It reminds me of something that happened about two years ago in the building where I live. One guy (a South African) came into the flat looking for a girl he met at the gym. The girl lived at the unit next to mine. The last one on the row. Anyway the guy wasn't sure which unit it was, so he went around peeking inside every open door, which was wrong of him. Anyone would have been suspicious of a stranger lurking around. At the time there was a Nigerian guy living at number 14. I live at number 17. The Nigerian guy came out & followed the guy, asking him why he looked into his house etc. I heard the commotion & came out. I heard the Nigerian guy say "I have a right to ask, I live here & I pay rent". The South African guy said "So what?" & proceeded to walk towards the end of the passage. The Nigerian guy went back to his place, but returned soon afterwards with 3 other guys. They were all carrying things like brooms etc. They said a few things I couldn't make out because they had their backs towards where I was standing. Long story short, the South African guy pulled out a gun & they backed away. Next thing I know, the Nigerians were yelling & stripping, like they always do Nigerians only fight with their mouths & of course taking off their clothes. Here they only beat each other, not ordinary South Africans who're already itching to beat the ugliness out of them

Kilimanjaro - Kenya Airways names her planes after Africa's natural feature eg, Mt. Kenya, Mt. Kilimajaro, Zambezi etc. Tanzanians discovered one KQ plane was named Mt. Kilimajaro and it became a talking point of every politician there, they even discussed it in parliament claiming we've stolen their mountain.

Tanzanians are masters of denial and sugarcoating. They don't want anything bad, however true it is, to be published about their country and when it does, they always accuse Kenya of it - even if the information is from worl bank, IMF or any international media. It's leadership induced. Nyerere was anti-kenyan because we rejected his communist ideology. He took his tiff with Kenyatta so hard eventually EAC collapsed and Kenya & TZ border was closed for years. Mwinyi-Mkapa-Kikwete had no serious issues with kenya - just the usual national interest. Mwinyi & Mkapa restarted EAC with Moi & Museveni - and EAC integration was moving full speed until the current slowpoke Magufuli came into the scene.

Their current president is so anti-Kenyan - and what is basically remaining for him to top Nyerere - is to collapse EAC (he has stone-walled it) and close the border.

You can imagine Kenya-Uganda trade nows is 1.2 billion dollars - with Uganda in 2018 for firs time enjoying a positive trade balance. TZ -Kenya trade under Magufuli has dropped from 600M dollars to 180m dollars per annum and failing. I also checked communication - voice & sms calls btw Kenya & TZ - it is dead - the hostility against kenya is so much - what remains basically is for TZ to close their border. Last year when Kenya had drought and there was maize shortage - TZ banned export of Maize. They found natural gas but they would rather sell it to anybody but Kenya.

Kenya and TZ are suppose to be very close and friendly. Closer than Uganda because of Kiswahili but their MYOPIC leadership has basically turned brothers and sisters into enemies. Rivalry is okay but Magufuli TZ is basically a Kenya enemy like Alshabab.

I am not sure why Magufuli hate kenya - he tends to be a little child in emotions - but maybe because he feels his friend Raila was rigged and kenya did support his opponent (LOWASSA) - because he is Maasai.

TZ & Kenya are basically about done. If Magufuli stays another few more years - I see even border at some point getting barricaded.

Magufuli is childish and stupid. I remember the time he officially opened the bridge Kumamoto posts here after every ten post. He said this in referrence to Kenya - just repeating the chorus that almost every Tanzanian will sing within a 30 minute interaction with a Kenya:-

"I know some of our neighbors think everything good is theirs. They first claimed Mt. Kilimanjaro, they then claimed Olduvai, Zanzibar, Serengeti and now let's see if they are going to claim this bridge too."

Thievery is what they use as the facemask but the real reason is, they are scared of Kenyans outmaneuvering them in their own country. Most investors in Tanzania prefer Kenyans for top management jobs, most private schools hire Kenyan teachers - they're scared of being outcompeted.

Well, mostly it's online but one thing I can assure you, you'll have a very hard time maneuvering or living in Tanzania if you say you're Kenyan. There's some sort of profiling of Kenyans down there.
