naptu2: The anticipation and expectation in that song is just out of this world. Every note is perfect. What makes it extra special is the fact that it is message music (the lyrics are perfect).
(I'm not going to post the chorus. I'll skip it)
Dun dun du dum Dun dun du dum
♫Here we come again, in another style. And this ah one is a rat race style. Here we come again it is not just another song. Rat race style is a crucial style.
We're coming live and direct, just to make you feel ire. Oh it's a Rastaman style eh, come make we listen to the lyrics.
They say I'm talking politics but I'm singing reality, for the suffering of the masses, so my brother I'm feeling so right.
Situation getting worse only the poor feel the pain, the fury falls on them, don't close your eyes to reality.♪
Chorus
This is my favourite part.
♫Oh what a bad situation! Only the rich and the strongest nations survive They devise evil things that their money could buy only the rich nations would live to see that the others would die.
They don't feel any guilty! They keep sending their guns for you to die! To make the world so hard, for no reason every season what a shameless race, Jah knows, where they really heading to.♪
Yes, I know you've heard it many times before, but I'll say it again. Peggy looks so much like Ruth Benemaisia!
There's a clip of the Koko Port Toxic Waste Scandal in this video (just before Victor sings, "They don't feel any guilty" )
I wish I had a video with better audio quality (this has VHS quality). You need to hear the bass and treble properly.
naptu2: A this a rat race style yeah, Them a fi make me suffer, In a them rat race style yeah, Them a fi make me suffer, In this a rat race style, yeah There's no hope for survival In a them rat race style yeah, Them a fi make we shiver.
Many people in the world, Are struggling for survival, Trying to earn a living, But the *** are just too strong
The rich keep getting richer, And poor are getting poorer Their life is getting harder And the tension is rising so high
Oh what a great tribulation (WATCH OUT!) You've got to get up and fight the survival battle! They keep sucking our blood, They make you **** fools They really wish to live To see that we have no strength (You better know now).
We know them a guilty They keep chaining underprivileged people Jah Jah will surely **** *** *** From this great tribulation The wicked prove too strong, But still, they all will die.
In them a rat race style yeah, There's no second and the third class citizens In them a rat race style yeah There's no second and the third **** In them a rat race style yeah, Only the fittest and the **** survive In this a rat race style yeah From this century to next century Them are running round round
Oh rat race! Oh rat race! Oh rat race! Oh hopelessness!
This has better audio quality, though it's not the original video (and it's a little slower).
There was a reggae music boom in Nigeria in the 1980s and 1990s. It was used as one of the vehicles in the fight against military rule in Nigeria and apartheid in South Africa. These are some of the biggest Nigerian reggae songs of the 1980s and 1990s. You can add more.
naptu2: It's just a pity that the audio quality is not perfect. The treble is too much and there's not enough bass. I really want you to hear the bass.
This song began the reggae protest era in Nigeria. The bass was fantastic and the lyrics were incredible.
"The people suffer power starvation, The people suffer social opression, Those who know it suffer deportation, There is. . . no justice in the City called Sodom.
Tell me, if you know the city called Sodom. Tell me, if you know the city called Sodom.
Sometimes people struggle without food, Elders *** *** ** in this great land, Youths too strong, our women surrender, Those who work hard * *** poor men, There is, corruption in the city called Sodom".

Pic 4) Oshoala and Patri. Patri is the stand in captain for FC Barcelona Femeni as their regular captain (and Ballon d'Or winner) Alexia Putellas suffered a long term injury.
Asisat Oshoala was the most valuable player of the match. You can see the MVPs of other matches that were played yesterday and the results of yesterday's matches. You can also see today's fixtures below.
Asisat Oshoala was the MVP as FC Barcelona Femeni defeated Christy Ucheibe's Benfica 9-0 at the Johan Cruyff Stadium in Barcelona on match day 1 of the group stage of the UEFA Women's Champions League yesterday night.
It wasn't even up to a minute into the match when Oshoala received the ball near the byline on the right side of the Benfica goal. She did very well to trap it, used her power to shield it from the Benfica defenders and turned and fired it across for captain Patri to tuck it into the goal. The scoreline was Barca 1-0 Benfica in the first minute.
Oshoala, Mariona and Anna Maria Crnogorcevic had chances to widen the scoreline, but Benfica keeper, Rute Costa, was able to keep them at bay.
Maria "Mapi" Leon played a long ball into the area, but it was just behind Oshoala, so she headed it backwards and Aitana Bonmati fired it into the net to give Barca a 2-0 lead in the 14th minute. It was Barcelona's 150th goal in Champions League history.
A long pass was played into the Benfica area and a defender mistakenly hit it back towards Oshoala who fired a rocket into the goal in the 34th minute. Barcelona took a 3-0 lead into the break and Oshoala already had 2 assists and a goal before halftime.
Mariona Caldentay scored a beautiful solo goal 5 minutes after the restart and the Johan Cruyff Stadium war rocking with the chants of Barcelona fans who were enjoying the feast of goals.
Mariona turned provider as she played a cross which was headed in by Crnogorcevic in the 65th minute to give Barca a 5-0 lead.
Brazilian star striker and joint Pichichi winner (with Oshoala), Geyse Ferreira, came on to replace Crnogorcevic in the 66th minute and she made an immediate impact. A good passing move by Barcelona, which involved Oshoala and Patri, saw Geyse latch onto a pass from Patri and fire the ball into the net. Barca now led 6-0 in the 67th minute.
Christy Ucheibe of Nigeria came on for Benfica in the 71st minute.
Geyse then turned provider, twisting and turning on the left flank before playing a cross which Claudia Pina directed into the goal. 7-0 (77 min).
Mariona stole the ball from a Benfica defender, dribbled through to the Benfica post and cut it back for Oshoala to stab the ball into the goal. 8-0 (83 min).
Geyse got her second in the 88th minute to round up the scoring and give Barca a 9-0 victory. This is the most goals that Barcelona has ever scored in a single Champions League match.
