Michael Jackson was chemically castrated as a child by his recently deceased father Joe Jackson, according to the King of Pop’s former doctor, Conrad Murray. The former cardiologist added that when Jackson was his patient, the singer told him about the “many sufferings” he experienced “at the hands of his father” as a child. “The fact that he was chemically castrated to maintain his high-pitched voice is beyond words,” Murray continued, echoing a claim he made in his 2016 book, This Is It! The Secret Lives of Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael Jackson, in which he accused Joe of forcing Michael to get hormone injections at age 12 to cure his acne and prevent his voice from changing. Joe filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Murray in 2010, but ultimately dropped the case. In October 2013, Murray was released from jail two years into a four-year sentence after his 2011 conviction. His license to practice medicine was suspended in three states. Jackson opened up about his difficult upbringing with Joe in the 2003 documentary Living With Michael Jackson. “It was more than just a belt — cords, whatever was around,” the singer remembered. “[He’d] throw you up against the wall as hard as you could. He would lose his temper. … I was so fast, he couldn’t catch me half the time. But when he would catch me? It was bad. It was really bad.” Despite the past turmoil, the Jackson family released a warm statement in the wake of Joe’s death, saying, “We want to thank you all for the support you have shown us as we grieve for the patriarch of our family. We mourn the loss of our father and celebrate the life of a man who sacrificed so much to give us the life and success we have today. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this time.” The singer’s children Prince Michael and Paris also shared loving memories of their grandfather. “This man is and always will be an example or sheer willpower and dedication. He didn’t choose the path that was the easiest but he chose the path that was best for his family,” Prince Michael, 21, captioned a family photo. Paris, 20, added, “I will cherish every moment with you til the day i die, especially our last moments … quoting advice you gave me when i was a little kid and seeing your eyes light up, sharing stories my dad used to tell me about you, telling a joke and hearing you laugh for the last time.. my heart is full knowing we left each other in that way.” source - https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/michael-jackson-apos-chemically-castrated-004406172.html lalasticlala

Have you ever thought if that light bulb in your room could give you an internet connection? Philips lighting, a Netherlands based lighting company has unveiled its new Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) a technology set to replace the ever popular Wi-Fi technology. Unlike Wi-Fi whose technology is based on radio waves, Li-fi uses light waves as its mode of transmission. “LiFi has enormous potential for today’s digital age and as the world’s leading lighting company we are proud to pioneer new and innovative services for our customers - Olivia Qiu, Chief Innovation Officer, Philips Lighting.” “While radio frequencies are becoming congested, the visible light spectrum is an untapped resource with a large bandwidth suitable for the stable simultaneous connection of a vast array of Internet of Things devices. Being a lighting company, we ensure that our customers benefit from the finest quality energy efficient light along with state-of-the-art connectivity,” she added. LiFi is a two-way, high-speed wireless technology similar to WiFi but uses light waves instead of radio waves to transmit data. Philips Lighting’s office luminaires enabled with LiFi technology provide broadband connection with a speed of 30 Mb per second (Mb/s) without compromising lighting quality. With 30Mb/s a user can stream simultaneously several HD quality videos while having video calls. “Icade, the French real estate investment company, is piloting the ground-breaking technology in its smart office in La Defense, Paris. “LiFi has the potential to be a real game changer in offices. As the leader in our market we wanted to explore the possibilities of this technology for existing and future clients. We plan to showcase the technology in our smart office in La Defense, so aside from stable connectivity, light quality is crucial to us - Emmanuelle Baboulin, Head of the Commercial Property Investment Division at Icade.” What Are The Benefits Of Using LiFi? Li-Fi is going to be a big hit because it can be used in places where radio wave frequencies and electrical equipment may interfere or where Wi-Fi signals cannot reach or are weak as in underground metro stations and so on. Li-Fi is relatively more secured than Wi-Fi because it cannot pass through solid walls or roofs because light waves can only pass when allowed. This guarantees tight security and more work for ever hungry Wi-Fi hackers. So what do you think? Can Li-Fi make it to Nigeria where Wi-Fi isn’t surviving much? Your views are very much appreciated Source - http://www.techreminder.com/2018/03/new-LiFi-network.html lalasticlala Mynd44

MYHUBBY:OK I get now, they were direct objective questions |
MYHUBBY:Yeah we were allowed to take in our exam slip into the exam hall but we weren't allowed to take in biros as earlier stated by Jamb(pencils only). And I don't get you question about the English been updated or not. Could you shed more light? Please don't bother if your questions are to much or not, cos I'll try my best to help ![]() Good luck! |
MYHUBBY:Hello Bro, Using the CBT can be as anything in the world(I wrote my exam today with zero experience of using the CBT) You'll see some buttons like Enter registration number on the first screen (where he/she can login to start the exam) Start exam(bottom on the screen after logging in) - to start the exam so your time officially starts counting You'll see buttons with labels Physics - Chemistry - Maths - Use of English (in my case) on the top left on the screen and it's used to change subjects. This row also has the calculator button and the END EXAM BUTTON Then next you'll see your questions and then you'll see some check buttons for selecting your answers in the current question Lastly you'll also see some buttons below your question which indicates with various colors like red for unanswered/skipped, green for answered and blue color for the question which you are currently on. So its pretty easy, Jamb has also provided a little guideline (on the screen after you logged in) to give you some basic hints on how to use the computer software during the exam. Please pardon all errors made here (I didn't crosscheck ) |
