Politics › Re: INEC, E-transmission Of Election Results Is Not Rocket Science!! by Mynd44(mod): 4:36am On Feb 08 |
Slimani: So, INEC, what is the big deal about imputing results on a device and transmitting it to the public via a dedicated server?
After elections are concluded in a polling unit, the presiding officer simply inputs the digits from the already filled and signed result sheet in front of everyone, and then proceeds to upload a snapshot of the result sheet itself so that the result data imputed can match the figures on the snapshot of the signed result sheet.
This shouldn't be hard to implement. This is not rocket science!! See why it is important to study things properly? This system you have suggested exists and INEC used it in the last election. This system was designed so that after you upload the picture, they serve as backup and should there be any argument during collection, they can refer to it as evidence. This was used in 2023. The. E-transmission people are demanding for is that they input the results online as text and allow the system do the calculation in real time as this will greatly reduce the time needed to collate |

givedemwotowoto: At the end of the day, Yusuf will struggle like Gandollar but he’ll win reelection. Kwankwaso will get the same number of votes in 2023 as VP or Presidential candidate. Tilumbu gets the same votes or less Knao votes are not about the votes Kwankwaso gets. It is the votes the main opposition doesn't get. Kwankwaso Got 997k votes Tinubu got 517k Atiku got 131k Only Tinubu and Atiku were competing to win and it is clear with a 380k difference, Kano did well and the APC were happy with the number. Come 2027, no one knows Kwankwaso's move yet. Is he going to contest for presidency under NNPP or decamp to either PDP or Labor. If he contests again, it will be another major blow to Atiku and Obi as he will be splitting their votes and causing then headaches like 2023. But if he support wither candidates, can he deliver such numbers when he isn't on the ballot? Another question is if Obi emerges the candidate of ADC will he use Kwankwaso as VP and leave the NE open to easy picking for APC? |

I don't see the problem here. I support the view of deporting illegal immigrants. I don't see why you can go to another country through the back door and be expected to be treated with kid gloves. People who travel to other places illegally should be deported.
The whole matter of being "immigrant friendly" should be limited to legal immigrants only.
On the flip side, these raids are sometimes excessive and need to be done right to avoid unnecessary violence |
