Hey, fellow Freelancers/gig workers! 👋

I'm in a bit of a tough spot and could really use some advice from those who've been in the game longer than me.

A couple of weeks back I was sick and was out for 5 days straight. I couldn't even look at my phone, let alone complete any gigs. Now I'm feeling better, but my wallet definitely isn't! 😓

This got me thinking - how do you all manage during times when you can't work? Whether it's illness, family emergencies, or just life happening... what's your strategy?

Do you have some sort of backup plan? A secret stash? Supportive clients, who understand? Or do you just cross your fingers and hope for the best?

I'd love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have. Feels like we're all in this boat together, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's faced this challenge.
