INEC TO DISQUALIFY WILLI OBIANO FROM ANAMBRA STATE GUBER ELECTION FOR DOUBLE REGISTRATION

The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)’s office in Awka has been thrown into turmoil today as news filtered into the state that their Governorship candidate in the forth-coming Guber election in the state faces disqualificaton as a result of the doubble voters registration in the possession of Willi Obiano

It was discovered few days ago that Willi Obiano procured INEC voters card in Lagos sometime ago and also went ahead to procure another voters card at his home town Aguleri to enable him vote in Anambra state in the forth-coming Guber election in the state thereby registering twice with INEC

The normal Standard Operating Procedure would have been that an indigen of Anambra State that registered outside the state to transfer his/her INEC voters registeration to Anambra state through INEC to enable such a person to vote.But Willi Obiano opted out to secretly register twice instead of transfering his voters card to the state thereby commiting an Electoral offense punishable by law.The Nigerian Electoral Act stipulates that A PERSON WHO IS IN POSSESSION OF MORE THAN ONE VALID VOTERS CARD IF COUGHT IS LIABLE ON CONVICTION TO A MAXIMUM FINE OF 100,000 NAIRA OR 12 MONTHS IMPRISONMENT OR BOTH

If investigated,Mr Willi Obiano will be arrested for electoral fraud and disqualified from contesting the guber election in Anambra State

But in a smart move to hide this fraud,Anambra State Government and some APGA stalwarts pressurised one Prof Onukogu,a Resident Electoral Commissioner to delete the lagos voters card from INEC’s server to cover-up the fraud.While Prof Onukogu was hesistant,the State Govt placed a call to Mr Chidi,the head of the ICT Dept of INEC in Anambra State to delete Willi Obianos name from the Aguleri register

As at the time of writing this report,APGA chieftains are still running around looking for a way to either cover this fraud or delete either the Lagos voters card or the Aguleri Voters Card from INEC Computerised register

As this scene unfolds,the whole world is watching INEC and Prof Jega to see if the INEC boss will allow his commission to cover this fraud or tow the path of Justice to ensure that WIlLLI OBIANO IS DISQUALIFIED FOR ELECTORAL FRAUD AND RECOMMENDED FOR ARREST

WHY ANAMBRA YOUTHS SHOULD VOTE FOR TONY NWOYE

With the trend of events in the state, If it were for personal and exclusive reasons that drives Comrade Tony Nwoye to aspire to govern Anambra state, it may be uneasy for us to adduce a justification for that cause.

But, on August 24th 2013, when he emerged the PDP candidate, he stopped being 'I' or 'me' and became 'US' and 'WE', my dream, became our dream. A dream for the teeming Anambra youths and youths elsewhere tortured by weariness and pain, who strives valiantly towards a goal, but feel defeated when they see the gap between the ideal and the reality.

Today is that Tomorrow our elders talked about Yesterday,we are grown and mature to take care of our destiny, but still have an undeserved interference from those whom it is their duty to strengthen our failing courage and shed sunshine on our paths to destiny as we take some falls, get up and continue, fully aware that the baton we hold we must guard and relay to our OWN today's tomorrow.

Tony Nwoye represents that us; a shared dream of our today's generation who are harshly burnt by the scorches from the heat of economic furnace. Those whom their daily quest for survival has hampered their conscious recognition of the fact that they hold major stake in the continuous process of making a good today for a better tomorrow. Tony Nwoye represents that shared dream for a thousand young elements that despite their age and maturity are keenly aware of the entrenched establishments usurping our space and roles in modelling own today.

The battle he wages is our battle, the war waged against him is against us, a war against all the young, articulate and energetic,vibrant, principled and talented young minds who have the brain and power to make a meaningful change in the state and elsewhere but are discouraged, afraid or intimidated by unassuming influence of money politics, godfatherism and planned perpetual habitation of the Political/decision house of our today's destiny.

It is amusing to talk about the children's children, the future of our tomorrow without the consequent basic foundation and care of our today. I know that human race is a relay race, batons must be passed from one hand to another; a race which the end result depends on the skill, speed and creativity each generation carries on with its part in the race. It is a race in which an athlete in the front-line is allowed to take a few steps backward to receive the baton but can never be by-passed.


Therefore, those of us today, who unassumingly thinks it is Tony's cross, that it is politics, shoud know that it is a war against you in that little or corporate office where you work, your household, your market place or any domain you find yourselves. The Practical question you should ask and regurgitate on the answer is this- Do I hold the baton yet?

May our place in history not be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat, who through cowardice allow a handful of oppressors accept the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves

Let us look beyond his political aspiration and appreciate the potency of Tony Nwoye's dream. Collectively we can own this DREhAM SEED, plant, nurture and
grow it into a big REALISM TREE from which our children will harvest the fruits of emancipation

Happening now at the Appeal Court in Port-Harcourt....In a Nollywood like Fashion,Nicholas Ukachukwu's team of Lawyers led by Barr Nwafor Orizu ran away from court today

The appeal number 965 (PDP VS UKACHUKWU) and 966 (UKACHUKWU VS TONY NWOYE) consolidated,being the Appeal for who becomes the Governorship Candidate of the PDP has been successfully concluded few minutes ago at the Appeal Court in Port-Harcourt.
In what started as a victorious day for Tony Nwoye at the appeal court in Port-Harcourt,the motion by Ejike Oguebego and his lawyers was thrown out by the presiding Judges for lack of legitimacy.Ejike Oguebego and his team were described as Interlopers who wants to reap where they did not sow
Immediately after they were thrown out,Senator Andy Uba and his lawyers came forward seeking to be joined in the suit.The court declared Andy Uba an imposter and held that he did not participate in PDP Primary election and has no Legal rights on the issue of PDP candidacy for Anambra state.The court dismissed and threw away his motion and asked him to vacate the court premises
Nicholas Ukachkwu’s lawyers came with an agenda to extend the matter before the presiding judges importing junks of irrelevant motions which the presiding judges immediately dismissed and asked them to establish their case
Nicholas Ukachukwu’s lawyer Barr Nwafor-Orizu on seeing that his game was up,resorted to delay tactics using all manners of intimidations and stampede in the book to demobilise the presiding Judges and waste their time.The Judges advised him to watch his tongue or they will report him to the National Judicial Council

After a couple of intellectual arguments,Nichola Ukachukwu's Lawyer Barr Nwafor Orizu could not withstand the superior arguments of Comrade Tony Nwoye's team of Lawyers led by Barr Clement Ezika,Barr Ernest Nwoye and others and excused himself from the court on the premise that he wants to consult with his principal
However,when the court reconvened few hours later,Barr Nwafoe-Orizu was no where to be found,the Judges started looking for him but his phones were switched off and he was declared AWOL
The presiding Judges however went on with other court matters and later reserved judgement to be communicated to all parties later in the week

OMABALA YOUTH FORUM ENDORSES COMRADE TONY NWOYE FOR GOVERNOR

Youths under the umbrella of Omabala Youths Forum have thrown their weight behind the Govrnorship aspiration of Comrade Tony Nwoye.This endorsement has given a boost to the campaign efforts of the PDP in the region
In a statement signed by the Chairman Mr Eboh and another Chieftain Mr Nzekwe Emeka at Umuleri,the group wrote inter alia ‘’After due consultations,we the entire members of Omabala Youths Forum have endorsed comrade Tony Nwoye as the gubernatorial candidate for Nov 16th Governoship election,we urge all Omabala and Anambra state in general to vote for the PDP and Comrade Tony Nwoye.A vote for Tony Nwoye is a vote for progress in the state’’
When contacted on this development,a Youth Leader and a stalwalt of PDP in the state Hon Umerie Uchenna confirmed this development and went further to say that a similiar endorsement has also been recieved from various youths organisations from Aguleri,Otocha,Onitsha,Nnewi and Agulu.

Hon Egwuatu Ejiofor,a former House of Assembly Member and a Chieftain of the Party in Onitsha who recieved the endorsement letter on behalf of Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation commended the youths for standing on the side of positive change that will usher Youths Empowernment and Employment,Job creation,Educational,health and agricultural rejuvination in the state.He however promised to deliver their message to the PDP Guber Candidate Comrade Tony Nwoye and his Deputy Dr Amanchukwu Ezeike
It should be recalled that few days ago,Comrade Tony Nwoye won an Electoral Poll conducted by the Transition Observer Group in the state where Tony Nwoye scored over 75 percent of the response from participants to beat the candidates of Labour Party and APGA respectively

PETER OBI PLANS RIGGING WITH 60 BILLION NAIRA TO INSTAL HIS BUSINESS PARTNER WILLY OBIANO

The Governor of Anambra State Mr Peter Obi boosted few weeks ago that he must instal his business partner Mr Willy Obiano as the next Governor of Anambra State.When few months ago,he gave an interview in a national daily where he claimed to have perfected strategies aimed at winning the next Guber election in the state,his claim was taken with a pinch of salt but recent developments have confirmed that Mr Peter Obi is bent on rigging the forth-coming election in the state by every means necessary

Two days ago,Mr peter Obi called a meeting of his contractors across the LGAs in the state and mandated each to enforce their Staff to support the candidature of Willy Obiano.Some contractors at the meeting who were not favorable disposed to the proposal raised questions but were forced to submission with threats of sacks or dismissal from their respective responsibilities.Sources who do not want their names in print confirmed this ugly development.One of the contractors based in Onitsha-North LGA was said to have sacked some of his staff yesterday who disagreed on supporting the candidate of APGA.The same experience replicated at Aguata and Ogbaru LGAs respectively as some staff lost their jobs for refusal to support Mr Willy Obiano

Early this morning,Mr Peter in collusion with the SSG Mr Oseloka Obaze called a meeting of some members of the State House of Assembly and offered to give each of the Legislature the sum of 5 Million Naira should they approve for him 60 Million Naira to run some projects in the state.The legislatures refused to make such an approval on the ground that previous funds that have been approved for the state Government that are yet to be accounted for.A member of the opposition party immediately shot down the request accusing the Governor of seeking funds to bankroll his Governorship candidate and business partner Mr Willy Obiano.Mr Peter Obi immediately denied the allegation but could not explain in clear terms why he wanted the 60 Billion Naira. Mr Oseloka Obaze who was silent most of the time at the meeting quickly persuaded the Governor to part with 15 Million Naira gift to each of the Legislature should they agree to approve 60 Billion Naira for him.The Legislatures present agreed to consult other members of the State House of Assembly and get back to the Governor within 48 hours
This calls for concern to the people of Anambra State. Mr Peter Obi has already been approved the sum of about 110 Billion for this year Projects. It should be noted that Mr Peer Obi embarked on an unprecedented spending spree since the past couple of weeks where he disbursed more than 50 billion naira to various communities and Private Sectors aimed at cowing them to support his business partner cum APGA Guber candidate Mr Willy Obiano.The resources of the state has been depleted by Mr Peter Obi in his mischievous scheme to bribe his way round the state aimed at rigging the Guber election at the expense of State Funds

What is Mr Peter Obi doing with 60 Billion Naira in less than one month to the election?.Does the state have any emergency, the answer is NO
The people of Anambra state are watching this scenario.In a few days,we shall know if Mr Peter Obi finally succeeded in bribing the Legislature with 15 Million Naira each to approve his 60 Billion Naira scheme and we are also calling on the EFCC,ICPC and other Financial crime bodies to seriously look into this unholy schemes of Mr Peter Obi to save the poor people of Anambra State from Bankruptcy

COMRADE TONY NWOYE WON TRANSITION OBSERVERS GROUP (TOG) POLL ON ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The result of the Anambra state governorship opinion poll conducted by the Transition Observer Group (TOG) has been released.The opinion poll which was gotten from an interview data conducted by TOB from August 27th to 2nd October,2013 was released in Awka this morning by the Coordinator Mr John Nwokeocha.The group employed Focus group discussions,In-depth interviews and paticipant observation strategies to gather information from the electorates on the candidate they prefare to win the Nov 16th Governorship electon in Anambra State.Part of the inclusion date sampled ranged from Political experience,Integrity,Antecedents,Responsibility and Competence,while the research focused on the candidates of the major political parties in the state including the PDP,APGA,LABOR PARTY,APC,UPP,ACCORD PARTY,HOPE PARTY amongst others

While releasing the result,Mr John Nwokeocha noted that Comrade Tony Nwoye of PDP scored 75% to beat the candidates of Labor Party,APGA and APC that scored 52%,49% and 41% respectively
In a related development,Pharm Ikeagwonwu Chinedu Klinsman,a member of the ICT and Communication Unit of Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation while fielding questions from press men noted that the result of the Opinion poll conducted by the Transition Observers Group was actually a true reflection of the wishes of the electorates.In his words ‘Anambra state is a PDP state and the emergency of Comrade Tony Nwoye as the PDP candidate has shown that the people of the state desire a change from the present status quo of Politics of deceit and Jingoism .Anambra people needed a voice in the affairs of governance in the state and have thus elected Comrade Tony Nwoye as the PDP candidate in the forth-coming guber election in the state’.

We as patriots must therefore expose this conspiracy to restore the dignity of our state and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. We must all rise against this collective enemy of democracy to ensure that a government of the people by the people and for the people shall never perish in this country. It was Martin Neimoller that was quoted in his book titled THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE FREE and I quote ‘First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then finally they came for me and by that time, there was no one left to speak for me’. When one state is enslaved, all are not free. Nicholas Ukachukwu’s dangerous politics must not be treated as Anambra’s problem, it must be a concern to every citizen of this great country as this has set a dangerous precedence and has heated up the polity in Anambra state and very soon, viral political desperados like him will replicate his actions across this nation especially now that he is a strong financer of the Baraje led new PDP

Nicholas Ukachukwu is from Anambra state and he wants to be Governor of Anambra State in 2013 but he still thinks that he can be a Governor through black market injunctions. People with doubtful integrity can go to any length to grab power. Nicholas ukachukwu assumes it is politically correct to grab power through the instrumentality of court actions and not by the obtained consent of those to be governed. He has initiated judicial rigging in Anambra state but fails to remember that all riggings irrespective of undertones removes LEGITIMACY as the vote of the people doesn’t count anymore. It also meant that my vote at the Alex Ekwueme’s Square during the PDP Congress of the 24th of August 2013 doesn’t count anymore. Nicholas Ukachukwu by his court injunction has told us to go to hell. I voted at that congress and I knew that Nicholas Ukachukwu lost the PDP ticket and was defeated by Comrade Tony Nwoye.But today, in his desperation and total disregard and disrespect to us and the people of Anambra State; he got a court injunction to declare himself winner. Like I said earlier, any man with doubtful integrity can go to any length to grab power.

To further showcase his desperation, Nicholas Ukachukwu and his cronies forged the stamp and signature of the National Organizing Secretary of the PDP and used such to obtain a court injunction under false pretense (See Exhibit Appendix 1).In a letter addressed to Comrade Tony Nwoye(See Exhibit Appendix II),the National Organizing Secretary of the PDP,Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha wrote that Nicholas Ukachukwu falsified both his signature and his office stamp and used same to secure a court injunction at Port-Harcourt, a criminal offence that is punishable under the law.

In a letter addressed to the Deputy Inspector General of Police dated 16th Sept,2013 (See Exhibit Appendix III) forwarded to the DIG by DCP Murtala from the office of the Inspector General of Police asking the DIG to take appropriate actions on the allegation of forgery against Nicholas Ukachukwu (I am yet to understand why Mr. Ukachukwu has not been picked up by the Nigerian Police for forgery and impersonation).A petition for the arrest and prosecution of Nicholas Ukachukwu over forgery, impersonation and fraudulent act was forwarded to the Nigerian Police by a team of Lawyers from the PDP (See Exhibit Appendix IV,V and VI).This is a man that wants to be Governor of Anambra State, a man that have been guests of the EFCC,the Nigerian Police etc. severally over the past couple of years on cases ranging from Embezzlement,Looting,Accessasory to various crimes etc. A man who has been on investigation by the EFCC over a dangerous looting of Nassarawa state and Bayelsa state. This is the same man that wants to govern Anambra State. IMPOSSIBLE.....IT IS LIBERTY OR DEATH
Nicholas Ukachukwu in a desperate bid to obtain judgment against Comrade Tony Nwoye altered PDP guidelines for primary election, 2010 by removing clauses 50(f) of part IV contained in pages 31 and 32, being clauses that are against him and his case and used such as exhibit in his affidavit under oath (act of forgery and perjury) lying under oath to obtain an interim order of injunction restraining INEC from accepting the nomination forms of Comrade Tony Nwoye

I voted at the PDP Congress where Comrade Tony Nwoye scored 498 votes against ukachukwu’s distant 352 votes. He lost out and now he wants to be declared PDP Candidate. What a shame! This same Nicholas Ukachukwu and his Friend Senator Andy Uba have been fighting to take away the mandate given to Comrade Tony Nwoye by the people of Anambra State. They have been gallivanting from courts to courts. Very soon, we shall see them at the ECOWAS court.Nicholas Ukachukwu and his crony Senator Andy Uba formed a league with the Baraje led New PDP boosting that soon they will remove Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and install their stooge Baraje as the substantive Chairman of the PDP.Few days ago, after the grand reception of Comrade Tony Nwoye and Prince Ken Emekayi by the state PDP Stake-holders where the party pledged support for Bamanga Tukur and Dr Goodluck Jonathan, Nicholas Ukachukwu and Andy Uba quickly sent their foot soldiers across the wards assuring them that Goodluck Jonathan will soon be forced to step down from the 2015 contest while Bamanga Tukur will be forced to resign and Nicholas Ukachukwu declared the PDP Candidate of the party, WHAT AN ILLUSION

It has therefore become clear that Nicholas Ukachukwu is fighting Anambra State because of Comrade Tony Nwoyes support for Goodluck Jonathan.Mr Ukachukwu we will defeat you!

Those that the gods want to destroy they first make mad.Nicholas Ukachukwu is waging a dangerous political warfare against the people of Anambra State. He has started chanting Political battle songs from Port-Harcourt and we say, LET IT COME

In a letter addressed to the Deputy Inspector General of Police dated 16th Sept,2013 (See Exhibit Appendix III) forwarded to the DIG by DCP Murtala from the office of the Inspector General of Police asking the DIG to take appropriate actions on the allegation of forgery against Nicholas Ukachukwu (I am yet to understand why Mr. Ukachukwu has not been picked up by the Nigerian Police for forgery and impersonation).A petition for the arrest and prosecution of Nicholas Ukachukwu over forgery, impersonation and fraudulent act was forwarded to the Nigerian Police by a team of Lawyers from the PDP (See Exhibit Appendix IV,V and VI).This is a man that wants to be Governor of Anambra State, a man that have been guests of the EFCC,the Nigerian Police etc. severally over the past couple of years on cases ranging from Embezzlement,Looting,Accessasory to various crimes etc. A man who has been on investigation by the EFCC over a dangerous looting of Nassarawa state and Bayelsa state. This is the same man that wants to govern Anambra State. IMPOSSIBLE.....IT IS LIBERTY OR DEATH
Nicholas Ukachukwu in a desperate bid to obtain judgment against Comrade Tony Nwoye altered PDP guidelines for primary election, 2010 by removing clauses 50(f) of part IV contained in pages 31 and 32, being clauses that are against him and his case and used such as exhibit in his affidavit under oath (act of forgery and perjury) lying under oath to obtain an interim order of injunction restraining INEC from accepting the nomination forms of Comrade Tony Nwoye

I voted at the PDP Congress where Comrade Tony Nwoye scored 498 votes against ukachukwu’s distant 352 votes. He lost out and now he wants to be declared PDP Candidate. What a shame! This same Nicholas Ukachukwu and his Friend Senator Andy Uba have been fighting to take away the mandate given to Comrade Tony Nwoye by the people of Anambra State. They have been gallivanting from courts to courts. Supporters of Comrade Tony Nwoye, the factional candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the November 2013 Anambra governorship election have reacted to the surprised removal of Nwoye’s name in the list of candidates published by INEC, Monday.

Though there was clear disappointment among citizens of the state and especially supporters of Nwoye over the removal, Nwoye’s campaign organization in a press briefing on Wednesday said their candidate would bounce back.

The Director General of Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation, Prince Ossy Ezenwa told journalists in his campaign office that the fault of the removal did not lie with the electoral body, INEC, as they were merely obeying a court order.

Ezenwa said that Nwoye had directed his followers not to be disappointed but to keep hope alive as they were sure that at the end of the day, he would still fly the party’s flag for the election.

“Our candidate has asked us to tell his supporters that there is no cause to be disappointed as our legal team is brainstorming on the issue now and will come up with a position soon. This is a great opportunity to express our gratitude to our supporters who have continued to be with us.

“Nwoye may be a young man but he is cast in the mold of Adams Oshiomhole, as he is also a comrade himself, and as well a dogged fighter”, Ezenwa said.

Ezenwa noted that the matter was still under appeal, as there were processes and procedure for determination of forgery cases, the allegation that has been made against Nwoye.


He insisted that Nwoye was duly screened and certified fit for the election, and that he was not involved in any forgery of documents.

Meanwhile, around Anambra State, the news of the substitution of Nwoye and Senator Andy Uba’s name for Nicholas Ukachukwu by the INEC caused what could best be described as grief.

The matter was discussed in groups with many expressing surprise at the sudden turn of event in the party.

A community leader and former councilor in Anambra State, Hon Christopher Nwachukwu said no one in the party is happy with the removal of Nwoye’s name from the list of candidates.

He said the people of the state especially youths were pleased with the emergence of Nwoye, and anything short of him would not be good for youths of the state.

Another respondent, Mr Ekene Azuka, a student union activist said he was sure that since the matter was still in court, all hope was not lost as the court had the final verdict in the matter.

He said that he was not in doubt that soon the candidacy which he believed belonged to Nwoye, who according to him, won a free and fair primary election would be included in the list.

The factional chairman of the party, Prince Ken Emeakayi when contacted said he was in a meeting and would brief our correspondent on the matter but never called back.

ANAMBRA GOES AGOG AS THUNDEROUS CROWD WELCOMES COMRADE TONY NWOYE

It was carnival-like arena yesterday at Amansea, the sleepy boundary town between Anambra and Enugu state when Comrade Tony Nwoye, the gubernatorial candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming election made triumphant entry into the state.

The crowd who came out en-masse to welcome the man of the moment was such that has never been witnessed in the state in recent times and can only be second to the crowd during the burial of late Igbo eternal leader Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu. Vehicular movement was obstructed along the ever busy Enugu – Onitsha Express way and the attendant trafic hold-up stretches throughout the Awka capital city and its environs..

After managing his way through the crowd, at about 2pm, Tony Nwoye mounted the stage with his running mate Dr Amanchukwu Ezike and Ken Emeakayi, the state PDP leader, he told the surging crowd that he has decided to sacrifice his time and resources in order to offer the kind of leadership Ndi-Anambra need for a positive development of our state.” He said that its time to give governance back to the people (grassroots) and that the time of deceits which had been the hallmark of governance in the last 8 years of APGA led government in the State. His speech was often
interrupted by the crowd who rent the air with “we want Tony Tony Nwoye.

In his speech, the Anambra state PDP leader said that Anambra state is a
traditional PDP state and that they should not fail to take back their
rightful place in the governance of the state. He enjoined them to eschew
bitterness and all forms of political infighting which could be
detrimental to the victory of the party in the forthcoming election.
Continuing , he noted that families do have challenges, and PDP as a
family may sometimes have little differences which can be always resolved
internally before the election

In case we have not noticed, superior arguments and ideology have prevailed over mediocrity and political jingoism in Anambra state and in 2013, we have changed the rules of this game. God has given us victory in Anambra state today and is sending us a message that this battle belongs to him.

Just Yesterday, Nicholas Ukachukwu in a desperate bid to stop Comrade Tony Nwoye from contesting in this year’s election failed again at Port-Harcourt and Tony Nwoye became the candidate of the PDP in Anambra State

We have defeated the detractors of Anambra State and we are sending a strong message to the nation, to all progressives and to our allies in Anambra State and beyond that the days of Political intimidation, Political Jingoism and deceits are long gone in Anambra State

Text of a speech delivered by Pharm Ikeagwuonwu Klinsmann at a forum organized by Anambra PDP Leadership Forum at Awka on the 17th of Sept,2013

I am proud to be nominated as your guest speaker today at this occasion of your forum on GOOD GOVERNANCE AND 2013 GENERAL ELECTION IN ANAMBRA STATE. I wouldn’t have been here today as your guest speaker if the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the ward delegates had not taken a bold step in organizing a free and fair congress where Comrade Tony Nwoye was elected as the Candidate of the party on the 24th of August, 2013.

Earlier this evening, I received a phone call on the rumors making round and being sponsored by some detractors of the party that Comrade Tony Nwoye is no longer the candidate of the PDP.I wish to assure you that Comrade Tony Nwoye is and still remains the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra State. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has already issued Comrade Tony Nwoye an acknowledgement letter accepting his nomination which also indicates that his name has been entered by INEC as the authentic candidate of the party in Anambra state. Please disregard this rumor as we have more pressing issues to discuss here today

I wish to thank President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, the National Working Committee of the PDP and all of you here today for keeping faith with our great party and keeping faith with our candidate Comrade Tony Nwoye

In a few days from today, the National Executive Council of PDP and a few representatives will be coming to Anambra state to kick-start the campaign of Comrade Tony Nwoye for the Governorship of Anambra State
Few days ago, I met with a group of people from ANAMBRA JUSTIC GROUP, working independently to ensure that our candidate Comrade Tony Nwoye emerges successfully at the Governorship election holding on the 16th of Noveber, 2013.In their midst stood a young widow who voiced a concern that her monthly salary was never enough to care for her family needs let alone pay for the school fees of her two daughters. I did promise her that Social Security and free education shall form the basis of Comrade Tony Nwoye’s Policy as soon as a PDP led government is sworn in by 2014

ARE YOU READY TO TAKE BACK ANAMBRA STATE?
Anambra state has suffered over the years through failed leadership. Lack of security and affordable health care, lack of social security, disregard to the pressing problems of free education and other myriads of problems that have confronted us are visible indicators that the present administration in the state has lost touch with reality and these amongst others explains the need to send this present government packing on the 16th of Nov, 2013
If there are Politicians in Nigeria and elsewhere who still think it is ethically and morally right to neglect polices in governance aimed at empowerment of those governed and still thinks such to be fair and justified….LET THEM COME TO ANAMBRA STATE
If there are people across the country who still support politics of failed policies and deceits and still think that we as a people can still make progress….LET THEM COME TO ANAMBRA STATE
If there are people who think it is politically correct and justified for a person or group of persons to hold an entire state to ransom through the instrumentality of court actions aimed at destabilizing the polity or smuggling themselves into government house through the window without the due process of campaigns and regards to the grass roots……….THEY CAN BE MY GUEST, LET THEM COME TO ANAMBRA STATE
If there are people who still think that leadership doesn’t matter and politics is not for the welfare of the people and still support a leadership that benefits only a limited few in a society…KA HA BIA ANAMBRA STATE (Let them come to Anambra State)
It is not just governance that we are looking for in this year’s election, we are looking for leadership that will make a difference in Anambra State. We are looking for a comrade leadership that will allow the voices of the people to be heared, the kind of leadership that will not only listen to the grass-root but also incorporate the opinion of the grass-root as an integral policy in governance and policy decisions in the State. The emergency of Comrade Tony Nwoye is not just an end but a means of achieving this end which is to take back Anambra State and return power to the grass-root

I will like to tell us the story of Tony Okechuku Nwoye.At the start of this Campaign, Comrade Nwoye was not the likely candidate to emerge. His campaign was not hatched at Abuja nor was heralded by the media houses and till today, there is no expensive bill board with the face of Comrade Tony Nwoye in Anambra state. Even when the aspirants from PDP were called for a meeting at Abuja his name was deliberately omitted as he was considered not being a factor in the election as he has no fleet of cars or mobile policemen following him across the state. Unlike other aspirants, Tony’s campaign was hatched at a humble meeting organized by the working class and a few courageous men and women from across the state at his home town Nsugbe who prayed for him and pledged their support for his campaigns. Through hard work, prayers, sacrifices, grace of God and the support of the grass-root, he emerged successfully as the PDP candidate in Anambra State

The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally upon the welfare of all of us. Our families have paid the price of bad governance. We are all victims of bad governance and poor economic policies. We are all victims of failed leadership, of poor wages and lack of jobs, of insecurity and lack of social security. Tony Nwoye is in this race to restore confidence in leadership, to renew that promise that through hardwork, sincerity, honesty and transparency, there is no limit to what is achievable in Anambra State

More Scary is the growing economic inequality and inequity that is tearing our state apart. Few years ago, the economic gap between families in Anambra state was marginal but in 2013, the margin has grown even bigger. We need to close this gap, we need to create jobs, employment opportunities, formulate empowerment policies especially for the young people. We need to create loan acquisition opportunities for people who are qualified, create economic empowerment for people to make a living to support their families and their communities. WE MUST GIVE BACK TO THE PEOPLE OF ANAMBRA WHOM WE HAVE TAKEN SO MUCH FROM

If you are one of those families that have lost faith in governance or seems to have lost hope for the future especially as it concerns your children (I have visited one last week), I say to you today that CHANGE HAS COME TO ANAMBRA STATE
If you are a hard working student from a middle class family worried about the means to pay your tuition as there are no Scholarships from our state government, I say to you today, wipe away your tears as a new age is about to begin in Anambra state

If you are a son or daughter of this great state, who finding no job opportunities in the state as a result of misplacement of priorities by the APGA led administration in the State, migrates within your legitimate rights as a Nigerian citizen to Lagos state or elsewhere and gets deported to Onitsha by the APC led instruments and their clones in this state,calling you destitute or other inhuman names, I say to you today, we love you all, come back to Anambra state, we believe in shared prosperity of all Anambrarians,Comrade Tony Nwoye’s administration will give you jobs

When by the grace of God and with your support, Comrade Tony Nwoye becomes the Governor of Anambra State as he will be on the 24th of November, the entrance to the Government house will no longer be a revolving door for only the well connected but a door of opportunity to the well qualified, for Men, Women and also the young people with ideas to serve their government and move Anambra state forward

In conclusion, I must say that this road which we have taken today to restore hope to the people of this great state shall not be smooth. A lot of us may be called names or even threatened but I tell you today that I am more hopeful that we shall overcome. For a coin to have two faces and for every negative index to have a positive reciprocal, then every problem must have an expiry date and in 2013 Comrade Tony Nwoye will retire and expel bad governance and failed leadership in Anambra state and WE SHALL OVERCOME
Once again, I wish to again confirm that Comrade Tony Nwoye whom you all voted for during the state congress is still the candidate of our great party PDP and has been recognized as such by INEC

I hope to meet you once again at the Amansea Junction on the 20th of September, 2013 when we shall receive Comrade Tony Nwoye and the National Working Committee of PDP as we flag off this campaign to restore Anambra State back to her glorious days

PDP CANDIDATE IS TONY NWOYE NOT ANDY UBA

The attention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the good of Anambra State have been drawn to the purported rumor currently circulating across the state that a Federal High court in Port-Harcourt declared Senator Andy Uba as the new PDP Candidate of the Peoples democratic Party in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
Let us get the facts right, Senator Andy Uba has been suspended by the National Working Committee of the PDP and a High court in Abuja upheld the Suspension of Senator Andy Uba, Chris Uba, Ejike Oguebego and three others on the ground that these individuals defrauded the Party by printing fake delegate cards which they used to organize an illegal congress in Anambra on the 24th of August, 2013. While the Leadership of the party affirmed that the purported congress which they claimed to have organized remains ILLEGAL, NULL AND VOID…See details on www.peoplesdemocraticparty.net

Therefore, It will be unfortunate for Andy Uba who is and remains suspended from PDP to champion media sympathy as he is prone to over these years to garner artificial support on the pages of newspapers and the online media with an intention of misinforming the good people of Anambra State.

Let us get the facts right again. Last month, Senator Andy Uba approached a Federal High Court in Port- Harcourt, praying the court to declare him as the PDP Candidate of Anambra state and exactly Seven days ago, the same court vacated its order which it has earlier given compelling INEC and the PDP to recognize Andy Uba as the candidate of the Party in Anambra state. The Court threw Andy Uba’s plea to the gutters and asked him to go and work with Comrade Tony Nwoye who was the authentic Candidate that emerged at the Congress organized by the National Working Committee of the PDP

Senator Uba in his usual desperate moves asked to be joined in a suit by Ejike Oguebego obtained at a Federal High Court in Port-Harcourt where he filed a motion asking the Court to recognize him Ejike Oguebego as the PDP Chairman of Anambra State against Ken Emekayi. The Matter before the court was for THE RECOGNITION OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PARTY IN THE STATE AND NOT THE CANDIDATE OF THE PARTY AS A FEDERAL HIGH COURT IN ABUJA HAD ALREADY AFFIRMED COMRADE TONY NWOYE AS THE CANDIDATE OF THE PARTY IN ANAMBRA STATE.

In its judgment today, the court asked Ken Emekayi to maintain a Status quo while recognizing Ejike Oguebego as the Chairman of the Party in Anambra State. In a deliberate action, Senator Andy Uba and his followers started raising false reports and rumors that they have been declared the Candidate of the party in the state. Which Court gave them such rulings?

WE MUST GET IT RIGHT. Be not deceived; let us have a look at the Guidelines in Nigerian Electoral Act.
Electoral Act 2010(As Amended 29th December 2010) stipulates as follows
Nomination of Candidates by parties

Section 87 sub-section 1 stipulates that a political Party seeking to nominate a candidate for election under the act shall hold primaries for aspirants in all elective positions
Sub section 2 stipulates that for the nomination of candidates by political parties for the various elective positions shall be by direct or indirect primaries

In the case of Anambra State, the National Working Committee of the party adopted Indirect Primary
The electoral Act went on to stipulate in Section 87 sub-section 4 that for indirect Primary, a political party that adopts Indirect Primary for the choice of its candidate shall adopt the procedures outlined below
(b) In the case of nominations for the position of Governorship candidate political party shall, where they intend to sponsor candidates,
(i) Hold special congress in each of the Local Government Area of the state with delegates voting for each of the aspirant at the congress to be held at designated centers on specific dates
(ii) The aspirant with the highest number of votes at the end of the voting at the Governorship primary shall be declared the winner of the primaries of the party and the aspirant name shall be forwarded to the commission as the candidate of the party for the particular state
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the National Working Committee (NWC), followed all these steps before, during and after the Congress, complied with the above sections of our country’s Electoral Act and eventually submitted the name of Comrade Tony Nwoye, the eventual winner of the Congress to INEC as stipulated by the Electoral act

WE MUST GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT. There was no where it was written in the PDP Constitution that it is the prerogative of the State Chairman to organize a Governorship Primary as Senator Andy Uba, Chris Uba and their likes in their deceitful and jingoist nature are busy dispensing to the public in such a deceitful manner

THE ORGAN THAT ORGANISES A GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY IN ANY STATE ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS THE NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE OF THE PDP WHICH PRODUCED COMRADE TONY NWOYE ON THE 24TH OF AUGUST,2013 AND NOT STATE EXECUTIVES…Be not be deceived by the Uba brothers antics
The Court ruling of today was for the recognition of Ejike Oguebego and not Andy Uba.

The embattled Senator who failed to secure the ticket of PDP as the Court and NWC of PDP affirmed Comrade Tony Nwoye as the party flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra State has turned to UPP to get the party ticket to contest the election

The meeting which was held early this week has the Senators younger Brother Chris Uba and the Founder of the Party chief Chekwas Okorie in attendance.

For Senator Uba to be substituted as the candidate of the party,UPP is demanding 1.3 Billion from the Uba camp whereas the Senator is bidding for 100 Million.Amongst other requirements demanded from UPP includes

1.That Andy Uba should pay a total of 1.3 Billion Naira

Few days ago, Anambra League of Professionals and the Elders Forum alerted the nation of the ploy by Senator Andy Uba and his cronies to coerce the Presidency to replace the name of the duly elected PDP Gubernatorial candidate in Anambra State with his name.That mission failed as he was reminded by the members of the National working Committe present at the time he arrived the Presidency that he remains suspended from the Party
In his desperation,he ran to a top female Staff of INEC who promised to smuggle in his name as the PDP Candidate of Anambra state in the event of securing a court injunction.The ploy to use the husband of the INEC Staff failed as the woman refused on the grounds that using her husband to grant Andy Uba the injunction will raise dust.
In a last minute desperation,Senator Andy Uba ran back to Port Harcourt where he was earlier granted an injuction last month only for the said injunction to be vacated last week.This time,Andy Uba has found succor with a Judge of the High Court
As at the time of exposing this plot,Senator Andy Uba,Chris Uba and Ejike Oguebego,the trio that were suspended by the PDP some weeks ago will be counting the sum of three hundred million Naira Bribe money at Justice Hyeladzira Nganjiwa Office requesting to be granted a court Injunction that will enable INEC to smuggled in his name as the PDP Candidate of Anambra State.While in Awka the cronies of the Uba brothers are collecting voters cards from people to fill in Nomination form for Senator Uba who gave them assurnces that he will secure an Injunction his week
Senator Andy Uba who has previously deposited an undisclosed amount of money with Justice Hyeladzira Nganjiwa to be granted the injunction with suit number HSC/PH/213/2013 was given an assurance that he will be granted an injunction until few days ago when the said justice asked them to collect back their money.Senator Andy Uba and Chris Uba then resorted to blackmail and issued series of threats to expose the Judge should the injuction be denied
We advice Justice Nganjiwa to stay away from Andy Uba who has been going from court to court to ridicule the judiciary as he did in the past that led to the sack of Justice Egbo Egbo of federal high Court, Justice Nnaji of Enugu, Justice Opene and host of other Judges that lost their jobs because of him.

Andy Uba’s desperation for power in Anambra State is seriously becoming a national insult and a slap on the generality of Nigerians. Since the past thirteen years, Senator Nnamdi Uba and his erstwhile brother Chris Uba out of their selfish dispositions have tried all their possible best to derail the peace and Progress of Anambra State. In his world of delusion, Andy Uba booked an appointment to see the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan with a purported 40 man delegation of praise singers to coerce the Presidency to remove the name of the duly elected PDP Candidate in the State and replace with his name as the PDP Candidate of Anambra state.

A man who was got a Governorship Aspirant Form from the National Working Committee (NWC) of PDP, went through the Screening organised by the NWC and then ran away from the same NWC that gave him forms and screened him, only to organised his own Kangaroo Primary where he declared himself a winner and ran to far away Port-Harcourt to get a Court injunction to force INEC to accept him as the PDP candidate against another candidate elected by more than nine hundred PDP delegates and stakeholders from across Anambra state in a popular election that was free and fair.The Court of course vacated his case few days ago and asked him to support Comrade Tony Nwoye that was duly elected at the Party organised Primary

Who does Andy Ubah want to deceive again in 2013?.As of the time of writing this report, Senator Andy Uba will be getting ready to meet President Goodluck Jonathan to convince him to cancel the result of the PDP Governorship Primary organised at Awka on the 24th of August 2013 and declare him Andy Uba as the PDP Candidate of Anambra State.TUFIAKWA!!!

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who has sworn to make Nigeria ungovernable for President Goodluck Jonathan should the latter not impose Andy Uba on the people of Anambra State should please leave Anambra State alone. Uba’s media strategy has also led him to his funding an online publication called ogenereports.com in October 9th 2007, edited by Ikenna Ellis-Ezenekwe, a former Uba critic who co-wrote the story about Uba’s fake degrees with Omoyele Sowore on Saharareporters.com.When his deceptions was unmasked, it led to the collapse of the website and changed to Ukpaka reports which its sole media aim was to continually and fraudulently defraud Nigerians with Andy Uba’s Propaganda strategies. The strategies are at least working at the moment, which explains his recent moves to invade the Presidency in a short while with a retinue of Praise-singers and expired Politicians in the likes of him and his delusional street gangster Esulu Chris Uba

NICHOLAS UKACHUKWU AND HIS DECEITS.ANAMBRA DESERVES TO KNOW THE TRUTH…

If we continue to teach our children about tolerance and intolerance instead of good and evil, we may end up with tolerance of evil. The excesses of Mr Nicholas Ukachukwu and his cronies has reached a crescendo of intolerance, the time has come for the people of Anambra state to know the truth

The governorship of Anambra state is not for sale and neither is it for the highest bidder. Since the past ten years, the state has witnessed series of democratic trials, disruptions and political backwardness and a particular name been consistently implicated in most of these political aberrations and that name is Nicholas Ukachukwu.Are we going to run away from Anambra state because of the like of Ukachukwu, God forbid!!!

The Anambra state PDP Governorship primary that held on the 24th of August 2013 has been adjudged as the freest and fairest since the inception of this democratic dispensation. The organisation, openness, fairness, decorum and political maturity exhibited by both aspirants and delegates is still unprecedented in the state and yet, Mr Ukachukwu Nicholas, who contested and lost in the presence of NTA and all delegates from across the state has not lost sleep to overturn the result of the primary for his selfish ends

Few days ago, this same individual went to Court to get an ex parte injunction restraining PDP from accepting the result of the primary without putting Tony Nwoye or INEC on Notice, alleging and cooking up a lot of deceitful lies to coerce the National Working Committee of PDP from submitting the name of the eventual winner of the primary Comrade Tony Nwoye to INEC. Having noticed that his manipulative court injunction came late as NWC has already submitted Comrade Tony Nwoye`s name to INEC, he made a sudden u-turn and started bribing the press to instigate that Tony Nwoye whose tax certificate is up to date has been forged. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

What a suicidal desperado for a man who has been indicted and investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in the looting of Taraba, Nassarawa and Bayelsa States with his construction company SNECOU GROUP OF COMPANIES LIMITED. Few months ago, he was invited again by the EFCC to explain his roles in the diversion of funds, embezzlement, looting, fake contract and accessory to financial crimes against Bayelsa state government perpetrated by his company to the tune of more than two Billion Naira.Does he want to use Anambra state money to settle his debts?

This of course makes perfect sense the motives behind this desperation to win the Governorship of Anambra state by any means necessary. Anambrarians cannot be deceived once again. It was this same Nicholas Ukachukwu that escaped lynching few years ago when he and his cronies were caught in a fraud he midwifed only for him to flee to Borno State and out of the blues proclaimed himself an Evangelist, what a deceit.

It was this same Ukachukwu that bribed and paid hotel accommodations for delegates during the primary only for them to vote him out at the exercise. It was this same Ukachukwu that imported thugs from Enugu that threw stones at Police men and tried to force themselves inside at women development center only for them to be resisted. It was this same Nicholas Ukachukwu that tried to manipulate the result of the delegate primary and ended up burning some cars belonging to some delegates at Ayamelum.It was this same Nicholas that printed fake voters cards, printed fake delegates cards and intimidated delegates and party leaders at the Primary and yet the delegates stood their grounds and voted him out

We cannot run away from Anambra State because of Nicholas Ukachukwu.PDP does not want him and Anambra State does not want him either. Must he be a Governor through the instrumentality of force and deceits?

WHAT KIND OF A GOVERNOR NICHOLAS UKACHUKWU WILL MAKE
Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu is not a new face in Anambra politics and in Nigeria as a whole. Since 1999 he has been on the political scene vying for one position or the other. He had been outwitted a number of times for the senatorial and governorship seats by both Senator Ugochukwu Uba (in 2003) and Andy (in 2007 and 2011). In 2007, he was forced to leave the PDP to run the governorship on the platform of the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) when it was clear that the PDP ticket had irreversibly been grabbed by Andy Uba. Again in 2010, he was among the numerous aspirants dumped by the party in favour of the ex-CBN boss, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo that saw him contest the race under Hope Democratic Party (HDP)
In Anambra, it is widely believed that his consistency on the political scene is borne out of his unquenching thirst for power, some argue that his consistent participation is mainly due to business interest where he uses his political structure to pursue government contracts and seek external donation.
The persistent question that begs for answer is what kind of Legislator or Governor would our dear Prince make if he has or would be given the opportunity in the near future?
The competence of a candidate is a function of his previous perfomance in any capacity or assigned duty he finds himself, while we may not predict with certainty what a candidate will do while in office, we may, at least, in view of his antecedents be guided in predicting what he can or cannot do while in office. Basically, future forecast both in Economics and Politics as well is based on the study of past occurencies. Example abound for a man who has been Special Adviser to President such that he wields big influence, but could not attract not even a borehole in his hometown for 8years, what more could such a man do when elected a Governor. A popular Igbo saying has it that ‘ana esi n isi ahuru ama uto nsi’ it is from the smell of a fart that we predict the smell of feaces
Now, looking at the antecedents of Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and his untiring efforts at grabbing power at all cost, one wonders what he wants to achieve.
This is a man who is rumored to be amongst a village gang that went for robbery operation in Orsumenyi neigbouring town and were caught, but was spared because he was recognised as ’nwadiala’ in a neigbouring community. Evidently, Ukachukwu still bear a scar in his leg from an injury rumored to be gun injury from the robbery incidence. After the incidence he fled to the Northern part of the country and came back claiming to be a born again as he tagged himself ‘ Evergenlist Nicholas Ukachukwu’
On the home front, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and his family have been the main agents of confusion in the leadership crisis rocking the community, no fewer than three prominent members of the community were shot dead by assassins, following a misunderstanding within the leadership of the Town Union. Fanning the embers of the crisis is the singular action of Nicholas Ukachukwu who in 2003 attempted to register his community with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and received a Certifacte of Registration marked 6638 and obtained an affidavit mandating every member of the commuity to belong to his church. An impossible mission in a community, which is predominatly multi demnomination with Catholics in higher numbers. Featured top most is the assasiantion of the former President of Orsumenyi Develompment Union (ODU), Mr CLC Akunedozie in which Ukachukwu was figured as having masterminded.
Ukachukwu was fingered in the killing of CLC Akunedozie as the two police men attached to the former ODU president were ferried away in a bus with inscription ‘Ikuku Oma Solidariy Forum’ in the same direction as the assasisns as stated in a police statement by Oguata.
For a man without a political power to exhibit such wickedness and breach of law, what happens when he beomes a Senator or a Governor?
Nnewi South, his primary constituency is known to always have significant problems and security breaches faced by indigenes and the electorate, in carrying out their civic duties of voting during each Election period from Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikuku oma) who unleash untold violence on his known and perceived political opponents in the area. He sees himself as the political mini god in Nnewi South where his words must be heard and obeyed at all cost.
For example, Mr. Ukachukwu was a Governorship Candidate for Hope Democratic Party during the February 2010 Governorship Elections in Anambra. On April 6th 2010 Governorship Election in Anambra, Mr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (ikukuoma) in the presence of armed mobile Police men ordered some thugs to beat up one Dr. Ifedi okwenna – a former Anambra State Commissioner for Environment without any provocation or cause.
On Same day, Mr. Ukachukwu went to the neighboring town of Ezinifite to rig election but was resisted by Hon. Egwuoyibo Okoye( a member Anambra state House of Assembly) who was then the Local Government campaign Coordinator for the PDP. He ordered his thugs to deal ruthlessly with him, which they did in the presence of armed mobile policemen also.
There are many cases of individuals who were inflicted with either machete cuts or beaten to stupor by Ikukuoma and his thugs during the last gubernatorial election and these cases were reported to the police without any action taken.
One wonders what kind of Governor Mr. Nicholas Ukachukwu would make when he becomes the Chief Security Officer of the state.
Now outside the state, it is a naked and verifiable truth that Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has been involved in some many scam and dirty deals with Governors of Nasarawa and Bayelsa States.
In 2010 the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged to court Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and 12 others for allegedly using unregistered companies to loot a sum of N5.6 billion belonging to Nasarawa State Government through unexecuted contracts.

Detailing the alleged crime in charge sheet no FHC/LF/CR/8/2010, at the Federal High Court in Lafia, the commission claimed that Ukachukwu collected various sums of money from the Nasarawa State Government for contracts, which he failed to execute.
Some of the counts in the charge read: “that you Nicholas Ukachukwu whilst being the chairman of SNECOU Group, a non registered company on or about June 5, 2003 in Lafia, Nasarawa within the jurisdiction of this honourable court obtained contract under the name of Henry and Nick Associate Company Limited to the tune of N589, 611,359 (Five hundred and eighty nine million six hundred and eleven thousand three hundred and fifty nine naira) obtained the said sum from Nasarawa State Government without executing the contract and in breach of the agreement thereto, thereby committed an offence of Economic and Financial Crimes (looting) punishable under Section 18 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Establishment Act:

“That you Nicholas Ukachukwu whilst being the chairman of SNECOU Group, a non registered company on or about August 8, 2005, in Lafia, Nasarawa within the jurisdiction of this honourable court obtained contract under the name of Henry and Nick Associate Company Limited to the tune of N2,151,680,359.37 (Two billion, one hundred and fifty one million six hundred and eighty thousand three hundred and fifty-nine naira, thirty-seven kobo) and obtained the said sum from Nasarawa State Government without executing the contract and in breach of the agreement thereto, thereby committed an offence of Economic and Financial Crimes (looting) punishable under Section 18 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Establishment Act.
Also, since 2008, the Governemnt of Bayelsa State led by Timipre Sylva used Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu's construction company [SNECOU Group of Companies Limited] to launder N18billion [N17,942,168,996,90] of Bayelsa State money under the guise of hospital contract award.
On December 3, 2008, the Government of Bayelsa State through the Ministry of Health entered into a contractual agreement with SNECOU Group of Companies Limited for the construction of Opolo Cottage Hospital, construction and interior decoration of the re-designed 500-bed hospital to a teaching hospital - and the supply, installation of medical equipment and furnishing and the training of equipment usage. The contract was awarded for the warping sum of N17, 942,168,996,90.
Particularly, N1, 223,574,204.50 was for the construction of Opolo Cottage Hospital, N5,649,562,800.00 for the construction and interior decoration of the re-designed 500-bed hospital to a teaching hospital, and N11,069,031,992.40 for the supply and installation of medical equipment and furnishing and training of equipment usage. A time of completion was pegged at 12months with a grace period of 90days. The contract project agreement was signed by the commissioner for health [Dr. Eruani Azibapu Godbless], Permanent Secretary for health ministry [Deacon Fortune Sorgwe], commissioner for finance [Dr. Silva Opuala-Charles], and the CEO/Chairman SNECOU Group of Companies [Owelle] Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu. Both The Nasarawa and bayelsa state cases are still under investigation by the EFCC and still pending in the Court of Law.
Obvioulsy, Nicholas Ukachukwu has been collecting an irrevocable statutory payment order of 200million naira every month from the coffers of Bayelsa Governemnt for unexisting and unexecuted projects untill the emergence of Governeor Dickson who stopped it.
In September, 2012, Snecou Group of Companies was contracted by the Ghana Government to construct 4000 houses at the outrage cost of $200million, and a Parliamentary approval sought. However, a top-notch policy advocacy grouping, Imani Ghana raised an objection to the deal, especially against the backdrop of the shadowy background of the chairman of the Snecou Group of Companies, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.
According to Imani, the report of the Joint Committee on Finance and Works & Housing, which referred to a Supplier's Credit Agreement between the Government of Ghana and the corruption-enveloped Snecou Group of Companies, as well as details of the project, was the same instrument used to design the ill-fated STX deal. In supporting its opposition to the bid, the group furher observed by the terms of the deal, Snecou would raise $77.3 million for the construction of 1000 houses for the police and military as government settled the emanating debt, it wondered why a company that 'in October 2010, the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of the Republic of Nigeria indicted its Chairman, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, of using four of his companies to loot $40 million of public funds belonging to the State of Nasarawa. The 171-count charge (charge sheet - FHC/LF/CR/8/2010) preferred against Prince Ukachukwu in the Federal High Court in Lafia contains several references to Snecou. The EFCC accused Snecou and its Chairman of collecting huge sums of money from the state for various projects and failing to execute. In total, $80 million of embezzled funds were evidenced in the report.' would be used to execute a project in Ghana.
From the foregoing antecedents, one need no further preview of the kind of governemnt that will be ran by Ukachukwu as the Governor of Anambra State if ever elected.
It would be a harvest of SNECOU kind of companies in Anambra where there will be award of virtual contracts, money laundering, political harrasment, intimdation, assasination, and whole lots of unaimaginable attrocities. For a man who is arrogant, full of himself and view self as a mini god to be given political power, it will amount to not only civilian dictatorship but also a tyranny that will make Guiness Book of Records.
Anambra and Anambrarians cannot elect a man that will glamourise vice and minimize virtue, one that will play down gentleness, manners and morals and play up rudeness, savagery and vice. At this point in our democratic history we cannot seek a man who will revert the state in to the barbaric era of ‘tooth and claw’ and increase the state vis- a-vis the countries’ ranking to the bottom of the Transparency Index.
