Jokes Etc / Question Of The Day? Is This Fahsion Or? by NegroidHaven: 7:42am On Jun 14, 2015
Comedian Funky Mallam has an opinion on the swimwear above and this he shared on Instagram. He wrote, 'Obviously fashion has gone satanic This designer and the model must be mentally retarded. How can a normal person call this a cloth in the name of fashion or style? This is diametrically against the ethics of fashion designing. This is the total definition of madness. Even a mad woman would rain curses at the sight of this naked runway lunatic. The title of her chest is "Ala gi o da go".'

His domestic staff, entertainment, utilities, security responsibility, Legislative Aids, House Maintenance an, as well as a Special Adviser and a Personal Assistant are provided by the federal government.
Similarly Robe (clothing) and newspapers are provided for the Speaker by the Federal Government.
He receives 75 per cent of his salary as constituency allowance.

The decision to review the current salaries and allowances of the nations’ public office holders received approval of many members of the public who had complained that the Nigerian law makers were about the highest paid in the world. These are the official earnings of these political office holders. But their spoils of office amount to several millions and even billions of naira in recent past

Politics / None Of The Rescued 293 Females Is From Chibok - Borno Govt by NegroidHaven: 10:09pm On Apr 29, 2015
Borno state government says profiling of the 293 females rescued from Sambisa forest yesterday April 28th shows that they are from Damboa local government and not from Chibok as was highly speculated.

Speaking with newsmen in Maiduguri today April 29th, the state Commissioner for Information, Dr. Mohammed Bulama, say the rescued females are from Bumsiri village in Damboa Local government area and were all kidnapped from the village by the sect members.

"These girls and women rescued are still our daughters as much as the Chibok girls and we have to commend the military for liberating them, hoping that the rest will equally be liberated. Though everyone had thought they were the Chibok girls because of the hype surrounding the abduction of the girls, but we should not lose sight of the fact that they are as important as the Chibok girls and those that are still in captivity, which we hope would be liberated soon. But at the moment, we are looking up to the time the 293 women and girls would be handed to us so that we can begin the process of rehabilitating and reintegrating them back into the society.”

Politics / BREAKING: INEC Releases Statement Ahead Of Saturday's Elections by NegroidHaven: 9:36pm On Apr 09, 2015
Press statement from INEC ahead of Saturday Gubernatorial elections..
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received reports that some political leaders are asking members of the public to disregard its stated resolve to use Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and Smart Card Readers (SCRs) for the April 11, 2015Governorship and State Assembly elections.

A particular state governor in the North Central geo-political zone is reported to have assured voters in the state that they could come out to vote on Election Day with Temporary Voter Cards (TVCs) if they do not have the PVC, and that INEC will not be allowed to insist on the use of SCRs for voter accreditation.

Members of the public are strongly advised to disregard false assurances that contradict the regulations INEC has outlined for the Governorship and State Assembly elections. The Commission reaffirms that only voters with genuine PVCs should come out to the polling units on Election Day, and that guidelines issued on the use of SCRs for the April 11 elections will be strictly applied. Any action infringing these guidelines will be an electoral offence, and security agents will be on hand to apprehend offenders.

The Commission commends Nigerian voters for their peaceful conduct and exemplary resilience, even in the face of minor challenges, during the Presidential and National Assembly elections on March 28, 2015. It, however, considers it unfortunate that some leaders would misguide the public and thereby prepare ground for needless disruptions to the polling process on April 11. INEC hereby warns that any obstruction to the processes it has put in place for the elections by any person, no matter how highly placed, will constitute an electoral offence punishable in law.

Meanwhile, the Commission has assigned the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of Kogi State, Alhaji Hussaini Halilu Pai, to supervise the conduct of the Governorship and State Assembly elections in Kano State, following the tragic demise of Alhaji Minkala Abdullahi last weekend. Before his posting as FCT REC, Alhaji Pai was Ekiti State REC, who conducted the Governorship Election of June 21, 2014.

Politics / Fashola Addresses Lagosians On Saturday's Governorship Election by NegroidHaven: 9:23pm On Apr 08, 2015
Public address by Lagos governor, Babatunde Fashola to Lagosians on April 11th Guber elections.
Dear Lagosians,

First let me thank you all for turning out to vote on the 28th March 2015 and for doing so peacefully to make history by electing the All Progressives Congress candidates in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

Once again, I must address you as we approach Saturday’s elections, when you will be electing a Governor who will continue after me and consolidate on the progress we have built together.
See more http://www.negroidhaven.com/2015/04/newsfashola-addresses-lagosians-on.html

You will also be electing members of the State House of Assembly who will make laws on your behalf to assist the Governor and his team in the Executive arm.

Although your votes will be cast for one political party or the other, let me remind you that you will actually be voting for your wellbeing, security, prosperity and future.

You will also be voting for the future of your children. You will be choosing candidates and a party that you will entrust your lives to.

Think hard, think clearly, think deeply. Ask yourselves a few questions.

Who has shown a better record and example of protecting and securing you between the political parties?

Which of the parties cares more when disasters happen?

What is the record of the parties as it relates to the promises they have made to you in the past?

Which of the parties do you see regularly and which one do you see once in a while?

Which of the parties do you see when your life or property is threatened by epidemics like Ebola or by unfortunate accidents like plane crashes?

Which of the parties is showing that you can become home-owners without knowing anybody?

Which party has responsibility for providing electricity for you, and which one is taking up the responsibility to light up your streets and communities at night?

Which of them cares more about your children and their safety?

Indeed ask yourself; which of the parties threatened you with thugs on that sad Monday of March 16th and which is seeking to protect you by supporting the police; with patrol vehicles, fuel and other equipment?

Ask yourself when last you saw the Federal Fire Service in Lagos. The proud men and women of the Lagos State Fire Service have taken over admirably.

Ask yourself who should be supporting the police and who is actually doing it?

Dear Lagosians, your choice of who to vote for will be easy if you answer these questions within yourself honestly.

Indeed, you have clear choices to make between parties that use your resources to develop your society and community on the one hand, and the party that chooses to bring money to you for distribution when election beckons.

So you can choose between schools for your children, hospitals for your community, roads for your transportation or in the alternative, you can choose to have these services monetized once in four years.

Remember, that choices have consequences and your vote will decide the choice that shapes your lives.

Dear Lagosians, it is tempting to take the right and opportunity to vote for granted. It is tempting to think that it is too much trouble.

I agree that the process can be made much easier. But it is no excuse to refuse to vote.

Out of 5.8 million registered voters and 3.8 million PVC collections, only about 1.5 million turned out to vote, on the 28th March 2015.

Think of all the pain, the effort, the sleepless nights it took to get the PVCs to you. Think of the best way to show that the effort was not wasted or in vain.

It seems to me that the best way is to have all these 3.8 Million voters come out to vote.

By refusing to vote, you surrender decision making to a few and you will be bound by the consequences of your choices.

By refusing to vote, you do a great disservice to many who have lived before you, who fought very hard at great personal costs to themselves, to earn you this right.

By refusing to vote, you dishonour the sacrifice of patriots before you who fought for the right to vote.

Remember that when they were fighting for the right to vote, they were not fighting for yesterday, they were fighting for today and tomorrow.

They have handed today to you and I, can we secure tomorrow for the next generation?

Remember that since the capital of Nigeria was moved from Lagos 24 years ago in December 1991, Lagos has been abandoned by the Federal Government.

Ask yourself when the last major new road in Lagos was built by the Federal Government. It was the 3rd Mainland Bridge completed in 1990.

The assets the Federal Government left behind almost became a burden but for our resilience to maintain them. Today the Federal Government is owing Lagos N51 Billion which remains unpaid.

This is not in accord with the spirit of the promise made to Lagos when the Federal Government first declared Abuja as the capital in 1976.

The Head-of-State at the time, the late Gen Murtala Muhammed, said then and I quote him:

“…Lagos will, in the foreseeable future, remain the nation’s commercial capital and one of its nerve centres. But in terms of servicing the present infrastructure alone the committed amount of money and effort required will be such that Lagos State will not be ready to cope.

(But we have coped at great sacrifice)

“It will even be unfair to expect the state to bear this heavy burden on its own. It is therefore necessary for the Federal Government to continue to sustain the substantial investment in the area. The port facilities and other economic activities in the Lagos area have to be expanded.

“There is need in the circumstances for the Federal Government to maintain a special defence and security arrangement in Lagos which will henceforth be designated a special area. These arrangements will be carefully worked out and written into the new constitution. Kaduna and Port Harcourt are to be accorded similar status and designated as Special Areas…”

Sadly, no Federal Government and indeed not the PDP Government has done anything to redeem that promise for the 16 years it was in power or to protect Lagos.

Instead of assisting Lagos, they attacked her. If you remember FERMA, in 2006, the same PDP seized your Local Government money and resisted the attempt to bring Government closer to you by creating more local Governments.

On Monday 16th March 2015, the same PDP continued in their tradition of assaulting Lagos. Their supporters took over a major road in Lagos and threatened your peace and security.

On Wednesday 18th March 2015, the President-Elect, Muhammadu Buhari came to Lagos and said Lagos will receive compensation for the role she has played in maintaining Federal Government Assets.

Yesterday on Tuesday the 7th of April 2015, he was here in Lagos in his first political engagement since he became President-Elect and he reiterated his commitment to support Lagos.

This is what I will vote for. This is what I urge you to think about as you vote on Saturday.

This is the place that every Nigerian calls his home. It is the home of displaced people. It is the place where the homeless arrive and are made welcome.

It is the place where generations of Nigerians have arrived without knowing anybody but have, through the opportunities and inclusion, become somebody.

This is the place where the Late Chief Adeniran Ogunsanya and Owelle Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe consummated the handshake across the Niger and played politics without bitterness.

Tell those who try to divide us that our greatest strength has always been our diversity.

Tell them that you feel safe here, and that I have continuously assured you of your safety as the basis of our mutual co-existence.

Tell them that our waterways have been assets of prosperity and sustenance, for transport, recreation and fishing and they will remain so.

Let nobody now attempt to re-write that history for you.

When they reel out false statistics about Lagos, please ask them the statistics about the places they governed for 16 years.

When they reel out statistics, please remind them that those statistics don’t stand in isolation, they are the burden of a whole nation and many parts of West Africa that Lagos state bears.

When they promise you heaven and earth, remember their broken promises on power, security and many more.

Ask them to show you a plan, if they can produce one, which is doubtful, ask them whether they have implemented it elsewhere.

Tell them that you have seen the Lagos Development plan for 2012 – 2025, that the Lagos Light Rail Project, the Adiyan Water Works Phase II of 75 Million gallons a day, the solar power for all schools and many more which are part of the plans for you and your children and which are already being implemented.

Tell them that you will vote to keep a plan that you can see, that is already working, instead of a plan that you have not seen.

Ask them what happened to Vision 20:20, to the 7-Point Agenda and to Transformation.

Tell them that your bird in hand will not be traded for a dozen unseen birds in the bush.

Tell them that this election is not about money, tell them that it is not about ethnicity and it is not about religion.

Tell them that this election is about the place you call your home, the place you earn your living and the place where your investments are the safest.

Tell them that you will not play ethnic or religious politics with your survival. Tell them that you will not vote with anger.

Tell them that you will vote with common sense and for experience.

Tell them that you have seen Lagos survive without Federal support, and you wish to see her flourish with Federal support.

That will be the most historic thing you will have done, putting Lagos in the centre with your votes.

History and tomorrow beckons. Don’t turn your backs.

Politics / President Goodluck Jonathan & The Nobel Peace Prize by NegroidHaven: 3:25pm On Apr 07, 2015
By Efio-Ita Nyok |7 April 2015| 10:35am

The Nobel Prize is a set of awards in five fields -Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, & Peace; initiated by Alfred Nobel, the Swedish inventor, industrialist and armament manufacturer.

The Nobel Prize for Peace has been awarded annually since 1901to those who have "done the most
or the best work for fraternity between nations,
for the abolition or reduction of standing armies
and for the holding and promotion of peace
congresses". There have been a handful of nominees and recipients. Prominent among these recipients are Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, President Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela, etc. In this piece I intend to articulate a set of propositions advocating for the Nobel Prize for Peace to be awarded to Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the incumbent President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

28 March 2015 was set aside by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for the conduction of the 2015 Presidential/National Assembly elections. It was a hotly contested presidential elections between the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and his arch-rival, namely, Major General Mohammadu Buhari(Rtd) of the foremost opposition party, the All Progressive Congress(APC). The later won the presidential election by a landslide margin of over 2.3 million votes!

On Monday 30th March with a few minutes past 5pm the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan picked his phone and put a call across to his opponent, Mohammadu Buhari, who was obviously the winner, before the votes were totally collated and the winner was officially announced, to concede defeat. Below is the historic concession speech:

Caller : Your excellency, sir. Hope I'm speaking
with General Buhari, sir. President Goodluck
Jonathan would like to speak with you, sir.
Receiver: Yes. Okay, hold on.
Jonathan: Your Excellency
Receiver: Hold on, sir.
Buhari: Your Excellency
Jonathan: Your Excellency, how are you?
Buhari: I'm all right.
Jonathan: (Laughter) Congratulations
Buhari: Thank you very much, your Excellency.
Jonathan: So, how are things?
Buhari: Well, I'd congratulate you more
because you….
Jonathan: In a few days find time to come so
that we can sort out how to plan the
transitional period.
Buhari: Alright, Your Excellency. Thank you
very much
Jonathan: Okay, congratulations
Buhari: My respects, Your Excellency. Thank
you.

The speech was unprecedented and outwitted some. It etched the incumbent's name in gold. Through this singular statesmanly act an anticipated civil war in Nigeria was averted. Because should have Jonathan refused to honour the results by INEC then there would have been a military take over which wouldn't have gone down well as there would have been tension and conflict and then a full blown civil war between the minority and majority tribes in Nigeria. Worst still, the just concluded presidential elections were obviously hinged on tribal/ ethnic and religious sentiments and not based primarily on issues or ideology.

Nigeria comprises over 250 ethnicities with over 400 dialects. It's a multilingual and multi religious society. It's has over 170 million citizens. It is Africa's most populous country. And the continent's largest economy. Each of the major ethnic groups are over 15/30 million each. So, they are nations in their regard. It stands to reason then that, that singular phone call by Jonathan entrenched both peace and democratic ideals in Nigeria, West Africa and Africa at large as trends in Nigeria are perceived to have spiral effects on the adjoining regions and the entire continent. In other words, that historic phone call did the most or best work for fraternity among the nations of Nigeria, West Africa and Africa, in the words of the Nobel Peace Prize tradition.

It's in view of President Goodluck Jonathan's contributions to peace nationally and continentally that he is been tipped in some quarters to be a recipient of the Mo Ibrahim Peace Prize for the year 2015. While this inclination is commendable I am proposing that Jonathan be made a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding contribution to peace in Africa in contemporary times.

While this proposal may be pooh poohed by some on the grounds of his inability to deal a profound blow to the insurgency in the northeast, namely, Boko Haram, it should be recalled that corruption is endemic in Nigeria, and this ignoble trend did not begin with his administration. Besides, it is in his administration that the Corruption Index of the country appreciated positively according to the rating of international corruption index organizations. Finally, Jonathan's contributions to peace in Nigeria, courtesy of that 30 March historic phone call, far outweighs his inability to curb the insurgency in the northeast of the country.

It's on these well founded premises that, I am nominating Goodluck Ebele-Azikiwe Jonathan as a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Politics / President Jonathan's 2015 Easter Message To The Nation by NegroidHaven: 11:36pm On Apr 04, 2015
By William Oyo-Ita 4 April 2015

Fellow citizens,
I greet you all, especially our Christian brothers and sisters, as we celebrate Easter in commemoration of the resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

For Christians all over the world, the major lessons of Easter, which we celebrate this year in the midst of general elections in our nation, are to be found in the Messiah’s Divine love and glorious self-sacrifice for the redemption of mankind.

This year’s celebration of Easter is taking place at a period of very critical national choices and decisions, during which we must all be prepared and willing to make sacrifices for greater unity, peace, political stability and progress in our beloved country.

We must therefore seize the opportunity of the Easter holiday to reflect deeply on what more we need to do as a people, to ensure that the political process in which we are currently engaged is successfully concluded and that our beloved country, Nigeria continues to move towards a better future for all of its citizens.

Happily, we have already successfully scaled the hurdle of the Presidential and National Assembly Elections. I am quite hopeful that the Gubernatorial and State Assembly elections will also be conducted peacefully.

To the glory and pride of our fatherland, our collective actions since March 28 have assured the world that the democratic spirit is alive and well in our nation.

By the grace of God, our beloved nation, Nigeria is moving forward despite all challenges.

Let us all pray this Easter, that God Almighty who has brought us this far, will continue to bless our nation as we march onward towards the fulfillment of our collective vision of a truly united, strong and prosperous nation.

I wish you all very happy Easter celebrations.

Crime / PHOTOS: Kenya University Attack - 147 Students Killed (graphic) by NegroidHaven: 7:20am On Apr 03, 2015
Members of Somali Islamic sect, Al-Shabab, stormed Kenyan's Garissa University College very early this morning and massacred students and staff of the school.According to new reports, 147 people lost their lives in the horrific incident which is so far the deadliest terrorist attack in Kenya. Another 79 people were seriously injured.

According to Kenyan security forces, of the 815 students in the college, 500 were rescued, 147 were killed and the rest - 166 - have not been properly accounted for. Some are believed to have been taken hostage. Kenya government claim they killed four of the terrorists. See some photos from the incident after the cut, but be warned, one of the photos shows dead students killed in their classroom..
Five gunmen gained entry into the university, which is close to an army barracks, after killing guards at the main gate. They massacred some students they found inside lecture halls who were working on their assignments while others were killed in their halls of residence

Kenyan President spoke to the nation in a TV broadcast and said the attackers had taken hostages;
“I am saddened to inform the nation that early today, terrorists attacked Garissa University College, killed and wounded several people and have taken others hostage. On behalf of my government, I extend condolences to the families of those who have perished in this attack. We continue to pray for the quick recovery of the injured, and the safe rescue of those held hostage.” he said.
Kenya's Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinnet said the terrorists had taken positions in the students’ hostels.
“The attackers forced their way into the university by shooting at the guards who were manning the main gate. The attackers shot indiscriminately once inside the compound. Police officers who were at the time guarding the university hostels heard the gunshots and responded swiftly and engaged the gunmen in a fierce shootout. However, the attackers retreated and gained entry into the hostels.
“The officers summoned for reinforcement immediately and a joint force composed of police and other security agencies arrived and are currently engaged in an elaborate process of flushing out the gunmen from the hostels.”

Romance / Issues Of Life: The Dilemma Of A Raped Virgin by NegroidHaven: 9:03pm On Mar 21, 2015
By Nelson Amaobi Osuala (modified)

It was a sad ordeal for sandra (Name withheld) a girl that why determined to the core. But little did she know that the movie recently released titled "The pregnant virgin" was a bad dream to be cancelled by her. She had a prototype, the likes of pastor Bimbo Odukoya of blessed memory, who married as a virgin at the age of 22,may be She wanted to be like the virgin daughters of philip in the bible who were prophetess as recorded in the holy writ of (Acts 21:9),It could be that she had read about Bishop Oyedepo and his wife Faith who married as virgins.
Sandra like any other destiny conscious teenager, got her dream shattered overnight by one destiny killer. Sandra in her wildest dream could not imagine that Tony could ever betray her based on the thrust she had developed in him.
"sandy" as she was popularly called by her admirers was in her 'teens'. She comes from a decent christian background. She was a free type, which earned her the nickname 'free girl'. She had a lot of female and male friends despite the warnings from her parents, who advised her saying " you cannot give a dog a bone to keep' in her remarks, she branded her parents as.. OLD SCHOOL PARENTS. And then went into a PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP WITH TONY. He was a very handsome and articulate guy like the bible informs that "... The heart of man is deceitful" (Jer 17:9), Tony's heart was not an exception.
Sandra had been persuaded by Tony on several occasions to pay him a visit, which she refused owing to her parental advice. On different occasions she had sought advise from her friends, knowing that It is a fact that human beings can never be predicted, according to economists.
On one fateful day, she made up her mind to stop by on her way to the market. Tony was already waiting in a friend's house. Tony quickly locked up the door as she entered, she pleaded heaven and earth but He was adamant as he was determined to ruin her. Sandra was under pressure, no where to hide. Tony's demand was high, but she could not trade her virginity not for anything. Her PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP is about to become a "RAPE- TONIC" RELATIONSHIP. Who will help her out? Her only option was to scream but the Rap music was tunned to 'are you nut' frequency. Tony over - powered her and RAPED her.
She got home at 9:45pm. Her parents were tensed up already, ready to go to the police to declare that their daughter was missing. She cooked up a lie that she was arrested by the police but there is absolutely nothing hidden under the sun. Sooner than later, she noticed mucor coming out of her private parts. She was scared and told a friend by name Ada.
Later, her mother discovered that she was behaving funny. She was obviously going through an emotional trauma, meaning that she was emotionally imbalance, why? It was because Ada and her had prior to this time gone for test where she was diagnosed of "STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS", a deadly sexually transmitted disease. Ada advised her to commit suicide, but thank God for one of her Holy friend called Amaka.
Amaka advised she should tell her parents what had happened, which she did. They arrested Tony and with the help of sandra's uncle who was a legal practitioner, Tony was charged for rape. The treatment of the disease cost sandra's parents almost all of their life savings. But no amount for them was worth their only daughter's life. I thought the parents would kill her after the cure of her disease but in the words of sandra.. "All that my father said was.. 'thank God for his mercy, thank God It was not HIV or AIDS.. I know you have learnt your lessons, sandra. I know you now know that you cannot go into a platonic relationship with the devil.
Sandra is now very close to Amaka because she was a TRUE friend even in times of need. They both got admission to University of Calabar and They attend the same fellowship on campus. I HOPE THEY WILL NOT MARRY THE SAME HUSBAND OH.. (LAUGHS)

Sports / BBC Vs MSN- Who Has The Best Strike Force? Real Madrid Or Barcelona by NegroidHaven: 9:18pm On Mar 20, 2015
The culture of the individual is said to have taken over from the overriding team ethic of football. But on Sunday, two of the modern game's greatest collectives come head to head as Barcelona meet Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.
Yet it is still not the traditional match-up of 11 against 11 that has everybody transfixed so much as the face-off between the sport's two greatest strike forces that has the world talking ahead of the latest Clasico.

While Real Madrid have the much-lauded BBC of Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, Barcelona's Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar have been dubbed the MSN.

It is typical of the battle between the two clubs. Barca make headlines with Messi, Madrid with Ronaldo. The Blancos' front-line has a nickname, so too must the Catalans trio have one.

But which is the best-performing of the two triumvirates as the Gran Derbi approaches?

In the opening half of the campaign Real Madrid's superiority was summed up by the brilliance of their front three. They led La Liga with authority, collected the Uefa Super Cup and strolled to the Club World Cup title. All the while, Bale, Benzema and Cristiano were thriving.

Between them, the star trio bagged 57 goals in 71 appearances over Madrid's 28 games before the winter break. At a combined rate of 2.41 goals per game the BBC were sending out one hell of a signal as Los Blancos looked set to steamroller the division, with 22 consecutive victories providing testament to their effect as a party.

But their form since the break has been nowhere near as convincing. In 2015, the front three are combining for 1.3 goals per game, down more than a goal on their average in the first half of the season.

And that fall has been replicated in Madrid's results, with five defeats in 16 games seeing them fall off the top of the table, suffer elimination from the Copa del Rey and very nearly go down to a humiliating Champions League exit against Schalke.

Did the wife to Nigeria's All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, Mrs Aisha Buhari used a stereotypical term in addressing the people of Edo state while addressing them yesterday.

Mrs Buhari while promising to tackle girl-child trafficking and end widows' sufferings said, "I am here to let Edo women know that when my husband is elected, insecurity, girl-child trafficking and suffering of widows will end. They don't need to go and prostitute somewhere to survive.".

The statement credited to Mrs Buhari is sure not going well with Edo born Lawyer, Abdul Mahmud who tweeted the following.

Food / Instant Noodles Can Lead To Cancer And Other Diseases by NegroidHaven: 6:35pm On Mar 20, 2015
By Lizzy Adie.
Instant noodles, commonly known as Indomie are a popular food item not just in Nigeria, but in other parts of the world as well. It offers a quick and convenient way of satisfying hunger especially while traveling. While it could satisfy your hunger, it contains ingredients that could be quite contrary to your health.
Here are some reasons how instant noodles could be dangerous to your health.
Instant noodles contains subsances that reduces the body's nutrient absorption ability from the food such as fruits and vegetables. This food has a negative effect on the digestion process. If you are consuming instant noodles and then eat healthy food later on, your body may not fully absorb the nutrient because the instant noodles that you eat can affect your digestion even after several hours of eating.
Contains Cancer - causing ingredients, aside from the chemical additives, instant noodles are also packaged in plasticizers and dioxin, which are cancer causing subsances that may leak in the presence of hot water.
Instant noodles are also high in sodium content thereby developing kidney stones and other kidney problems. According to the US RDA (Recommended Dietary Allowance), the maximum sodium intake per day should only be 2,400mg. If you consume one cup of instant noodles, you are already consuming almost half daily intake of sodium.
Instant noodles are high in another form of sodium - MSG or Monosodium Glutamate. This double your risk of developing hypertension, heart disease and chronic kidney disease. Some people on the other hand are sensitive to MSG, they get headache , chest pain, or a burning sensation after consuming instant noodles. MSG has also been associated with other diseases including Cancer.
Instant noodles contains antifreeze, it uses Propylene Glycol, an antifreeze as Humectants which prevent noodles from drying out. It is absorbed by the body and accumulate in the liver, kidneys and the heart, which in time can cause damage.
Instant noodles are also low in nutritional value. They are not the best food you can feed your family with.
It is always good to think twice about what you feed your family especially your kids with . Don't feed them with noodles which have low nutritional value and may give you numerous health risks.

Crime / Gunmen Snatch Nigerian's Petroleum Minister Diezani Allison- Madueke,s Brother by NegroidHaven: 1:11pm On Mar 19, 2015
Nigeria's Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke
Unidentified gunmen in the early hours of Thursday kidnapped Joseph Agama, the younger brother to Nigeria's Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Allison-Madueke, Police sources say.

Police Spokesman for Bayelsa Command, Asinim Butswat, confirmed the development on Thursday. He said that the command got a report shortly after the incident happened.

According to Butswat, the police received a distress call on Thursday from the victim's father, Maxwell Agama.

Butswat said that the incident occurred at about 12.30 am on Thursday at Yenaka Community, a coastal settlement in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

Community sources said that the armed gunmen off with the victim to an unknown destination after abandoning their original boat.

Family sources said that the kidnappers were yet to establish contact or demand ransom.

It will be recalled that a sister to the minister, Osiyo Agama, was kidnapped in October 2014 in Port Harcourt and later rescued by a combined team of Joint Task Force and Department of State Security Services.

Diezani who is known as a powerful minister in President Goodluck Jonathan cabinet and widely believed to be the most corrupt could afford to pay ransom requested by kidnappers who have now made a habit of abducting members of her family.

Recently her donation of N70 million to the Bayelsa chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently causing crisis in the party that crisis led to the suspension of Col. Sam Inokoba as state chairman of the party.

Diezani is also at the centre of controversial award of pipeline surveillance contracts to militiamen and ethnic warlords across Nigeria.

Last week ex-militants shortchanged in the process staged a protest led to the deaths of an ex-militant in the hands of anti-riot policemen in Yenagoa. Politics / Question Of The Day? by NegroidHaven: 12:12pm On Mar 19, 2015
How would you react if a male doctor is operating your wife by inserting his hands in her Virginia?
Politics / Buhari Is Not A Democrat by NegroidHaven: 9:20am On Mar 18, 2015
The presidential candidate of Nigeria's foremost
political opposition party, the All Progressives
Congress (APC), Major General Mohammadu
Buhari (Rtd), while briefing the press in Abuja,
the federal capital yesterday 17 March, declared
that he would not engage President Goodluck
Jonathan in a political debate in view of the
forthcoming general elections on the premise
that the activities of both himself and Jonathan
are in public domain.
When I got wind of this development I was not
as surprised that Buhari was avoiding a debate
with his arch opponent for the umpteenth time
as the reasons he advanced for that elusive
inclination. I don't understand what Buhari
means by that realities about himself and GEJ
are in public domain. What does/could he
mean?
Is this not the same Buhari that addressed the
international foreign policy community in
Chatham House and fielded questions from the
audience? Is the International Institute of
Foreign Policy not aware of his dictatorial
genius of the past? Why did he have to go and
assure them of his alleged conversion from
autocracy to democracy? The mere fact that he
had subjected himself to the democratic
tradition for the fourth time on end was enough
to assure his international audience that he was
now a 'converted democrat'. They, as we, were
not blind, so why the debate?
Why is Buhari changing the reason for his
elusive mien from the accusation that the press
is biased to purported immanence of his and
GEJ's 'political data' in public domain? Is this the
type of change we shall be experiencing should
he win? Jumping from pillar to post all in the
unwholesome bid to avoid responsibility? This
may not be the change Nigerians are looking
forward to.
To my mind, Buhari and his APC cohorts have
better but covert reasons for not wanting to
address the Nigerian electorates by virtue of a
debate. These reasons could be these:
* Buhari is afraid of Jonathan's democratic
credentials in respect to his.
* Buhari is not a democrat as alleged.
* Buhari may not be able to rationalise his
dictatorship of yester years to the Nigerian
public as he did in Chatham House.
* Buhari is not honest as purported.
* Buhari does not have a sound policy
framework of his anticipated presidency.
My disappointment with the electioneering
campaigns in this year's general elections has
been that, this campaign has not been founded
on ideology/issues. The PDP and APC including
their candidates at all levels -gubernatorial,
senatorial, representative, and presidential,
have not been able to expressly tell us what
they want to use public office for and how they
intend to actualise their visions!? The most the
APC has said is that they wish to deal with
corruption, security and arrest a dwindling
economy. The corollary is HOW!? HOW!? And
HOW!? You have not told us how!
The business of governance is complex but
scientific. Buhari should be able to tell us how
he intends to pay social benefits when the bench
mark for crude oil is becoming as dynamic as
possible.
The mere fact that Buhari cannot engage
President Goodluck Jonathan in a debate where
he would marshal out a scientific roadmap for
addressing corruption, security and a comatose
economy suggest that he is not a democrat, for
democracy is government by, for and of the
Nigerian electorates electing you based on
sound Democratic credentials of politicians
vying for public office.

Politics / Revelation Prophet Reveals Election Results.. by NegroidHaven: 9:06pm On Mar 17, 2015
By Lizzy Adie. Prophet Alex Alatan of the Celestial Church of Christ, Freedom Parish in Benin, Edo State has released the result of who's going to wear the cap come 28th March.
Prophet Alex Alatan said that based on what he heard from God, Jonathan would win the election. He added that, however, the president should rebuke the spirit of fear and doubt otherwise, dangerous development is possible in the country.
He added that " God is also warning those around the president, his trusted allies and advisers to tread with caution in their actions and utterances so as not to cause avoided problems in the country."
"should they fail to desist, I see the military being pushed to take over the reins of governance once again and the consequences would be unpleasant and devastating for Nigeria and her people. It will thereafter be difficult to prevail on them to return the country to democracy with their actions and utterances, they are are inadvertently inviting the military to take over reins of power, contrary to the will of God. "
" so, this is a warning to the ruling party, the PDP. They should remove fear from their heart. God has said president Jonathan would again be elected only if he would remove fear of loosing the contest from his mind." He should remove the spirit of doubt and fear from his mind. Before any election is held, it has already taken place in the spiritual realm and it has been confirmed spiritually that President Jonathan would win. "so the PDP should be warned, they are trying to cause problems in this great country especially the president campaign organization spokesperson. The military are annoyed with him that is what the spirit of God said. Satan is using some persons in the inner circle of the party negatively to truncate the chances of Jonathan and possibly cause problem in the country".
