Mechatronika:
Let X be the total number of Cups of coffee consumed by Miss Uche.

In essence, When 85% of X was consumed, 3 cups was left.
Mathematically we have X--85%x = 3


====> X- 85x/100 =3


(100X-85x)/100 = 3

Multiply both sides by 100.
100x -85x = 300.

=====> 15x = 300
X = 20


20 Cups of Coffee was consumed

Miss uche made a fresh pot of coffee in the morning. By the end of the day only 3 cups remained. If 85% of the coffee had been consumed,how many cups of coffee did she make in total.....
