Or is it doing Preapproval request for Abuja too. People that picked Abuja how soon, did you get date. I need help. I want to I just created another profile to request for Abuja. I want to be sure before going ahead. I don't want to waste another visa fee. Please help.

Yikes, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't think you would be moving past that stage. I hope you do, though please let us know if you do. A couple of us had the same problem and got a rejection email after waiting for about a month without explanation (we were all for Lagos). Some people had to pay another MRV and select Abuja. Good luck!

Also, please answer if you paid online on the AVIT portal with a card.

Wow. Thank God we have not submitted. Let me edit. Though we have submitted one for Lagos before since we are not getting any response and it is still on preapproval request for a long time now, and as advised here, we want to fill another one under Abuja and apply for interview in Abuja. Is this advisable?

From experience..it’s better you keep that information of your husband’s cousin to yourself and not even mention it during interview. The school details including the name of the DSO on the I-20 should be what you will put in the US contact person

I am filling the DS-160m form for my son who is going to study in the US. Which address should I enter fro the question "Where will you stay in the US" the school address or the address of my husband's cousin who are residents in the US. He would be staying there when he is on holidays.
