Instead of NNPC to sell crude oil to Dangote directly to refine in his new refinery, they sell to the IOC (International Oil Companies) who in turn add like $4 or $5 and resell to Dangote.

Instead of NNPC to allow our local refineries to work, allocate crude to the refineries, refine and sell locally.. save forex, create employment, ensure local supply of fuel and other petroleum components. No, NNPC sells and ships crude to Malta both legally and illegally, blends in Malta and buys back in Dollars and sells locally and collects subsidy on the sales..

Just unimaginable.. how the Nigerian masses are the ones made to bear the brunt of all these maladministration. Nigerians have been queuing endlessly for fuel for the past one+ year consistently.🤔🤔

Dangote is asking for an additional $6/barrel discount and wants to pay in Naira. The reality is that no one will sell crude oil to him in Naira because oil blocks are awarded in dollars, signature bonus are paid in dollars, seismic survey and aeromagnetic survey with gravity data are acquired in dollars, interpretation of the data is 80% dollars, oil wells are drilled in dollars, production facilities are constructed in dollars and so on.

This simply means that for dangote to get crude he still has to source for FX ,this here is the genesis of the issue because this will continue to put pressure on our FX and would drastically affect the price.
