Business / Paxful Has Refused To Release My 100k USDC Stucked In Their Wallet by munooo(m): 4:51am On Aug 11, 2023
I need to post this here to alert Nigerians of the cruel nature of Paxful as a company. This unfortunate incident happened over a year a go when I tried sending USDC from my metamask wallet to another wallet via the polygon network but mistakenly sent it to my Paxful wallet. The moment I realised the mistake, I reached out to paxful support and they responded with hopes that they will try to recover the funds.

Paxful trades USDC and allow deposits via Ethereum main network. They do not support polygon as of now. But because they own the private key to my wallet, so they can go a further lenght to access the fund on a different network. This is very possible.

But for over 1 year, paxful has only given excuses and promises of recovery but did nothing. I have heard similar case with platforms like binance and Okex and they did the extra to resolve it. They helped. But what I have noticed is that Paxful is a very cruel platform towards Nigerians. I have heard of them banning account and holding on to peoples fund with explanation. I never researched the platform until this happened.

Why are Nigerians still the highest traders on paxful? A platform that clearly have not regards for Nigerians. I believe they can help, but has refused to. Any idea how I can legally demand them to release the funds?

My wife is a Rwandan.. She left Nigeria few days ago.. And wen we landed at Abuja and took a tour round Abuja city.. Lo and behold she said all her life in Rwanda she has no seen such good big and wide road.. She said she see these roads only in television... No where in Rwanda have 5 lanes... Abuja his 5 lanes... Kigali is beautiful because of cleanliness and planting of trees... If its infrastructure... Its clear that Abuja has world class infrastructure... The only difference is that Nigeria is just too dirty and lack maintenance culture..... Thats all

When you say Nigeria has world class infrastructure I am lost. I mean mention the so called infrastructure. I live in Abuja and honestly beside some good roads and fine houses, abuja is just like any other backward Nigeria city. Rwanda is not just about the cleanliness but the system. They have a system that works. Please compare our Health care system, Education or even Electrical Power to Rwanda . Nigeria is not working. The system is broken. We all keep deceiving ourselves and reason why our crooks politicians keep destroying the country because we all allow it.

If you never lived abroad before, you will think Abuja is something.

Our system is broken. Nigeria is not working. We all should wake up. Accepting the joke we call a country is insanity.

And always remember Rwanda has little and has done so much with the little they have.

And i have lived there and worked with locals, so you check you and i who stood a better chance of knowing Rwanda and her rulers better? Ever wondered why i keep using the word ''ruler'' instead of ''leader''? Oga leave that thing, Kagame isn't a leader but a tyrant ruler. No one criticises him because you will die if you do, so every one live in fear of him and his government, you dare not talk openly about his government either constructively or condemnably because the next person close to you could be his spy. So every body there do exactly what you are doing here now to be on the safe side, that's sing Kagame's praise, i did the same too when i was there. I even did worst, because my own i was cursing Nigeria, her rulers and was openly praying that God should transfer the natural resources He gave to Nigeria to Rwanda, i made sure people heard me say this prayer every day so that i will not be spied on or framed. Most of the biggest hotels and investments in Kigali are owned by their politicians (which is good any way, at least they steal and invest parts of loots in their country, unlike Nigerians rouges cum politicians who steals and invest it in other countries) and they drives exotic cars just like others in other African countries. The only reason their own corruption is not well announced is because Rwanda had nothing, they only depend hugely on aids, so like i told you before, their own politicians steals codedly, so once again, leave that thing, oga. I still love Kigali though.

What exactly is your point though? Because from all you said, you also did agree Rwanda is doing way better than Nigeria. Your problem is with Kagame? But this is the same Kagame that is pioneering the Rwanda progress. If the RULERSHIP thing is working for them, why change it?

Really? Corruption among the political class is non existence? You have only been in that country for just 3days as you said and you already knows this much? Who is feeding you with all that tells? Because i don't think 3days is any where close to enough time to know these much about a country you have never been to before. Kigali is very great and Kagame is trying but please leave that corruption is almost none existence crap please. Rwandan rulers or politicians are as corrupt as most African countries rulers, only that they steals codedly.

Before coming here I have done my own research. I said corruption is almost nonexistent and that would mean very very low. When a country’s elites push corruption that low, the system is barely affected by it. There is still corruption even in America, but national interest will always come first.

Their politicians here aren’t wealthy. They do not have Oil or major natural resources but yet see what they have done with the little they have.

Go to other African countries and within 24 hours you will feel and chew corruption. E.g Nigeria, Kenya,Uganda, Ghana even South Africa

Care to share your experience at their airport?, and apart from leadership, I think the type of government matters also. Kagame is more like a mini dictator

The airport experience was smooth. I was told is visa on arrival, but it is actually VISA FREE for Nigerian passport holders. You get stamped in and you have 30 days to stay in the country.

The immigration lady asked why I was here, where I was going to stay and how long. They act professional. If this country continue like this, they will soon become the singapore of Africa.

Paul Kigame is a wise leader. Because of where they are coming from, the country needs no political distractions. Most of the so called political opponents are just power hungry politicians and might end up destroying the country. I see no reason why there is a need to change a leader if he is leading the country in the right direction. The man is a great leader. And if he needs to silent distractors and selfish political miscreants to save his country from another civil war, then so be it.

He has both, the compassionate heart to do what is right and the toughness to lead. Rwandans actually respect and love this man.

Paul Kagame is doing a fantastic job. Corruption among the political class is almost nonexistent. Most of the politicians live a normal live. Rwanda's development should be studied in most African universities. African's problem starts and ends on Leadership. Rwanda proves it.

Currently I am in Rwanda. This country has a european ambience. The police seems professional and everyone seems to obey the rule of law. The system works here. Rwanda does not have that usual African vibe of corruption and impunity. The systems works here.

After my 3 days quarantine, I will visit some exotic places and share the pictures here. This place has a great future.
