Applied since 20th September; and since then haven't been able to schedule interview; raising support ticket via the avits portal is so unreliable and complete waste of time; took the advise of people on this platform to send email to LagosNIV@state.gov;

Today I got an email which doesn't really solve the problem; is anyone in this kind of situation and got this kind of email response from the consulate?

the next day... i am on to pre approval stage.. but im stuck there right now because of a system error. When did you pay? because i paid in july maybe that's why they attended to mine quicker?

I paid 20th September, so you paid on the old system

How long did it take for them to sort it out for you, after sending the email?

Paid since Nov 8th 2024. Till now, payment has not yet reflected on the AVITS portal for me to proceed to booking interview appointment.

Paid since September 20th, nothing till now. its annoying, no response to support ticket and emails

I have tried booking for appointment all to no avail
I have also raised tickets and I have tried all the steps given,still nothing

Since May thats even before the migration

Please I urgently need HELP on how to proceed at this point. The support staff for the new visa application portals are useless, they have not been able to advise or solve my problem since I opened a ticket. One was even pretending he couldnt hear me during a call session with him.

I made payment since NOV 8 2024 but till now, I havent been able to proceed to book appointment on the portal. I got a successful payment notification and First Bank also sent me the receipt. I spoke with the customer support agent and she advised me to wait for the payment to be confirmed on the portal. It has been 10 days now since I made payment and nothing has changed. Has anyone experience this and how did you get this resolved?

Or did I do something wrong?
Please help me o...abeg. I am supposed to resume Jan 13 2025 for my program and I never get VISA.

You didnt do anything wrong; some of us made payment since 20th Sep and have been having this issue since then; no resolution yet' its just unfortunate that the system of payment works for some people and it doesn't for some, I think there are some people that had made payment since 1st Sept and having this issue too;

All we can do is to create tickets; which at the moment, not sure they are even responding to. also, explore the idea of emailing LagosNIV@state.gov using the Visa wizard

They almost got me on the day I went to submit my passport. It was when they told me I would pay 15k for sending the passport to and from VFS that I knew something wasn't right. Since I already had a booked appointment with VFS, I left the DHL office and entered the application centre and didn't have to pay anything.

Hi @naivasha, Yes, they got my Mum to submit to them, even after reaching the gate of VFS centre; and passport was only able to get to VFS the next day after she has travelled from Ikeja to Lekki, only to pay them 22,500 to deliver next door - this is wicked, isn't it.

I am getting various confirmation about delivering the application to Abuja VFS from Lagos VFS, are the passports now sent to Abuja; They said In-person collection not possible only via courier - all this mails are from VFS.

Did you get similar emails conflicting

who has been tricked into submitting passport at the DHL next door from the gate of application centre by random dudes at the door of the application centre, saying that is where they submit request for passport to the embassy?

Just thought about capturing people still having issues with scheduling appointments after payment and dates and when resolved, just your initials and date payment was made.

Hi sis,I received a collection email for my mum's visa yesterday. I'm yet to receive the decision email. Does it mean her visa has been granted? Or should I wait for the decision email before she goes to pick up her passport?

It was exactly same for me….I was always refreshing my mail and praying I don’t receive another mail aside from the collection mail, lol. Go and collect your passport, It’s a good sign your mum has been granted visa.

Mine just got resolved on the 18th of October - I called everyday and created tickets - Try and use your aventum number , lets see if it will work.

If it doesn't , call them everyday, chat them everyday lets hope it will work

is anyone still having issues with scheduling an interview after making payments via First Bank Transfer?

I did on 20th Sept; still nothing happening with my tickets, and the call centre seem helpless as well. Emails to LagosNIV email also not acknowledged yet
