KillahPriest: It is not Soludo's duty to fight fake pastors, it is left for those who feel they have been scammed by these allegedly fake pastors to file complaints with the police. A note of warning, if Soludo does not desist from this enterprise very soon, next thing you'll hear is the total proscription of Christianity and churches as a whole in Anambra state and indeed Nigeria as a whole. I warned when they started with native doctors because I knew where things would head to and just like play, here we are today. How can a state government with myriads of unfinished business and problems suddenly decide that combating "fake pastors" is the most important thing on its agenda. Anambra people, NTOOOOR So he should just fold his arms while fake pastors and some native doctors continue to fuel insecurity in Anambra? We all know that some kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminals hide behind or get support from these people. The governor is simply doing his job by going after anyone linked to criminal activities, regardless of who they are. I believe he's on the right track. |

LadyCaplin: Good day, everyone.
I would appreciate some clarification regarding UK sticker visas issued before the transition to the eVisa system. Has anyone recently travelled using a valid sticker visa? If so, were there any additional steps required to link, validate, or update the visa before travel?
Apologies if this has already been discussed. I would be grateful for any guidance or recent experiences you can share.
@Cashmadam @VisaZest @giselle237 Nothing to fear about, I recently traveled with mine issued last year, so you don't need to do anything |

aragbaboy: What is the step-by-step process for a Nigerian traveling to the UK for the first time using the digital e-Visa system, and what exactly should one expect when navigating MMIA in Lagos from check-in to departure? Are there particular documents I should have with me aside from my passport and flight tickets?
I will appreciate if anyone that has used the new e-visa can respond. You’ll need a printout of the eVisa page showing your photo and details. For my wife, we went with her share code and passport. We didn’t have that page printed out, so they asked us to log in to her UKVI account and show them the information there. |

Younglami: So what should i do? Cheapest flight is 1.1 million from air maroc. Abuja to London. What should i do then? From my calculation, the amount you intend to spend on your 5-day trip is roughly equivalent to 6months of your savings. For UKVI applications, spending above 2–3 months’ worth of your salary on a short trip can raise concerns. I would advise you to strengthen your finance or consider getting a sponsor to support your application. |

Younglami: Good morning
Can someone please advise what i can do in my situation. I'm planning to go to the UK for my OSCE exam via self sponsorship for 5 days . I currently earn 350k take home and spend 80-100k monthly which brings my savings to 250k monthly. At the time of application, i will have a balance of 3.9million and I plan to spend approximately 2 million for my travel expenses ( Airbnb, flight, feeding etc ). Is this a good plan or what can i do to have a better chance of getting the visa? Please don’t apply, because they are unlikely to grant you a visa. Spending above 50% of your total savings on a 5 days trip may be considered unreasonable by UKVI. Even your proposed ₦2m will most likely not cover your total expenses, considering that the cheapest flight ticket alone is around ₦1.5m. |

thank You Chances are quite slim. It’s better to get a sponsor or build your account to a reasonable amount, around 7m or more. My wife recently got her visa with over 8m in her account, and I also supported her application as a sponsor |

tobyemmanuel: thank you very much. How soon can we reapply though? Since you stated in the application that she is travelling for an exam, I would advise you to maintain that position. Reapply when the next exam date is close, preferably not less than 6 months, so she will have enough time to improve her financial standing. |

tobyemmanuel: thank you very much. I understand. In the field requesting how much she would spend, we put ₦550,000, do you think it would have helped if she put a lower figure? Actually, I planned to sponsor all her expenses and it was stated.
Also, is there any time restriction for reapplication? How early can we reapply?
Thank you again chief Yes, an amount equivalent to 2–3 months of her income is ideal. Anything more than that may raise concerns. |

tobyemmanuel: Oh. Thanks just seeing this. But they have refused my wife's application. They didn't factor me as her sponsor. Any advice The visa was refused because the officer was not satisfied that your wife's financial situation in Nigeria supports the trip or proves you would return after your visit. Your salary is ₦190,000 monthly, with about ₦80,750 left after expenses, but you planned to spend ₦550,000 for a 7-day trip. This seemed too high and raised doubts. Although you are sponsoring her, their focus is mainly on the applicant's financial situation and were not convinced that your wife would return to Nigeria after the exam. The best option here is to improve her finance and reapply. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the funds available for your trip should ideally not exceed 2–3 months of your normal income; otherwise, it may raise concerns with the visa officer. Best of luck 🤞 |

Goodluck70000: Hello @ Giselle
I said I wrote letter to address last refusals, but the eco said they were not satisfied.
I am asking the house to put me through, how to write the letter that will satisfied the eco in the next application.
If the written of the letter is solve, the remaining two reasons are also easy to solve,if you read the refusal letter I pasted above, you will see that my family was refused for three reasons. That is the area I want you to contribute way forward not asking us to stopped struggling for progress.pls go and the read before passing Judgment Just as I said earlier, you need to put a hold on further applications. Your repeated applications will not sway them; rather, it now looks like desperation. I would advise you to take at least a one-year break and apply again when your circumstances have changed and you are able to meet the concerns raised in the visa refusal letter. |

From the refusal letter, the reasons for refusal were clearly stated. I would advise you to pause further applications for sometime and work on correcting those issues first. Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbie2024(m): 6:38am On Apr 25 |
Sorry about the refusal.
1. Someone earning ₦3 million annually is not expected to be going on vacation unless there is strong financial backing. For a 2-week trip, the expected spending should usually not exceed about 3 months of income, which in this case is around ₦750k. That amount may not even cover a flight ticket, except there is a sponsor who is genuinely related to you and can support the trip.
2. You also did not clearly specify your itinerary. They expected you to mention the exact places you intended to visit for sightseeing and your planned activities during the trip. |

Hello everyone, please I need some help.
My visitor visa application was successful, but I’m having issues linking it with UKVI. I’ve created an account, downloaded the app, and got to the stage where I need to scan my passport chip. However, I keep getting a “network not connecting” error.
I’ve tried several times with my Redmi Note 13 (it has NFC), but the issue persists.
Has anyone experienced this before? Please share how you resolved it. |
