biafranqueen: My family owned one of the most famous bread factories in the east during the 60's and 70's before I was born and my dear I am sorry to tell you that you are kidding yourself into believing you can stay in the UK and do business back home. It is nearly impossible because only the owner knows where the shoe pinches. Most family members think if you live abroad money is growing on trees and they will never give you a true account. Anyway even in a so called developed company it is nearly impossible to have business succeed without being 100% involved you are fooling yourself! Call it a loss unless you can go back to Nigeria and oversee things for yourself. The above is the best advice you would receive on this matter. Move back home and work it. |
Congratulations!!! SImply beautiful but we didn't hear about it in Turku |
This is actually a very serious issue. I think the very minute things we refuse to into consideration also make up what we call Nigerian. The reason Nigeria is where it is today is simply because there's no Nigerian living within it |

tunene:Seems you're not conversant with what's going on in Nigeria. Anyways, the minimum wage in each of the 36 states of the federation is 18000 Nigerian Naira but Aregbesola has offered to pay 19'000 NN Source: AIT |
Beaf:Apparently, you're what your name suggests. You call Aregbesola the worst thing to have hit Nigeria's political scene what about your president, Mr. GEJ. Do you know how many died yesterday in Jos. This has been going on for a long time now yet he's yet to take simple action. Would you rather have Oyinlola continue embezzling Osun state's money. Osun civil servants are the highest paid in Nigeria at the moment yet he's incompetent. He provided 20,000 jobs under 100 days in office yet he's lazy. Get your facts right and stop saying nonsense. |
One major difference between studying abroad and in Nigeria is simply facility. For instance, by the time you graduate in Information Technology at the university where I studied in Europe, you would have done almost everything CCNA, CCNP both Cisco and Microsoft Technologies. Which Nigerian university can boast of such facility. On one of my holidays to Nigeria, I met a friend who is Cisco Certified and we got into a discussion about Cisco Equipments, he said despite my education abroad he's not sure if I'm able to handle a router. I wish he knew what the Cisco Network Academy in my Alma Mata has in terms of Cisco equipments and how many of such devices I work with on a daily basis. The Problem Based Learning alone would have taught you a whole lot. But then, like most guys here have rightly stated, just about anyone can achieve that level of standard, you just need to begin with self-development. A lot of our graduate in Nigeria have no idea what that means. They would rather pursue tricks of the trade which would take them no where. It's gotten nothing to do with money either as it's only a mean to an end. Let's get it right |
