The Problem is that IT COSTS MORE TO CLEAR YOUR GOODS in other ports outside Lagos.

This is the main problem since the end of the war. It costs more to clear in Calabar or Onne. I mean tye freight charges.

Deu to federal government levies and charges, it is cheaper for importers to land their goods in Lagos.

These are inbuilt federal government maritime policies post civil war that were dubiously deployed to tighten the grip on the Eastern ports. Unfortunately, those anti business policies have continued to add to the costs of doing business in these areas till these days..

If you have shipped from China, you would have noticed that most foreign shippers will be pratically begging you to use Lagos ports. This is because the federal government has used administrative measures to make it easier and cheaper for these ships to land in Lagos..

I am not deluded. I am a realistic person..
I don't think that this very government that is alarmingly pro Lagos/Southwest will be the one to free eastern ports.
That will happen someday but certainly not under the the administration of the most tribal president in Nigerias history..

Lagos has a population of over 20m people as an importer. Where would you prefer to.send your goods to? Everyone prefers to.send their goods closer to where the market is. Even if the largest port were to be built in the landlocked Aba Majority of the goods will still be sent by road back to Lagos where the population that has the purchasing power is. All these ur political port statements holds no.water in the face of economics. You are free to send ur container to Onne port or Calabar port so. why are you still sending it to Lagos and then turn around to.cook lies about government charges?

I like Atiku buy I doubt he was ever destined to be President. The best time ever for Atiku to be president was 2023. When a sitting president and almost his entire candidate were working against their party's candidate. Buhari did everything to ensure Tinubu never succeeded him , including changing naira notes and withdrawing same from circulation few weeks to elections. Atiku would have won that elections before 12noon. UNTIL there came a disruptor OBI. He warehouse 6m votes that would have easigone to Atiku..Gbam the whole calculation suddenly scattered. Tinubu 8.7m votes, Atiku 7.1m votes, Obi 6.9m votes. The combo of Atiku and Obi votes was almost double Tinubu votes.

For Atiku to have lost 2023 elections he was never destined to be President... He can try his luck again in 2027 but trust me , his time was 2023 and Obi made him to miss it.

Akwa Ibom has been very lucky with Governors from aobong Victor Attah, to Godswill Akpabio, to Udom and now to Eno all 4 performed faily well for their people.
