Any one in the house noticed that the AirTel trybe night browsing is not working? Ive tried it yesternight and this night too (11-12 September) but its not working....

Ah! 9mobile are fake oo. Yesterday I subscribed for their youtube unlimited plan for 2hrs, and all i dis was like 1 hr of watchin YouTube and gbam! I ahve exhausted my data bundle...

I later on tried to use their blaze on unlimited AGAIN!!!! After downloading roughly 300mb the whole thing stopped working.

The funny thing is after calling their customer service, the guy was in a hurry to compensate me with 50mb of data...

Well, i called again after finishing up the 50mb and layed another complaint

Personally, and knowing what I know now, I would advise to go for a hip roof.

I have two flat roof structures on my site now that will be replaced by hip roof in the future when the materials have expired.

The work of a roof is to keep elements out of the house, and both types will do that. For me, the one to select is the one that will make the owner feel proud architecturally as you pull up after a hard day at work.

Since you said you never see how they look like, below is how they look like...

1. HIP (Pitched Roof) style roof
2. Flat Style roof

Advantages and Disadvantages:

HIP Roof (Pitched Roof)
Cost More
Difficult to Repair and Clean due to it's height
More Structure and Stability
Reduces Heat because of height
Reduces Sound effect
Effective/Excellent Drainage of Water
Affordable in Long term
Longer life span
You can make use of the Attic space for storage etc.
Aesthetically appealing

Flat Roof
Cost less
Drainage not quite effective
Easily Clogged leading to damage and leaks (if not regularly inspected)
Easy to Clean and repair
Leakage if done properly from the onset
Practical if living in area with little rainfall

Thanks alot for the info, He (my archi friend) actually showed me his own house under construction on his phone, with plan to use flat roof... from the looks of the plan the flat roof seem to be different and more eye catching...

Point taken from your post is to just go for the hip roof..
if i may ask, where is your base? And how do you normally work?

What l will tell you is this:

Since your funds are limited, build something that is not too elaborate.
Use say 1/3 of your land (at the back) as a start.
Build your 3-bed flat on it.
Make it very minimal in design
No unnecessary frills. (Time to show-off another build is just around the corner)
Build for functionality now
No parapet, no extravagant Pillar (functional columns are always necessary)
No Hoods or fancy Roofing (Do a flat Roof to save 1/3 on cost of roofing)
Supervise the building (as always be on ground).
Do all purchases yourself, after a careful market sampling

Your #2Million will almost finish your house, as long as you don't try to bite more than you can chew.

Sir! Ive tried so many places to get info about Flat roofing. Decided to search it on nairaland and viola i found this post...

I have an Archi friend that help me design my house (More of a renovation), and was telling me about a flat roofing. He tried explaining how it was and for it being cheaper than the usual hip roofs. the problem here is, i don't know how they look like and why we (Nigerians) are not using it as frequent.

Simply what are the advantages and disadvantages of using a flat roof design?? thanks in advance

Guys what if we the glo users decides to take action on this lymphatic glo service??

One thing i can think of is......

What if we make a trending topic on twitter and Facebook to call the attention of the higher management body of the service provider?
Make them know how bad their services are?? Make all them twitter activist with large number of
Followers to retweet the topic.

Even if they cant solve all the problems at least we know that oga at the top will know.

If you go through my previous post here on Nairaland u'll definately cone across my posts regarding the good performance of glo in my location. I convinced couple of my friends to join Glo's data bonanza then but now , even to place a phone call using my glo line is problematic.
With regards to data on glo, I subscribed for 10gb that I couldn't use at all.

Glo doesn't care about their quality of service. If they can get hold of the big cities (eg Lagos, Kano, Abuja, PortH) With their cheap data's thats all.

I am an avarage fifa player on playstation 4 and today i got an idea of creating a tournament in my locality.

What do you think about the idea of hosting a fifa 16 tournament in general?
Any Nairalander with experience of such?

I am thinking of renting a soccer viewing stationg for the tournament that will probably last for 4-5 days. Theres a place in mind with 2 good projectors that could be good for the game and I can get hold on to 2-3 ps4 consols.
I can aslo get 3 42 inch lcd tv's that could be used instead of the projectors.

And finally i could have a way of getting sponsors that can assist financially.

Id love to have suggestions and ideas, and wheather its a yes or a no go area.

My fellow Nairalanders, I am here to request for clarification on how to make use of the newly do not disturb policy initiated by the NCC. I decided to embrace the initiative immediately when the news broke to me by sending the keyword "STOP" to "2442". But to my surprise the unsolicited text messages and calls started flowing on my phone more than they used to be.
So please my dear friends, what is the right procedure to make those unwanted text messages and phone calls stop completely?
The confusing text message is

Dear Customer, to avail full Do Not Disturb service, sms STOP and to deactivate anytime full DND service send cancel to 2442. For PARTIAL services you wish to receive send PARTIAL to 2442

when I send the message again it replies with "you are already subscribed to the DND segment" somewhat means that I want more of the unsolicited messages. Its so annoying, they gave us false hope

Please don't rely on those network providers marketers that will always tell you that glo is bad. Always try it for yourself before you jump into the band wagon... I was a victim until i tried it once. Now i always ise glo for my data...

I could be among 100 most frequent users of glo data as its the best in the country for me.... thanks to glo i find it easy to update my phone, Computer and stream videos as i wish.... I'll always be appreciative of Glo data services

I have no reason to, but i don't believe this is true! I think the first thing the NCC should be doing is to force glo to revert their data subscription to their initials.

Glo data connection doesn't show if you dont have an active data subscription. It took me ages to realise that, i kept blaming my sim cards all the time until recently.

Just get some 1 to share his data with you and it'll work like a charm....

I currently use glo 10gb plan and its the best ever... No regrets.
