moremi2008: Being a 4th wife has it advantages; your kids have a legitmate father and you get a distracted husband that won't pay too much attention to your side-runs and won't try to slow down your career. Might be a smart move after all.

Well some of us know that RIM died a long time ago prior to the release of high-end android super smartphones that have been flooding the market. Apple has also been very
successful in the snatching of RIM customers around the
world. The iOS and AndroidOS successfully beat
BlackBerryOS hands down! The Apps, user interface, processor, camera and other super features offered by
Google’s very own Android phones and Apple’s iphone have definitely giving RIM a run for its money.
When the BlackBerry Bold 9900 was released, some thought
it was going to be a ‘great’ device. Unfortunately, despite the
good processor and display, the device was quite
disappointing with its lagging and hanging issues. Personally, I believe it is just a regular phone in a sleek body.
They came up with Bold 9790 which has just a little
difference from 9900.
And then they came up with BlackBerry Porsche which was
initially sold at about 400,000 Naira. Unfortunately, there isnothing special about this December 2011 device. It has the now regular 3G network, 640 x 480 pixels, a 2.8 inch screen, just 8GB of internal memory with 768MB of RAM. Its camera is just average, 5MP with no secondary camera! However, it has an impressive 1.2GHz processor and Snapdragon chipset…too bad these features aren’t anywhere worth the heavy price tag. And trust us, Nigerians have rushed to buy this device without even knowing the good features and downsides.
We need to know what we’re paying for; design, features or
prestige? For me, features should be the number one
criteria. RIM needs to come up with better devices and not
regular phones in refined cases!
All in all, RIM has done a good job with its BlackBerry
Messenger with a popularity that no other device’s instant
messaging feature has been able to conquer!

It's almost weird seeing people go on dates these days.
By that I don't mean the regular Palms, Ikeja City mall
and E-centre outings with our friends. I mean real
romantic time being spent with someone who is
attracted to you or vice versa.
First dates give long lasting impressions about the
people involved and trust me, you really don't wunna
mess that up! Well, I'm talking on behalf of the
ladies!
Perfect dates are not just about opening the car door or
pulling a seat out for her! Guys, most especially because the feeling isn't always mutual, I hope you take these few tips seriously if/when you plan to have a splendid first date with that special.lady that makes you go gaga! *wink*

1) Give enough notice: as you may know, we ladies like shakara, so a guy calling me up for a date few hours before is just bare disrespectful! It's more like booking an appointment an hour before the time of an event. Be official enough to give her enough notice...could be few days before, just to make sure she's available.

2) Let her pick the venue: Ladies usually have a particular restaurant they think serves awesome chinese, or a hang-out they've been willing to visit. But just in case you wunna make the choice, note that we really hate being inconvenient. You don't wuna take her too far away from her comfort zone. Although, some ladies love to explore, I'll advise you to be on the safer side and make her comfortable enough where she wants to be.

3) Pick her up: When a lady gets back from work/school/wherever on a Friday evening to prepare for a date, you don't wuna take her through the stress of driving over to the venue of the date she's probably not even so interested in. What happens if she's immobile? She gets a cab? A bus? Or what..okada? *holds laugh*. Just pick her up!!

4) Don't be late: Some ladies don't really care if you stand them up as long as you have a good reason...BUT...the majority who do, do not take it lightly at all no matter your reason! Therefore, PICK HER UP on time and if you've both planned to meet up, be there first. It's rude
to keep a lady waiting!!

5) Appearance: You don't have to look over the top or too casual, u can stay in between. Don't look too exuberant, it may put her off (depending on the kinda person she is). Don't be too flashy, it could be really disgusting! Just look presentable enough!

6) Confidence: Be confident but try NOT to piss her off! Some guys could get really cocky when tryna show confidence. Over-confidence can and will put any lady off, so try to have you game on and still be cool at the same time! #SWEG

7) Be Gentle: Try to be gentle with every step and move you take and make! Gra-gra will only kill you. Don't rush her or drive rough. Remember she's a 'queen' and wouldn't want to be rough-handled, especially not on a first date!

Pay: Be ready to pay for her meal and stuff! She might suggest to pay but don't listen unless she insists! Be prepared enough! You don't wuna seem incapable!

9) Engage her: Talk to her over the meal. The 'don't talk while eating' thingy can like to wait. Just don't talk with food in your mouth though! You definitely can't engage in discussions at the cinemas so that shouldn't be an option for either of you! Talk about her and yourself equally and crack her up well well!!

10) Be modest: Guys, pls, in ordering your meal, be modest! In talking about your achievements, be modest! In letting her know you're attracted to her, be modest!! BE MODEST!

11) Compliment her: Guys we're tired of the 'you have beautiful eyes' and 'I love your smile' remarks! Try some 'Oh! You have dimples' and 'your hair looks great' something off the regular! She spent so much time dressing up and preparing so give her compliments with your
eyes! Do NOT stare at her outfit! You don't wuna look like you're only trying to get laid! Eye contact can be really awesome!

12) Just a hug: When you're saying goodbye, do NOT try to kiss her just after a first date! What message are you trying to pass across? She might have agreed to go on a date cos she thought you were cute and nothing more! A hug will do! But if the date was awesome, I guess a nigga deserves some sugar! *wink* BUT let her give you the green light first, if she does, identify it and make the move!

13) Stepping in: Do not offer to step in!! Walking her to her front door is good enough...don't invite yourself in! If she does, she probably wants you around a little longer or needs to be
cuddled! *wink* If she does, DON'T DULL, I repeat, DON'T DULL!!![color=#990000][/color]

Was quite jobless one faithful day and decided to read , read amd read ( usually not my thang ) . Anyways I came across a particular story abt an incident that took place
in the north! It ’s hilarious and so I thought to share it with you guys! : d. Here it goes :
“ A farmer, Muhammad Baban - Iro of Rigasa Area in Kaduna on Thursday appeared before a Kaduna Sharia Court for refusing to refund N 32 ,000 being the bride price and other expenses allegedly paid on his daughter . The demand was made by the suitor following the discovery that she had tested positive to HIV. One Ibrahim Bala of the same area had gone to the court to complain against Baban - Iro for allegedly collecting the money as bride price and other expenses incurred on his daughter for marriage. Bala said he decided to discontinue with the marriage following the outcome of a hospital test which showed that his fiancee was HIV- positive . The complainant said although he could have kept quiet if the lady’s father had allowed him to swap with the younger sister of his wbride - to - be, but the man refused , saying he would rather refund. However , four months after the promise, Baban - Iro was yet to repay , Bala told the court. He claimed that he paid
N 14 ,000 as bride price , N 4 , 000 for introduction ,
N 10 , 000 for clothing and another N 4 ,000 for sewing the clothes . Bala promised to produce witnesses before the court to corroborate his claim . Baban - Iro , however, denied collecting N 32 ,000 from the complainant, saying that the only money he collected was for bride price and
introduction, amounting to N 18 ,000 . He did not , however , deny the HIV status of his daughter . The Presiding Officer , Ibrahim Inuwa, directed the complainant to present his witnesses to the court, and adjourned the case to April 12 . ( NAN )” . The funny thing is, this could have happened to anybody . HIV ? Thank God they had not even gotten married before he realised! He should thank his stars instead of fighting for the bride price he already paid ! Some people might expect him to still marry her with the virus since love conquers all . Some might expect him to leave the money . Some might think he should fight for it. What do you think ??
