May be nairaland should add minimum of SSCE before a person comments on nairaland,to keep people like from making absurd comments.
@Op, I think you are just paranoid,you didn't list any symptoms of the major STDs so far. Be more careful next time,you are an adult and can do what you like but you should know sexual workers have higher chances of contacting and spreading STDs.

Thanks bro. I know its just a week and so far,no symptoms yet that I should be afraid of. I can't help but be paranoid though especially since I know I have to wait for at least 2 weeks before doing a test.

Give her that 10K, she will gladly follow you to run tests. Na money she dey work for..If she were positive, you will immediately start PEP...But now i guess you have past the 72hr window period. If i were you, call her and tell her you wana see her again..Beg,Pay and psych her to run the test.

Armpit swelling is a symptom of a viral infection.... most prominent HIV at the first stages.... However it may be just some coincidence and nothing more .. but trust me you took a gamble on your life when you ignore to take medication after that mistake.

I took amplicox beecham, just to be a little careful but I don't know what that's going to do and the armpit is not swollen,just a slight pain which stopped before I woke up

It's a long read but Here's my story. Last week Thursday, I was at a hotel with some friends, drinking and just enjoying ourselves. At a point I think I started feeling a little bit tipsy so I decided to retire to the room I lodged. On my way,I saw this girl standing just around the hotel with some other girls so i called her and started a little discussion with her,obviously she's a sex worker and judging by her looks,she shouldn't be more than 26. One discussion led to another and I suddenly had the courage to ask this girl the price for short sex to which she agreed that it was 7K,I didn't negotiate,I took her to my room and then we took off our clothes and we had sex. I noticed something weird with the condom but I guess I was too drunk to pay attention. When we finished, lo and behold I saw that the condom broke while we were having sex. My heart skipped a bit but I composed myself,paid her and told her to go. Since that moment I have restless because normally I never sleep with sex workers and that was my first time. I started checking through google for symptoms regarding STDS and STIS and the dreaded HIV. I barely got any sleep that night until the morning when I went home. I checked through my phone and i saw that i had the girl's number, i called her immediately and told her what happened and i asked her if there is anything i should be afraid of. Her reply was if she looks unhealthy to me and that she takes care of herself more than i take care of myself and that immediately she left the hotel room that morning,she went to take some injections. That gave me some relief but I was still a little bit scared. I kept a close watch on myself for any slight changes in my health and waited for a 2 week period to be over so I could determine if I was doomed or not. It is officially now a week later and I feel fine but last night I noticed a slight pain in my left armpit,I have been having this slight pain for sometime now,it comes and goes but I am scared shitless. I don't know what to do or think,please has anybody been through this fear phase,how did you handle it? Advices from medical professionals are also welcomed.
