to me, in the last 4 seasons RM has not played any spectacular brand of football. Their football has been kick-start.

The EPL suits CR cos of its pace and physical nature.Man Utd suits Ronaldo best cos its a counter attacking team that makes use of the pace of its wingers, this makes Ronaldo engaged most times and always alert.
La liga is slower and more tactical. I can bet that Ronaldo would be more of a bore when he runs and runs and there is follow up from his teammates. Teams in the La liga build up play from defence and nobody would send CR all those long passes he gets from the likes of Scholesy, Carrick, Rooney, Tevez et al.

I also feel, there would be more competition among the RM players trying to outplay each other. Of course Sneidjer, would want to prove, he is a better midfielder, Robben would love to outshine CR, If Robinho stays, he will definitely want to prove his mettle. Lastly Ronaldo can NEVER get the kind of services he gets from MU players in RM where everybody is a big boy.MU played for Ronaldo last season, that accounts for why he had a brilliant campaign. The players in RM are already complaining that the Ronaldo transfer saga is taking its toll on them. I don't rule out a conspiracy among the players to render Ronaldo redundant if and when he eventually joins them
