Pastor Wisdom Kusorgbor, the Head pastor of Soldiers of the Cross Ministries, located at Korle-Gonno near Accra, will spend 24 months with hard labour in prison for inserting his fingers in the genitals of a three-year-old girl.
The 25-year-old preacher was slapped with the jail term Monday after the Accra Circuit Court found him guilty of indecent assault.

He had pleaded not guilty to the offence, but after more than a year of trial, the court, presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, found the accused guilty.

The court held that the prosecution led by Chief Inspector Kofi Atimbire, proved its case beyond reasonable doubt to establish the guilt of the man of God.


Apart from inserting his fingers into the genitals of the minor, evidence on record also showed that although Pastor Kusorgbor did not penetrate the girl, he used his penis to “brush” the genitals of the girl.

“Lost memory”

During the trial, Pastor Kusorgbor created the impression that he was mentally challenged and had lost his memory.

He told the court that he did not remember given a statement to the police when he was arrested.

Also, he claim he had no memory of the sequence of event of the offence or the victim.

But surprisingly, he remembered most of the event relating to the case when he opened his defence and, during that period he regained his memory.

According to the court, the convict’s behaviour of remembering things only when it suited him, was a deliberate attempt to throw dust into the eyes of the court.

Delivering her sentence, Mrs Adjin-Doku said she took into consideration Pastor Kusorgbor’s age and the fact that he was a man of God, adding “you should have known better.’’

Incident

Per the facts of the case, as presented by the prosecutor, Chief Inspector Atimbire, the complainant is the mother of the three-year-old girl.

Pastor Kusorgbor, he said, stays s at Korle-Gonno but got to know the victim through his (Kusorgbor’s) mother who lives in the same compound house with the complainant.

The prosecutor explained that whenever Pastor Kusorgbor visited this mother, he gave his mobile phone to the three-year-old child to watch cartoons.

On December 28, 2016, Inspector Atimbire said Pastor Kusorgbor visited the mother, but did not meet her at home.

“Pastor Kusorgbor carried the three-year-old child to his mother’s room to watch cartoons on his phone. While she was watching the cartoons, he inserted his finger and used his penis to brush her vagina but did not penetrate,’’ he said.

According to the prosecutor, the girl later informed her mother about her ordeal at the hands of Pastor Kusorgbor.

“The mother lodged a complaint at the Mamprobi DOVVSU where a police medical form was issued to her to send the girl to the hospital for examination and treatment.

Pastor Kusorgbor was subsequently arrested and charged with the offence,” he said.

The Ashaiman Police have apprehended five Nigerians in connection with internet fraud at Roman Down, a suburb of Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.

The names of the culprits were given as Christopher Okonkwah, 19, Eduiyouwiri Junior, 26, Matthew Ogheneruese, 25, Oke Newman, 31, and Erubasa Godspower, 22.

They were arrested for alleged assault and cyber crimes.

Items retrieved from them include nine laptops, five Nigerian passports, five pen drives, surfline Wi-Fi, 13 Glo SIM card boxes, modems, two power banks, 11 mobile phones, Shisha pipe, 10 CDS, as well as cash of GHC1,738 and 280 Naira.

Confirming the arrest to DAILY GUIDE, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) George Tano, Crime Officer of the Ashaiman District Police Headquarters, explained that the police received information about their activities, adding that that they live flamboyantly without known sources of income.

According to him, on May 11, 2018 at about 12:00pm, police gathered that the suspects assaulted one of their colleagues mercilessly over misunderstanding.

The crime officer stated that police personnel were deployed to the house to arrest the suspects with assistant of the complainant, who identified them.

He urged landlords, particularly those in gated communities, to always carry out background checks on prospective tenants in order not to violate the law.

ASP George Tano pointed out that the suspects would be arraigned before court after police investigations.

When the researchers compared the women’s reports to their blood samples, they found a fascinating pattern. Mothers who had sex with their partners at least once during that week had significantly longer telomeres—or the part of a cell responsible for aging—than those who did not.

What do telomeres have to do with a longer life? Over time, the telomeres found in your cells break down as a result of aging, poor diet, and high alcohol use, the researchers said. But these results show that regular sex can repair and lengthen them, keeping your cells healthy and young.

Such a small study warrants further research, of course. And there are plenty of other science-backed ways to extend your life—so don’t feel pressured to get frisky.

But considering what happens to your body when you stop having sex, this research might be on to something. Plus, previous studies have also suggested that couples should have sex at least once a week to reap the most rewards. Translation: It can’t hurt to fool around with your partner tonight.

A Tabora-based taxi driver, who goes by the name Attah nearly flogged a woman who refused to pay him after patronising his services.
According to Attah, who spoke to Adomonline’s Gershon Mortey, the woman solicited his services to Accra-based radio station at Kokomlemle.

Upon arrival, Attah said the woman asked him to wait as she collects money from someone at Hitz FM.

But to the cab driver’s dismay, the woman started acting strange, gesturing in manner that suggested she was mentally impaired.

It was at this point that Attah took out a cane from his car ostensibly to teach the lady a lesson.

It took some staff of Multimedia who were present at the scene to calm the situation and prevent matters from escalating.

The taxi driver urged cab drivers to pay attention and screen passengers both directly and indirectly should they ask for their services.

A woman has been stoned to death in Somalia after a court run by al-Shabab convicted her of having several husbands, the militant group says.

Shukri Abdullahi Warsame was accused of marrying 11 times, without divorcing her previous husbands.

She was buried neck-deep and pelted to death with stones by al-Shabab fighters, say residents of the southern Sablale town.

Al-Shabab practises a strict interpretation of Sharia law.

The militant group controls large swathes of Somalia and often conducts raids and attacks in its attempt to overthrow the central government based in the capital, Mogadishu.

Mohamed Abu Usama, al-Shabab’s governor for the Lower Shabelle region, told Reuters: “Shukri Abdullahi and nine husbands, including her legal husband, were brought at the court, each saying she was his wife.”

According to Islamic law, polyandry – a woman having more than one husband – is illegal but men are allowed to marry up to four wives.

Divorce is allowed for both partners but while men can separate from their wives, the woman has to seek the husbands’s consent. If denied, she can go to religious court to get the approval.

A news site run by the militants said Ms Abdullahi was in “perfect” health, and pleaded guilty to the charges, when she appeared in court in Sablale, 200km (125 miles) south-west of Mogadishu .

Divorces are common in Somalia but the details of this case are unusual, the BBC Somali Service’s Mowliid Haji Abdi says.

The militants are known to mete out harsh physical punishments for what they consider as religious infractions.

A Ghanaian Lady on twitter named @Kim_Baakop3 shared details on a horrible molestation experience her neighbour had with an Uber driver.

The incident reportedly took place on Saturday April 28, when the lady booked a cab (Uber) to take her home. The driver apparently tried to molest her, when she refused she was pushed her out of the moving car, following which she registered a complaint with the Police.

The Zimbabwean government this week published a licensing regime that will allow the legal cultivation of cannabis, state-owned newspaper The Herald reported on Saturday.
Growing mbanje, as dagga is commonly known in Zim, will be legal for research and medical use under the new regulations, Statutory Instrument 62 of 2018, “Dangerous Drugs – Production of Cannabis for Medicinal and Scientific Use Regulations”.

Zimbabwe has been considering such partial legalisation for the last eight months.

Five-year licences will clear also clear growers to possess, transport and sell fresh cannabis, cannabis oil, and dried product.

The regulations impose an obligation on the government to consider the risk that dagga could be diverted to illicit use, complaints from police, or objections by local authorities.

Lesotho granted its first licences for marijuana production in September last year, believed to be the first African country to do so.

Police in Accra have arrested a 35-year-old woman for allegedly killing and burying her 8-year-old daughter at Korle-Bu in the Greater Accra Region.

Police District Commander for Korle-Bu, DSP Christopher Kwaku Asirifi, explained to Accra 100.5FM on Wednesday, 25 April that the 35-year-old woman, Nateley Mensah, had marital problems with the husband.

The husband lives in Asuboi near Nsawam and the woman resides in Accra. The husband brought their daughter to live with the mother in Accra but the deceased was sick at the time.

The police indicated that the girl vomited and the mother asked her to cover the puke with some sand.

“She started beating up the girl and the girl fell unconscious and died in the process. The woman should have come to report to the police but she didn’t do that and relied on the help of some two other persons to bury the child around 10PM on 12 April,” he said.

DSP Asirifi said the police had a tip-off on 13 April that the woman and some two others, one of them believed to be her boyfriend and the other the landlady, “dug and buried the deceased without informing anyone”.

The woman has been remanded in police custody and the law enforcement officers have secured a court order to exhume the body.

The two other suspects are on the run as police continue with investigations.

A woman who saved the in-flight apple she got on a Delta Air Lines flight says she was fined $500 after passing through U.S. Customs and Border Patrol with the fruit in her bag.
Crystal Tadlock was traveling from Paris back to the U.S. when toward the end of her flight, a Delta flight attendant passed out apples, she told KDVR, a local FOX affiliate in Colorado. She said she wasn’t hungry and decided to save the snack for the last leg of her trip back to Denver.

She was randomly stopped going through Customs, she said, and an agent found the piece of fruit, which was inside a plastic bag with Delta’s logo on it.

“He had asked me if my trip to France was expensive and I said, ‘yeah.’ I didn’t really get why he was asking that question, and then he said ‘It’s about to get a lot more expensive after I charge you $500,'” Tadlock told KDVR.



The KDVR report didn’t specify where the Customs search occurred or what date it happened.

She asked if she could just throw the apple out or eat it but said the agent handed her a $500 fine. Tadlock said she’s frustrated about the ticket and that Delta did not warn passengers about not taking the food off the plane.

“It’s really unfortunate someone has to go through that and be treated like a criminal over a piece of fruit,” she told KDVR.

When contacted by USA TODAY, a Delta spokesperson would not comment specifically on the incident but said the company encourage its customers “to adhere to Customs and Border Protection policies and requirements.”

U.S. Customs said in a statement that the agency does not discuss details of specific inspections but “all agriculture items must be declared” and penalties can be as high as $1,000.

The agency lists the policy for bringing food into the U.S. on its website and says the strict policy is designed to prevent against plant pests and foreign animal diseases entering the U.S.

Tadlock said she has a choice between paying the citation and fighting in court. She told the TV station she plans to bring the matter before a judge.

Two members of Ghana’s contingent to the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia did not return.

The Ghana Badminton Association have confirmed Stella Amassah and Gifty Mensah disappeared from team Ghana’s camp and have still not been found.

This comes on the back of team captain Botsyo Nkegbe’s claims on the Joy Sports Link, Saturday, that he was sure that all the 72 athletes, who went for the Games, were accounted for and had left Australia for Ghana or wherever they came from.

The two athletes were active in the Games and represented Ghana in the women’s mixed and team events.

Gifty Mensah, on the other hand, exited the competition on April when she and Grace Atipaka lost 2-0 to Sonia Cheah and Lai Shevon Jemie of Malaysia in the women’s doubles round of 32. However, they ran away a day after they were eliminated.

A 31-year-old man, Hafisu Hassan, has been sentenced to one-year imprisonment by a magistrate court sitting in Akure, Ondo State, for stealing chairs belonging to a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at Isikan area of Akure.
The accused person, with another accomplice who escaped, was arrested by the Police after burgling the church and stealing some plastic chairs worth N55,000.

At the court, the accused person was arraigned on one count of stealing.

According to the prosecution, the offence committed was contrary to and punishable under Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 37.Vol 1 Laws of Ondo state of Nigeria 2006.

Hassan, who pleaded guilty to the charge, appealed to the court to pardon him and promised not to get involved in such act again.

The prosecutor, Mr. Nanjul Amos, cited Section 320 of the (ACJN) Laws of Ondo State 2006, and presented the fact of the case before the court. He also presented the statement of the accused before the court.

In her ruling, the Magistrate, Mrs. O. A. Adegoroye, accepted the accused’s statement as exhibit, saying in view of it, the accused was guilty as charged.

She sentenced the accused person to one- year imprisonment without an option of fine.

On the eve of Zimbabwe’s 38th independence anniversary, the government has discharged all nurses that were participating in a strike demanding payment of allowances and restructuring of the salary scale.
In a statement issued by the vice president, Constantino Chiwenga, government accused the striking nurses of ignoring the transfer of $17,114,446 transferred to the health ministry’s account to address their grievances.

The statement adds that the refusal of the nurses to return to their work stations despite the government’s demonstration of good faith was interpreted as evidence that the industrial action is politically motivated and not about conditions of service or work welfare.

‘‘Accordingly, government has decided, in the interest of patients and saving lives, to discharge all the striking nurses with immediate effect.’‘

The statement adds that the Health Services Board has been instructed to use the said funds to engage all unemployed trained nurses in the country and reacll retired nursing staff into the service.

Striking for better payment terms


Nurses in Zimbabwe went on strike on Monday to press the government to pay them allowances and to protest a flawed system for grading salaries, a nurses union said.

The strike left public hospitals understaffed and follows a month-long walkout by junior doctors that ended on April 2.

The strike poses a problem for President Emmerson Mnangagwa who wants to revive a sluggish economy ahead of elections set for July in which he faces a revitalized opposition Movement for Democratic Change party led by 40-year-old Nelson Chamisa.

The Zimbabwe Nurses Association (ZNA), which has more than 16,000 members, said government negotiators had on Sunday tried to avert the strike by promising to pay arrears but nurses resolved to go on strike.

“They have been making promises for a long time and the nurses resolved to only go back to work when their money is in their accounts,” Enoch Dongo, the ZNA secretary general said.

The lowest paid nurse in Zimbabwe earns a gross monthly salary of $284 before allowances, according to Dongo.

The nurses want to be paid other allowances they say were promised by the government in 2010 but never honoured. A majority of nurses were placed in lower grades making it harder for them to receive higher pay, he said.

Zimbabwe spends more than 90 percent of its annual budget on salaries and Mnangagwa’s government is seeking to curb the wage bill by a freeze on new hiring and cuts to the workforce.

A Chinese student chopped off his genitals after his girlfriend mocked him for having a small penis.
Footage shows the young man wearing nothing but a T-shirt, calmly standing outside Guangdong Peizheng College in south-eastern China.

Many students flocked to take photographs and film the man who was later rushed to hospital.

The college has now stepped in to try and stop rumours circulating on social media.

One social media conversation suggested the student took drastic measures after arguing with his girlfriend.

Another claimed he castrated himself after an unidentified young woman made disparaging comments about his endowment.

The young man was said to be in a “sober state of mind”, but there is no further information about his current condition.

The college could not confirm why he decided to hurt himself.

In a brief statement confirming that he had injured himself and that he was taken to hospital after the college was notified about what had happened.

This harrowing incident comes days after a student at a top university threatened to chop her lecturer’s penis off and shove it up his bum.

Uganda plans to slap a new tax on social media users from July to raise revenue, which human rights activists denounced as another attempt by President Yoweri Museveni to stifle freedom of expression and quash dissent to his 32-year-rule.
The move is unlikely to go down well in a country where more than 40 percent of people use the internet. Data costs in Africa are already among the world’s highest, according to digital advocacy group World Wide Web Foundation.

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija told Reuters in a phone interview that the tax will charge each mobile phone subscriber using platforms such as WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook 200 Ugandan shillings ($0.027) per day. He dismissed concerns it could limit people’s use of the internet.

“We’re looking for money to maintain the security of the country and extend electricity so that you people can enjoy more of social media, more often, more frequently,” he said.
Human rights activists begged to differ, and some took to social media to criticise the proposal.

“It’s part of a wider attempt to curtail freedoms of expression,” Rosebell Kagumire, a human rights activist and blogger, said.



Of Uganda’s 41 million people, 23.6 million are mobile phone subscribers and 17 million use the internet.

Kasaija said the proposal, to be included in the budget for fiscal 2018/19 starting in July, had been sent to parliament this week for review after the cabinet approved it.
The government blocked access to Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp during the last general election in 2016, a move used by other entrenched rulers in Africa in response to grassroots movements against them.

Among other governments in East Africa moving to regulate internet use, Tanzania introduced a law last month requiring any citizen operating a blog or website to pay an annual licence fee of 1 million Tanzanian shillings ($440). Moesha Boduong in an interview on CNN’s Amanpour show revealed that the state of the Ghanaian economy has pushed her to sleep with a married man in order to survive.

“Ghana our economy is such that you just need someone to take care of you because you can’t make enough money as a woman here,” she said.

“When you want to get an apartment, in Ghana you pay two years in advance and I just started working, where will I get the money,” she explained.

The interviewer who was visibly surprised by the revelation and enquired if Miss Boduong was having sex with the man primarily to pay for her rent, with which she responded, ” he can afford to take care of you. He takes care of me, my financial stuff, my apartment, my car, my rent, everything”.

She added that in exchange for the money she receives from her lover/benefactor, she is expected to stay loyal to him and yield to his sexual desires whenever he demands.

” He expects me to be loyal and just to date him only and give him sex when he wants.You can’t say no.You have to give him what he wants otherwise he is going to think you are cheating on him, ” she added.

The primary responsibility of the aunt is to confirm that the groom is potent and that the bride has defended her virginity before the marriage is consummated. As a potency test for the groom, the aunt is sometimes required to have sex with the groom for confirmation of his potency and virility.

She also has to “test” if the bride is still a virgin before they are allowed to consummate their marriage.

In other traditions, the aunt is said to go as far as listening in or watching as the bride and groom have sex in order to prove the couple’s potency.

Inasmuch as this practice may sound weird, it shows how the people of Banyankole, particularly the Bahima ethnic group hold virginity in high esteem.

As soon as a Banyankole girl is eight, she goes through a lot of restrictions to prepare her for marriage.

When other children her age in other cultures are out having fun and playing, a girl in this part of Uganda is mostly kept indoors, where she is fed beef and millet porridge and forced to drink milk in large quantities so that she becomes fat.

Being fat is synonymous with beauty among the Banyankoles.

When she starts developing breasts, she is also asked by her parents to abstain from sexual activities.

It is the duty of a Banyankole father to find a wife for his son as he pays the bridewealth as well. This consists of some cows, goats and pots of beer, depending on how rich a person is.

Once the bride price is paid, the marriage preparations begin. On the wedding day, there is a lot of feasting at the bride’s home, where the father is expected to slaughter a bull.

At the bridegroom’s home, there is another feast where the marriage is consummated. This is after the bride’s aunt has “tested” her niece’s purity and slept with the groom to also check his potency.

Oxygen supply to a nine-week-old baby was cut by a doctor at the St Gregory Hospital at Kasoa in the Central Region over the child’s parents’ inability to pay GHS533.

The child, Prosper, died subsequently.

Little Prosper had been on admission at the hospital since 5 March due to difficulty in breathing, until his death three weeks later.

The child’s mother, Sefakor, told Accra-based Joy FM’s Joojo Cobbinah that the hospital had intentions of transferring the little patient to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

Before the Doctor on duty pulled the plugs on the oxygen machine, Sefakor said he had asked her if her husband, Kennedy Kwao, was making efforts to pay the bill.

On that fateful Saturday, she narrated, the Doctor came and enquired from her if she had heard from the child’s father concerning the money for the bill.

“I say I didn't hear, then he removed the oxygen,” she said in the little English she could string together.

The hospital is yet to speak on the matter.

Nigerians warned to be careful in London. A top aide to Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has warned Nigerians living in London to be careful and to show restraint, following killings in the city.

The killing of black people, especially those of Nigerian origin in London, was "worrisome and disturbing”, said Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the senior special assistant to Mr Buhari on foreign affairs and the diaspora.

A total of 50 black people, mainly young, are reported to have been stabbed or gunned down in London since January, her office said in a statement.

This included nine Nigerian youth killed in London and other parts of the UK, the statement added.

Ms Dabiri-Erewa had written a protest letter to the UK High Commissioner in Nigeria, demanding an investigation and justice, the statement said.

A troubled man has voiced out after he discovered that his wife does the unimaginable thing to the food she serves him.
According to the man, his wife, who doesn’t want him to cheat on her, has been cooking his meals with urine.

The man alleged that the wife got a potion from the native doctor which has to be mixed with urine to be more effective.

A relationship expert, Cynthia Valerian Raphaels took to Facebook to share the man’s sad story and wrote:

Madam good morning treat as urgent please, if possible post it this morning.

My wife has been using juju on me all these while. she left for a wedding yesterday . She was the person that made the cake at the wedding. When I woke up from sleep after she left, my children were all with me on my bed (13,11,. So we all woke up crying for food. I went into the kitchen to get food for them. In my house, rat has always been my problem because of the gutters near us. So I try as much as I can to be dropping rat poison every night. So inside the kitchen, a rat ran across. I left what I was doing and pursued it, closed my kitchen door so it wont have chance to escape, it first ran under the sink, into the dustbin area and inside the cupboard. So I pursued it because the rat was a very big one. I followed it to the cupboard and started bringing out the spices , throwing everything down and came to a bottle, and in it was a yellowish watery substance. Inside it was some substance. That caught my attention that I forgot I was even chasing a rat. So I kept the stick I was holding and opened the container.

Madam the smell was choking. I started asking myself, what is that for, Inside the kitchen? I took the container inside my room and even the food I can't to get for my kids, I told them to get into the car, let's go eat outside. My wife came back around 6:02pm and I called her, brought out the bottle and asked her what is the content. I was watching the expression on her face and body language. She was shocked and instantly she denied knowing anything about it. I asked her, your own kitchen? What do you mean? She was quiet and I had to tell her that I will call our parish priest to come to the house and I will show him what I found in my kitchen and that I will take this bottle home to my parents as well.

She started crying, that I should forgive her, that she is sorry. That she did it for me not to cheat on her or have another woman. That her mother saw hell in her fathers hands. So her mother took her to a dibia who did some concoction with her urine and asked her to be cooking with it once in a week for me. That I won't ever look at any other woman except her only. Her mother is late,died last three years ago. This is to show you how long they have been doing this. I now asked her, since her mother died, has she visited the man? She said yes. I am very weak and dumbfounded. It looks like a movie we watch, but this is happening in my house . What will I tell my children that is the reason their mother left? I don't feel safe at all anymore. I went to put the substance in my car, locked it so she won't get access to it and tell people that I am accusing her wrongly. We have not had a house help before. Her mother lived with us till she passed on.

Madam Cynthia, I am here for advise because I don't know how to start talking to my friends about this because they will all laugh at me .

The Rev. Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Mount Zion Congregation in Odorkor, Jonathan Akwetey Abbey, says married men who refuse to wash the panties and clothes of their sick wives are wicked.
According to him, love is about helping one another and women have been washing the boxers and clothes of their husbands all the time so he finds no fault with married men doing same for their wives once a while or when they are ill.

Rev. Abbey also told Adom News Reporter, Kofi Nkansah that women become more appreciative when their husbands assist them in their house chores occasionally, especially by helping them to wash.

Some 19 students of the New Juaben Senior High School (NJUASCO) in Koforidua in the Eastern region were recently hit with various disciplinary actions by the school authorities for varied breaches.

Some of the students were suspended while others were expelled from the boarding house.

Majority of the affected students were allegedly engaged in “marijuana party” on campus which led to one student being hospitalized.

Starr News sources say some of the affected students were only allowed to partake in the ongoing WASSCE after their influential parents lobbied the school authorities.

Sources close to the School also indicate that one of the students, a female, sneaked out of school at night for sexual pleasures.

The disciplinary committee of the School found the students guilty for breaching aspects of the school rules and regulations hence the action.

The committee however could not obtain any exhibits of the alleged marijuana used for the said party to incriminate the students hence handed them indefinite suspension and deboardenization as punishment.

The sanctions were however reversed and the students recalled after intervention by their parents, Starr News has gathered.

The new Management of the school headed by Frank Obeng Wilson since assuming post has decided to restore total discipline in the school as part of the overall objective of enhancing academic performance of students.

This path of paradigm shift has been met with several obstacles including interference by parents and other influential people.

Please someone give me insight on why he did this to me after I found out he’s cheating. I’m 29, he’s 31.
We dated and I’ve never felt this way about anyone. He seemed the same. Opened up about his greatest fears. He seemed emotionally interested.
Fast forward, through my coworkers I found out he cheated. Apparently he’s a notorious cheater, a big liar, and had sex with at least 26 girls which I had no idea about.

I gave him money when he asked, Said he would pay me back. I guess he started using me for money and food. All this while he was cheating and having sex with girls who’re not worth it.

When I confronted him about cheating he just laughed, asked what he did, and I haven’t heard from him since.

Ghanaian Lady has shared her story on twitter about how a Trotro driver and his mate almost succeeded in kidnapping her.

The lady revealed that she boarded the car from Manet Junction to Nkrumah Circle.

During the trip, She realized that the driver was taking a different route. She inquired from the mate why the driver changed route.

A Ghanaian man took to twitter to narrate how he found out that an aged nurse at Siloam hospital has injected her mum with an expired drip.

According to Joey, he travelled from Winneba to Kumasi which is about 253km to visit her mum at the ward only to find out that the nurse on duty forgot to demonstrate 'due diligence' in her line of duty.

Health researchers everywhere look for that right combination of health services. Health service delivery where the requisite structures and processes are in place so that we can prevent certain people who die as a result of poor health structures and provide access to care for everyone in the community.

A Ghanaian twitter user took to the micro-blogging platform to narrate how his uncle died in his arms when he rushed his uncle to ‘Korle Bu’ one of the biggest hospitals in Ghana.

Dr. Joseph Tambil, National President of the Medical Superintendents Group Of Ghana at the Annual Health Conference said “The human resource we have is not properly trained for delivery of health care in a modern or transitional society like ours. There are CHPSS compounds that are held under sheds and the community health officials who work in these compounds do not have anywhere to lay their heads and this is demotivating.”

Stakeholders have called on government to prioritize the health sector and invest heavily in the sector and not rely on donor funding from European countries.

President Donald Trump is ending a program that has allowed approximately 3,600 Liberians to stay in the U.S. for over two decades, giving them one year from now to leave the country or face deportation.
It’s the latest example of Trump ending a program that’s protected tens of thousands of immigrants from various countries from deportation and kept them in the U.S. legally. It comes as the president and his allies seek to quietly but steadily change immigration in America by reversing previous presidents’ executive actions.

One immigrant advocacy group called Trump’s move “harsh, cruel, and disgusting.”

The program, called Deferred Enforced Departure, or DED, is for Liberians who in the past were granted what’s called Temporary Protected Status, or TPS, after the civil war in Liberia. In 2007, President George W. Bush ended TPS for Liberia, but allowed recipients already in the U.S. to apply for DED instead, an action President Barack Obama renewed throughout his two terms.


That latest renewal was set to expire on Saturday, March 31, and Tuesday Trump gave formal notification that he is ending the program and giving recipients one year to leave the U.S. or possibly face deportation.

To critics, the decision threatens to uproot thousands of law-abiding Liberian immigrants who have been in the U.S. for a generation.

“This is home for me, and the thought of leaving my daughter is emotional. I’m pleading with the President and Congress to extend DED,” one recipient, Nancy Harris of Alabama — who’s been in the U.S. for 18 years with her husband, a pastor — told reporters Monday.

But immigration hawks say the decision is a return to the law’s original intention, given that the war in Liberia ended long ago. That reasoning was laid out in Trump’s decision, writing in his formal letter to the secretaries of Homeland Security and State, “Through consultation with appropriate executive departments and agencies and my advisors, I have been informed that conditions in Liberia have improved. Liberia is no longer experiencing armed conflict and has made significant progress in restoring stability and democratic governance.”
