Hello Nakiemi

Thank you so much my dear God bless, did you end up writing a letter or you just left it like that . Have been feeling really bad since reading other post and they said they mark their envelope.

No my husband told me to just leave it.
It's only when I came here I saw others had marked their envelope as my lawyer didn't even advise me to do so.

Hi Lexusgs430

I put the proof of priority payment included with the supporting documents , hubby told me tls refused to take any of the payment receipts to send with his passport and was advice to inculde it with supporting documents. My worry now is I did not make the envelope as priority, am thinking when they receive it at sheffield and envelope not mark as priority will they treat it as non priority before they finally get to our application and open the supporting documents

So I paid priority and didn't mark the envelope and this was my exact panic - that they wouldn't know we'd paid priority.
But if it's inside with your supporting documents not to worry. To put your mind at rest I agree - send a letter and make sure you quote the GWF number and make a photocopy of the letter for your records. But try not to worry; your answer won't be far away.

Hello everyone I am new here and I have been reading alot of postive outcome. I want to know anyone who apply for priority in May and has had a decision.my husband is in nigeria and i am here in UK, i am missing my husband like crazy. We was refused in october due to some requirements not met. Our timeline

Application sent online- April 21 paid for priority
Biometric- May 2
Sheffield email acknowledge of application- May 3
Supporting documents sent- May 9
Track document received in sheffield - May 10
Send email twice on 02 and 05 June- emails reply after five days your application is being considered and last status update was on 03/05.
Call on 03/06 after no reply I was told application is awaiting to be assessed
Decision mail-

Hello Shokole,
I hope your well. I understand how much you miss your husband but believe you will be reunited soon!!

In regards to UKVI, the Sheffield offices particularly now serve several countries - so the backlog of applications is really bad.

My advice is if you paid priority and it reaches 8 weeks with no news - then check via the online email service (scroll back a few pages) you will locate the link. You can use several reference numbers to check the status of your application.

When you phone they will always tell you - 'settlement application is always 12 weeks' - and trust me it just frustrates you rather than help you while they charge you £1.37 a minute. Also don't use the email charge service either that's at £5.48.

If I've counted correctly, you are currently at 6 weeks & 2 days so hopefully you don't have long to go!

You used the correct address so don't panic.

Just pray and keep believing.

Hello everyone,
I have been following this thread for a while now but as a guest and I must confess it has been so helpful.
My story its going to be a bit lengthy but I hope it would help and encourage someone.
Before I finally settled in the UK, I have been coming to visit since I was a child as my Dad was resident there then. I was not opportuned to be a British citizen because my mum happens to be a second wife that the british would tag to be a "mistress".

In 2014, I came to the UK for my masters and was really hoping I would get a company to sponsor me on a tier 2 visa. I contacted the CIUK after reading numerous success stories and they were so eager to help but unfortunately I couldnt afford the £4000 they wanted then and my dad was not so keen about it. in 2015, I was just going through the UK gov website when I saw that you can not be registered as a British citizen if your dad is a citizen and he is not legally married to your mum. This would only cost me £80 so i felt there was no crime in trying.

I told my parents about it and we all decided to give it a trial with my 3 other siblings. We had a DNA test done at Kings college Hospital to proof paternity. we submitted the application in september and got a positive response in december. we had our citizenship ceremony in January and applied for our passports.

Fastforward to this year. I got married and hubby applied for his spouse visa following the details in the thread. and WE GOT A BIG YES!!!
NB. I was working for an agency and I was been paid using the minimum wage for over 25. I was so skeptical about our meeting the financial requirement but i kept trusting God for the best.
Our timeline is as follows:

06 March 2017 - Submitted Application online and made payment.
10 march 2017 - Went for Biometric at VI and posted document to Sheffield using DHL
13 March 2017 - Documents received and signed for in Sheffield (Tracked this using DHL tracking number)
05 April 2017 - Automail requesting for supporting documents by sponsor. (Hubby replied using the Contact us link on their website)
08 April 2017 - Message from sheffield asking for reasons for escalation.
04 June 2017 - Decision made (Tracked this using the new link posted on this forum)
07 June 2017 - Supporting documents returned to me
12 June 2017 - TLS accessed and ready for collection
13 June 2017 - Passport collected with Visa.
ALL GLORY TO GOD!

Lovely story!!! Big congratulations to you both!!

Nakiemi,
We're you able to track the return postage or you didn't bother?Any idea of your husband's profile on tls has been updated .

So yes I managed to track my package on the royal mail site. I'd even forgot about it until looking at the tab and refreshing it to see it has reached my parents house this morning. We can't access our Tls as our lawyer has the login and he's not replied my emails since I mailed him 24th may. Have you got your package back??

Haven't received any email from tlscontact though so I'm trying to keep calm . The possibility of seeing DH before the end of the month will make me dizzy .

As soon as I saw mine, I thought of you instantly. I'm praying hard. Can't believe June will end and we will see them. I also haven't received any email from TLS neither has hubby. I couldn't do the search, initially it was telling me it hasn't recognised my reference number but hubby did it and it worked instantly.

I also used a lawyer ohh, even though I felt like na me do all the work as a daily follower of this thread, but hubs no gree say him lawyer na kakaraka,

so the waiting begins

I used one just because the cost was too much to not get everything right. If I'd seen this thread prior I would've just used this guide

But by God's Grace we finally have some movement. Praying to GOD that there will be a visa in hubby's passport

Please has anyone heard from Bibra800 we did biometrics at similar time?!!

if its not 15days like they put up they should give the real lenght of days so one can chill out .

Hmmm you said it correct - they are seriously chopping!!!!
N I was one of the people who used a lawyer - big waste of money. He can't even help me track my application.
