The announcement of the broad tariffs on Wednesday triggered a sharp market downturn, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 9.2%, the S&P 500 falling 10.5%, and the Nasdaq sliding 11.4%.
“This is an economic revolution, and we will win. Hang tough — it won’t be easy, but the end result will be historic,” Trump posted on Truth Social Saturday morning.
