Second, you need to take standardized tests and do pretty well. Have you got any research experience? It's also very important if you're looking for funding sort of.

I don't have a problem with the Tests..am gonna do well,I do have little research experience sir!!

Yes. You'll need to write the GRE and TOEFL examinations. As regards your GPA, if it's 3.17 of 4.00, you're a bit safe. If it's 3.17 of 5.0, you'll need to make up for it through acing your standardized exams, writing an excellent SOP, and getting good letters of recommendation.

Thank you dear. I will google up good schools on my spare time,I NEED more advice and directions and a few good universities y'all can suggest.

Am new on bs iraland and just signed up now cause my bestie just told me this is where I can get results..I have a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Abia State in Uturu,my CGPA is 3.15.I also have a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Lagos and my result is 3.17. I intend to pursue a doctorate degree(PHD)in Economics in the United States. Can someone PLEASE guild me through on how to go about it. I hear one may write exams,please I want to be guided so I don't make mistakes.God bless y'all.
