Indeed, the health of the Nigerian banking system remains strong, all banks in Nigeria are safe and depositors have no cause to fear over their deposits” it emphasized. “While it will be recalled that Skye Bank had corporate governance challenges, the CBN has since taken proactive steps to resolve the issues identified. Indeed, the CBN is satisfied with the efforts of the new Management to reposition Skye Bank for effective service delivery” the statement noted. They are to pay their respective charges and register their courses for the new academic session.

Note that they are to then visit their course advisers for validation of registered courses.

Charge for late payment / registration will be activated for the 2016/2017 session on the morning of Monday November 7th 2016. This is 4 weeks after resumption.

Payment of the Acceptance Fees is by the UNIOSUN WebPAY platform through the use of Interswitch enabled Debit/ATM cards (Verve, Visa and Master cards).

The deadline for the payment of Acceptance Fees is October 24, 2016.

The University of Jos hereby invites candidates to participate in the online Direct Entry Pre-Admission Screening exercise for the 2016/2017 Academic Session. The registration will commence on Monday, 10th October, 2016 to Tuesday, 18th October, 2016.

A. Eligibility
DE Candidates.

i. Candidates must have met the minimum Direct Entry admission requirements specified in the JAMB Brochure

ii. Candidates must have chosen the University of Jos as first choice.

B. General Instructions:
i. The Direct Entry screening exercise will commence from Monday, 10th October, 2016 to Tuesday, 18th October, 2016 online and THERE WILL BE NO NEED FOR A PHYSICAL APPEARANCE OF CANDIDATES.

ii. Candidates’ results will be screened according to the entry requirements of the respective programmes that they have chosen.

iii. The results of Pre-Admission screening will be available on the University of Jos website:mis.unijos.edu.ng/screening

C. Specific Instructions:

i. Each candidate shall pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N2, 500.00) only (excluding Bank charges) for the screening.

ii. Payment shall be made through Remita collection platform at any Commercial Bank operating in Nigeria as follows:

a. Bank Branch:

• Visit any Bank Branch operating in Nigeria

• Present your payment to the Teller (over-the-counter) and say you want to pay University of Jos Pre-Admission Screening Fee via the Remita platform.

b. Remita Collection Platform:

• Access the collection platform via www.remita.net

• Click “Pay Federal Government Agency”

• Enter “UniJos Pre-Admission Screening” as payment details

• Select any preferred electronic payment channels (ATM cards, internet Banking, mobile wallet, POS etc.) to complete your payment.

v. Click the ‘submit’ button to save your details on the University Portal

vi. Print Pre-Admission screening confirmation slip, which should include date of your screening and keep as evidence of your pre-admission registration

The management of University of Ibadan has released the scores of candidates who participated in the 2016 admission screening exercise.

Candidates can access their scores by logging in to the Admission portal with your Jamb Registration number.

The SCORING SYSTEM used to determine candidates' score is stated below;

1. WAEC/NECO: A1(6), B2(5), B3(4), C4(3), C5(2), C6(1).

For the five relevant subjects the scores are added together to get X.

Score = (X/30) x 50 = O’level points (50)

2. JAMB/UTME: Jamb scores / 8 = Jamb points (50)

Add O’ level + Jamb points = Weighted Scores (100)

3. For 2 sittings

The first examination based on date is taken as the template for all candidates with two sittings. The deficiency from this template is picked from the second sitting but the points from the second sitting are divided by 2.

Post-graduate Diploma in Disability Studies
Post-graduate Diploma in Communication Therapy


PROGRAMME OBJECTIVE
The programme is aimed at availing graduates the opportunities to develop a strong interdisciplinary foundation in social, legal and political concept of disability and communication disorders. It is also a vital tool in providing services in learning opportunities for agencies, service providers, Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations. The programme is aimed at maximizing the potential abilities in special education and to build up the manpower capacity in training personnel with basic academic requirements in Education in Nigeria and beyond.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission into the programme is open to first degree holders in any discipline. No Aptitude Test or Interview is required.

MODE OF STUDY AND PROGRAMME DURATION

The Programme is Full Time and for a duration of 12 calendar months. During the period, the students shall be exposed to practical Case History on children with disabilities and communication disorder as field work.

AWARD OF DEGREE

Successful students at the end of the programme shall be awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in their respective area of specialization.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Application Forms can be DOWNLOADED HERE or obtained from the Centre’s Office (International Students’ Building, University Park, University of Port Harcourt) on presentation of a non-refundable application fee of N20,000 (twenty thousand naira) only, in certified bank draft payable to the Centre for Children with Developmental and Communication Disorder (CCDCD). Payment can also be made directly into the Centre’s Account Number (5210031375), Fidelity Bank Nigeria Plc, UniPort Branch or U&C Microfinance Bank, UniPort Branch with Account Number (0152831058), University of Port Harcourt, Choba, Rivers State. Completed Application Form must be returned to the Director, Centre for Children with Developmental and Communication Disorder (CCDCD) on or before Friday, 9TH DCEMBER, 2016
