For a small country, Estonia has made a big impression on the global stage. The Baltic nation of just 1.3 million people has attracted the attention of world leaders, academics and venture capitalists thanks to its high-tech digital society. The numbers speak for themselves: Taxes are completed online in under 5 minutes, 99 percent of the Estonia's public services are available on the web 24 hours a day and nearly one-third of citizens vote via the internet. "We have a generation who has grown up knowing that you communicate digitally with your school because we have an e-school system, with your doctor because of e-health," Estonia's president Kersti Kaljulaid told CNBC in an interview in Tallinn in August. "You could say the Estonian government offers what normally only the private sector can offer to people." As governments around the world wrestle with challenges from technology including data collection, artificial intelligence and cyber threats, Estonia might offer a blueprint for how to build a digital society. "We did it straight away digitally" -Kersti Kaljulaid, President of Estonia When Estonia gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, the country embarked on a series of fast-track reforms to modernize the economy. From the start, it took a digital approach. "Estonia was a relatively poor country," Kaljulaid said. "Our public sector, our government and our civil servants wanted to offer our people good quality services. We did it straight away digitally because it was simply cheaper, easy." A key initiative started in education as Estonia pledged to put computers in every classroom and by 2000, every school in the country was online. The government also offered free computer training to 10 percent of the adult population. The effort helped raise the percentage of Estonians who use the internet from 29 percent in 2000 to 91 percent in 2016. You can say all you wish. This is one of those fake news being spread around by misleading elements. No such thing is happening among atiku campaign groups. Lies will not work in this 2019 election. APC is based on lies and the lies will send them packing. Failure is what APC is know for and lies. All promises cancelled. That's why your lifeless president was getting enough booing for his incompetence and cluelessness at the NASS. Nothing good can ever come out of a lifeless Jubril. And he will only be remembered for bloodshed, nepotism and tyranny.

It doesn't matter what you say to discredit Atiku. Remove the dirt in your own eyes before you can see clearlyto remove the moth in someone's eyes. Atiku is better than Buhari.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured that it will revamp the economy as well as restore democratic tenets and the rule of law in our country, immediately it is returned to power by Nigerians, come 2019. The PDP, which said it is already working on a robust blueprint for national cohesion and economic recovery urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the democratic process because of the misrule of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC), but join forces with the reformed PDP to rescue the nation. PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, who stated this while receiving a delegation of PDP officials from Kogi state in his office at the weekend, said the only way to end the economic recession, human rights abuses and daily bloodletting bedeviling our nation in the last three years is for all Nigerians to rally with the PDP and vote out President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC in 2019. According to Ologbondiyan, “it is now clear to all that President Buhari and his dysfunctional APC are the main problems of Nigeria today. Not only that they have ruined our once robust economy with their restrictive economic policies, their nepotic tendencies are directly responsible for the escalation of hostilities and bloodletting in various parts of our country today. The Buhari administration has shown that it is completely incompetent and lacks the capacity to run an economy as big as ours; it has shown that it lacks the all-inclusive comportment to ensure a united and cohesive nation and has resorted to repressive tendencies, including direct violation of rights of citizens, to cover its failures. HERBALIST DOCTOR'S VIEWPOINT 1.Thirst Hibiscus tea can be drunk hot or cold. As iced tea, the infusion is known to satiate thirst quite effectively. It is often recommended as an alternative to artificially made commercial "sport drinks" that are marketed to physically active individuals. Hibiscus tea's ability to cool the body is well documented by cultures that include it in their diet or medicinal practices. This benefit is probably associated with the diuretic properties of hibiscus, a property that helps in the excretion of excess fluids from the body. 2.High Blood Pressure The antihypertensive properties of hibiscus tea were noted by a study in which 70 people were involved; half of them drank hibiscus tea once daily and the other half took 25 mg of antihypertensive medicine twice daily. After a month, 79 percent of the tea drinkers experienced a ten point reduction in blood pressure, 84 percent of the ones that took pharmaceutical medicine also experienced the same reduction in blood pressure. Hibiscus is an antioxidant. It has properties that prevents the oxidation of low-density lipoproteins; a substance in our blood that if increased beyond normal quantities may cause high blood pressure. 3.Weight Loss Some tea drinkers use hibiscus tea to aid in weight loss. The body produces an enzyme known as amylase which functions to break down complex sugar and starch molecules in food. When a person consumes too much carbohydrate-rich food (full of sugar and starch) that individual is most likely going to gain weight. According to pubmed.gov, hibiscus contains a substance that can inhibit the production of amylase. A person regularly drinking hibiscus tea can thus prevent too much absorption of carbohydrates and consequently not gain excess weight. 4.Cough and Colds According to the book "Healing Herbal Teas," fresh hibiscus flowers contain around 6.7 mg of ascorbic acid, a form of vitamin C, which is one of the more essential nutrients needed by the body. Along with this significantly beneficial substance, hibiscus is known to have anti-inflammatory and mild anti-bacterial properties. Thus hibiscus tea is often used as a supplement to help treat coughs and colds. Because of its cooling effect, it is especially effective in reducing the discomfort of fevers that may accompany such ailments. The National Economic Council says the movement of herdsmen has to stop across the country, especially in the five states that have been adversely affected by killings attributed to the herdsmen-farmers conflict. The states, according to the council, are Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Kaduna and Zamfara states. “This movement by the nomadic herdsmen has to stop,” Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi who headed the sub-committee on the farmers/herders’ crisis told State House correspondents after the NEC meeting on Thursday. Beyond seeking a ban on grazing, the council approved ranching across the affected states, which are expected to make land available for ranches. In all, we agreed that the most profitable and modern way of rearing this cattle is by ranching,” the governor said. https://www.eazyfeeds.com.ng/2018/04/nec-calls-for-ban-on-grazing-in-five.html

Says President Indicted by Vote of no Confidence The decision of the National Assembly to investigate President Muhammadu Buhari for alleged constitutional violations as well as his summon to appear before a joint sitting over the daily bloodletting in our country is completely in consonant with the mood of the nation and the expectations of Nigerians. More so, the vote of no confidence passed on the Service Chiefs by federal lawmakers is a direct indictment of President Buhari, as a failed commander in chief of our armed forces, who must be held responsible for the security failures of our nation in the last three years. President Buhari has roundly failed in his oath of office and allegiance; he has roundly failed to dress his parade as a commander-in-chief in the last three years and must not be allowed to hide behind the Service Chiefs for his failures. Nigerians are very eager to listen to President Buhari and watch him respond to them through their National Assembly members. We therefore habour no reservations in urging the federal lawmakers, as representatives of the people, not to succumb to any form of executive intimidation, blackmail and pressure to surrender their constitutional powers and duties. Section 88 and 89 of the 1999 constitution (as amended) fully empowers the National Assembly, as the collective voice and conscience of the people, to summon any person, including the President, to give evidence on any matter of state and to apply appropriate sanctions for noncompliance. Since the matter of failed security is of paramount importance to all, we firmly demand that President Buhari take questions and address our nation in an open session of the National Assembly. https://www.eazyfeeds.com.ng/2018/04/pdp-buharis-summon-investigation-by.html

This decision is very timely for the people of Anambra state, if Anambra must be great, then this is that one Giant step. |
*IFEANYI DECLARES FOR APGA, INSISTS THAT AFA IGBO AMA EFU!* To my steadfast supporters and umu nnem, Today marks a turning point in my political life as I take a giant leap into that which will spur the advancement of my dream for an ideal and prosperous Anambra State. It has been a bumpy ride considering where I started from, the rough roads I have been through and challenges I have faced in search for the light at the end of the tunnel. Having done so much politically over the years by virtue of my avid belief in adding value to the people of Anambra State and in appreciation to God for his mercies on my life bearing in mind my modest background being the Son of a Teacher, it has become imperative to take stock of my contributions, assess my strengths/weaknesses and take advantage of the opportunities available to me which would be in tandem with my drive to further the course of the Ndi Igbo. As part of my vision and passion to advance the cause of my people, I have spent the last 5 years of my life making concerted efforts through human capital development and the rechanneling of my investments in oil and gas, media, sports, construction amongst others to my home state in a bid to empower the youths and contribute my quota to building a robust state economy. During this period, I have had laughs and good times with my people while also suffering betrayals and deceit from friends and allies alike. Be that as it may, there is a limit to what I can achieve in my private capacity as it is my staunch belief that the number of lives one can touch while occupying the seat of power far outweighs the number that can be touched in one's private capacity. I have been immensely blessed by God and as such, I do not consider politics as beneficial except that it provides me with the channel to which I can achieve my ultimate aim of sincere service to Ndi Anambra. Incidentally and regrettably, despite several efforts to expand the horizon of lives one can touch using the seat of power, I have not been lucky enough to achieve my goal. Bearing in mind the number of politicians that have ended up worse off having encountered not even up to half of what I have suffered in politics, I will continue to thank God immensely for affording me the wherewithal to continually put food on my table as well as that of others. I strongly believe that the route I have journeyed through up until now was ordained by God to avail me the requisite experience which as we all know, is the best teacher. My next steps are hinged on His divine direction and I am happy and contented to follow as he leads. I will continue to champion people-oriented programmes and the cause of Ndi Igbo with the fullest assurance that God will answer our prayers soon. For those who believe I should quit politics in my best interest owing to all that I have suffered in the hands of politicians, I must say thank you for your care and kind advice. I have taken note of your sincere counsel. However, I believe that the end will justify the means as I am bold, strong, courageous and determined to take Anambra State to the next level. Unfortunately, having spent most of my political life working assiduously for the PDP and in consideration of the unfair and callous treatment meted out on me despite my several pleas to the party hierarchy, I have decided to call it a day with the PDP. The political backstabbing has left a sour taste in my mouth and I have come to the conclusion that my service to the PDP is the price I have to pay if I am to succeed in my quest to serve my people. At this juncture, I have left the battle for the Lord. In view of the above, I wish to state unequivocally that I have taken a position to fight for the sustenance and continued relevance of my state and the Igbo tribe. I am a very strong and proud Igbo man who is passionate about the protection of the Igbo name and the pride attached to it. I have dedicated myself to ensure that "Afa Igbo ama efu". Being an indigene of Nnewi, home to notable Nigerians like General Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Ikemba Nnewi), HRH Prince Nwafor Orizu, Dr. Chuchu Okongwu, Chief Cletus Ibeto, Dr. Ikem Okeke, HRH Igwe Kenneth Orizu amongst a host of others and one of the biggest industrial cities in Nigeria, I have taken a position to champion the cause of the Igbo race by striving to ensure the growth and sustenance of the only party bequeathed to us by the Great Ikemba Nnewi, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). I have decided to join the struggle to ensure that our legacy lives on as we must uphold the identity of the Igbos as handed down to us by Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu. While APGA might be seen as a regional party, there is no doubt in my mind that we can make it a force to reckon with nationally in the mould of Alliance for Democracy (AD) that metamorphosed into Action Congress (AC), then later transformed to Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and now the All Progressives Congress (APC) which currently leads at the centre. Based on this and my conscience, in truth, before God and man, I have made up my mind and resolved to join and support the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). My political journey which started from APGA has taken me to two other political parties, Labour Party and then PDP. I am extremely glad to be back to where I belong. Nke a bu nke anyi! I want to assure party faithfuls that I have returned to add immense value to the party and grow the party with the experience I have gathered over the years in politics. To mark my new political sojourn, I will be committing myself to APGA during this election and subsequent elections by organising a rally tagged *AFA IGBO EFUNA* which would underscore my entrance into the party. This rally is scheduled to take place on the 13th of November 2017 at the Ifeanyi Ubah Games Village, Ozubulu/Nnewi. Furthermore, I will commence the sensitization of my friends, foes, allies and all Anambrarians from Sunday, 5th of November, 2017 by 8PM through Authority 91.9FM radio and live stream youtube channel (to watch, click here: https://gaming.youtube.com/channel/UC4Nm7tJwcO1cwz2OPf971FQ/live) on the factors that informed my resolution and the need for Ndi Anambra, especially those from Anambra South to key into the vision and support APGA. This process will last throughout the campaign period as allowed by INEC. I wish to thank all my supporters who have stood by me patiently and persistently throughout my political travails. Your prayers and perseverance are the reasons we are where we are today. To those who feel aggrieved and disappointed as a result of my choice, I wish to tender an unreserved apology to you all as I reassure you that my decision is a product of a well-thought-out assessment of the political landscape as well as fervent prayers. May I also use this medium to specifically express my sincere gratitude to my precious wife and lovely children for their ceaseless prayers, support and encouragement so far irrespective of the trials and tribulations. You all have been an endless source of strength and inspiration. I love you all. To my spiritual fathers, elders and true friends who have also been praying for me while rendering their informed advice, I am very thankful for everything you have done for me. May God reward you all in his infinite mercies. For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to state that while I would gladly render my sincere advice to the party on the line it should tow nationally, I will be lending my full support to whichever party they deem fit nationally in a bid to achieve equity in the event that my party declines to produce a candidate for national elections. This election is not a do or die affair and as such, I wish to call on the Federal Government, State Government, INEC, relevant security agencies, political parties and my fellow Anambrarians to join hands in ensuring that the elections are conducted in a free and fair manner, devoid of violence and rancour. APGA bu nke anyi. Afa Igbo ama efu na-aka anyi! Thank you and God bless you all. Long live APGA! Long live Anambra State! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! http://authorityngr.com/2017/11/Dr--Patrick-Ifeanyi-Ubah-declares-for-APGA-Insists-that--Afa-Igbo-ama-efu-/

Otunba Gbenga Daniel finally concedes PDP Chairmanship to Dokpesi as he visits Dokpesi in Abuja. Asked that SW be given VP slot as the presidency is zoned to the north. According to the former governor of Ogun State popularly called OGD, since the present Vice President is from South West, it will be easier for PDP to capture power back if the party gives the Vice President's slot to the South West since the position of the president is zoned to the north. Then if that be the case the onus lies on the South South to produce the next National Chairman of the largest political party in Africa, but definitely not Rivers State. He further stressed that as such the mantle falls on Chief Raymond Dokpesi who alone has traversed the nook and crannies of this country to seek for the support of all PDP members. On this note he expressed his support for Dokpesi for party interest.

This is an opportunity for the PDP to clean up their closet and do away with every filth amongst them. If they have truly length their lessons. I wish them well |
At least 10 Boko Haram fighters were on Tuesday killed by soldiers of the Nigeria military during an ambush at a village near Maiduguri, Borno State, an official has said. According to the deputy director Army Public Relations at the 8 Task Force Division, Timothy Antigha, the operation was carried out in Maza village of Mafa Local Government Area. Mr. Antigha said on Wednesday night that the 10 Boko Haram fighters were killed as troops pushed forward “ongoing efforts to deny terrorists freedom of action in it’s Area of Responsibility.” “The troops of 8 Task Force Division have neutralized 10 terrorists in Maza village in Marte Local Government Areas of Borno State. “The terrorists fell into an ambush laid by troops at about 9pm last night, as they attempted to sneak back into their swampy hideouts in the Lake Chad. “Items recovered from the terrorists include 10 bicycles, 11 carts containing food items and 2 cows. In a related development, troops also recovered 50 cows abandoned by fleeing terrorists, during clearance operations conducted in Danari and Mowo villages in Monguno Local Government Area. “It should be noted that as the noose continues to tighten on Boko Haram terrorists, couple with the wet season, they have resorted to the use of bicycles and charts as means of transportation,” the colonel said. The Maza ambush happened at about 9 p.m., about two hours after three suicide bombers attacked a village market in Konduga Local Government where they caused the death of about 20 persons while over 80 others were critically injured. The Konduga incident was the biggest casualty recorded since Boko Haram insurgents resorted to suicide bombings using teenage girls in the past year. Konduga is about 39km south-east of Maiduguri while Mafa is about 52km east of the Borno capital. The incidents occurred days after the Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, appeared in a new video boasting about his group’s invincibility. The Chief of Army Staff had three weeks ago given the soldiers at the theatre of war in the North-east 40 days ultimatum to arrest Mr. Shekau. http://www.eazyfeeds.com.ng/2017/08/official-nigerian-soldiers-ambush-boko.html

This is a direct statement to the DSS, they should go back to their chambers and discuss with their lawyers because they have nothing against Dr Ubah. They should let him go. Obey court orders |
I don't see any part d DSS has to play in all of this. So why should they have the powers to detain Ifeanyi Ubah against the rullings of the court of law. The same law they are suppose to uphold |
If this is allowed to continue... Then dere will be no need to go to court for anything as the d law it self can't stand. The DSS should be called to order |
The DSS should better obey the court order and set Ifeanyi Ubah free. Its night time the law starts taking its full course. And stop all this witch hunting done by ds so called gov puppy's |
As far as I am concerned there is absolutely no need for the DSS to detain Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, because it is not a criminal offence. They should allow NNPC and Capital Oil settle their accounts as business dictates. And stop all the witch hunting. |
This is business... Attacking one side of the two parties is not right. The DSS should be professional and serve justice evenly. IMO |
If the DSS was being fair, they would ask both parties to go and reconcile rather than harrass Dr. Ubah |

“We are safe. We have not been flushed out of anywhere. And tactics and strategies cannot reveal our location except if Allah wills by his decree,” Shekau said in the 25-minute video, flanked by masked armed fighters. “You should not be telling lies to the people,” he said, referring to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari who said on Christmas Eve that the extremist group had been defeated and driven away from the forest, its last known bastion. http://www.eazyfeeds.com.ng/2016/12/bokoharam-shekau-in-new-video-says.html
