@muzybow and @coloured, God bless you beyond your expectations. I have corrected it.

Pls when filling the ds form, there are two places I ticked I don't know such as status(may he's a citizen, legal immigrant etc) and name of organisation brother works. Pls op this won't affect our chances of getting the visa approved. Because I felt it should since it isn't compulsory on the page.
Are you visiting your brotherhuh If you are visiting your brother, i think you should know his status and you are suppose to state it on the form because VO might ask you about it during your interview.

Regarding the Name of Organisation stated in the form, its not meant for your your brother! so there's nothing wrong as you ticked Do Not Know! below Contact Help in bold will solve your worries:

Help: Contact

Your U.S. Point of Contact can be any individual in the U.S. who knows you and can verify, if necessary, your identity. If you do not personally know anyone in the U.S., you may enter the name of the store, company, or organization you plan to visit during your trip.

Cheers!

Thanks for this response, it seems to have taken care of my worry but let me still state it here.
My wife applied to go for a conference but when it was not convenient for her, she cancelled the interview and did another application for visit and she was able to use the same visa fee receipt for the old application to book for interview for this new application.
Do you think she may have issue during the interview?
No! She wont have any issues whatsoever during the interview. People cancel and Reschedule which is Normal!

Cheers!

I made mistake while filling my Ds 160 confirmation no, I inserted d first confirmation letter that was generated, but later discovered dt while printing out, it was anoda confirmation number dat was on top. My son's own is correct but mine is wrong, I've gone to d profile page to correct it but its saying error. Pls what should I do. I wish to submit tomoro cos earliest apptment date is august 10. Pls help and
No 2. Pl while feeling, I didn't see any page where one is meant to insert every day activities that one would do as a tourist and there is no page that that asked of my husband's income, money for trip, flight fees etc. Pls I hope I haven't done rubbish. Urgent help please
There is no page for everyday activities as a tourist on the form likewise the income of the sponsor respectively... So you haven't fill in Rubbish *smiles*

Since you havent book the appointment yet, there's no cause for alarm, just log in to the scheduling page and click New Application / Schedule Appointment instead of you clicking Update Profile which is obviously give you the glitch.. After clicking the New Application / Schedule Appointment it will take you to step one for you to choose the visa type, then step two to select your appointment location, then step three and four to select your visa category, and then step five for you to enter all your personal details, so in the page you can change the previous DS-160 with the New DS-160, then proceed to the next step which will take you to your Son details, since his own details are correct just continue to the next step till you will be asked for receipt No for you to book your appointment!

Cheers!

Is it possible to travel to the US and return after 2 weeks but its not in record that you actually traveled and returned after 2 weeks in the US the reason why am saying this is on my way back there was no stamp out of the US other than the stamp that was stamped on my passport at the airport in Nigeria the day i returned.

Hello people. Does anyone know how I can correct a mistake on my form after submission. I made a mistake on my mother in-laws form. I stated 1965 instead of 1963. Her interview is in 2 weeks.

In your situation if you call their contact number, they might be
able to change the old DS-160 barcode to the new DS-160 barcode
which you have filled with the corrected details, meanwhile on the
other hand you might be asked to pay a new visa fee which of
course you would have to schedule the appointment for a later
date!

The best advice I can give you for you to avoid paying a new fee is,
tell your mother in-law not to go for the interview, so she will be
considered "No-Show" applicants. However her Visa Fee Receipt
would be deactivated and will be reactivated back respectively
afer two working days of her scheduled appointment!

So therefore you can fill another DS-160 for your mother in-law
but this time make sure no mistake is made, upon competing the
form log in to the scheduling page update her profile with the new
DS-160 barcode and then schedule a new date for her with that
same Visa fee receipt no!

Simple as that!

I hope my explanation is helpful!

Cheers!

TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by muzybow: 2:25pm On Jun 25, 2015
I think the VO might have denied you based on two reasons:

1. It might be because you don't have traveling experience!

2. It might be the way you answered your first question.
-the VO asked you "Where are you going to in the USA" and not "what you going to do in the US"?
your answer should have been "I am going to Orlando Florida" and not "i am going for the annual TMS conference in Orlando Florida USA" which you answered with!

Next time answer only what you are asked!

Better Luck next time.
Cheers!!!

This is sequel to the question above I directed to Chloe7, Guinuvere and Co. I thought it wise to share my transcript so that you guys would know how best to answer my question.
I was denied in Feb 2015 by a wicked black american lady in the 2nd cubicle in the US Embassy in Abuja without checking any of the documents that i went with.
Here is the refusal transcript.

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning

VO: Where are you going to in the USA?
Me: i am going for the annual TMS conference in Orlando Florida USA.

VO: Where do you work?
me: i work with XYZ company, a mining company.

VO: What do you do for this XYZ company?
Me:I am a supervisor/statistician

VO: Are you married
Me: Yes, I am married with a lovely daughter

VO : Tell me the procedure in mining as the supervisor.
Me: i explained (though i fidgeted and blabbed , but i still said something)

VO: Have you ever traveled out of the country?
Me: No, i have never had any reason to travel, all the conferences i attend previously were all in Nigeria
( i think i goofed here because i should have told them i have traveled to Malaysia since they won't ask to see the visa , because i had a Malaysian visa in 2007 on my old passport that i didn't use which unfortunately i didn't go with)

VO: Sorry we cant issue you visa , not at this time but you can reapply when you might have known our PROCEDURES.
Me: Ok and****With mouth ajar***** walk away sad and frustrated.

Please house, where did i get it wrong?
What is their 'PROCEDURES'?
