exactly u are right..the thing is that buttercream is more appetizing than fondant ...and is good for immediate consumption...unlik fondant which is not really appetizing buh really good for creating different designs..and shpes like you said...

have been tinking about this..most people prefer butter icing on cakes just because it taste good when eatin it, forgeting about its durability...as for me I prefer fondant because it lasts longer and u can use it to create different design on cakes unlike butter icing ...so what do you think guys?
