yes sir, I knw dat I am not yet qualify to register 4 Coren, I knw of NATE (Nigeria Association of Technology Students), but I still need to b enlighten more

I love to work in a production company and I ave a burning desire to b a full practicing mech. Engineer n most of all to contribute positively in d growth of technology greatly in our country. But really don't knw wie to start from, I just finished my hnd in production option

Let me attempt to discuss this not in any particular order though.

NSE and COREN very essential. To be a corporate member of NSE, you must have graduated for at least four years. You then go ahead to get registered with COREN. This is particularly important because most company have preference for registered engineers.

What to expect? Just keep an open mind. You may even end up in another field (sincerely)

While in school take all you courses seriously because you would meet them one way or the other if you eventually practice.

Interesting, demanding and could be stiffening(from a personal point of view) . As long as your calculation and reasoning skills are sound. You are good to go.

Plan your ways? Stay focused and hold tenaciously to your dreams. A little bit of flexibility would do you much good. Yeah, don't be too rigid.

And most importantly , the God factor.

Yes Dstar4u, I just finished my hnd n wil b going to service by june. I really need a mentor, and I believe dat it wil help us all both the old and young engineers. All mech. Engineers in nairaland should come join dis forum oh. U r most welcome @Dstar4u

Pls let's revive dis forum so dat d young mech. Engineers can learn from d old ones, let's share our ideals and encourage each other for d betterment of our lives, our families, our society, our country and d world as a whole

I just pray God help me cus I don't understand my school. Dey ave refuse to collect d 4600 for d jamb reg. No till 6th of may while schools are to submit master list from 28 april to may 6. I really want to follow dis second batch cus am tired of staying at home. Frnds pls pray for me

Pls I need advice from professional engr. I just finished my hnd and wil b going to service by june. Am thinking of buying direct entry form dis year so dat I can start from 300L by Nov. And b4 I wil finished service, I might ave been through wit half semester in 300L n den get my bsc by next three yrs or just do pgd program and oda professional course like cnc within d next 2 - 3 yrs at d same time b looking for a job.
