One of the issues with Solar technology diffusion in Nigeria is that of lack of understanding and confidence in the system. In a bid to combat this and without going into too much technical jargon which will further cause confusion we are dedicating the month of June to creating further awareness to help us harness our God given gift of sunlight.

If you are interested in Solar installation contact us NOW and our technicians will arrange to visit your site, they will educate you on the relevant issues, make our recommendations based on your reqirements and answer all your questions. Most importantly they will carry out a Live test so you can confirm that our Solar systems actually work and can power your appliances. On your satisfaction we can then talk about money.

For more information regarding our Solar Systems see link below:

http://soltechpower.com/index.php?page=nigeria

or send an email to richard@soltechpower.com

we will arrange to call you back to book a site visit. Heres The link once again:

Technology MarketRe: Solar Energy: Get Powered Up Now! Know The Cost And What You Require by newvision(op): 12:04am On May 09, 2010
Granted, this might not be for every body,so if its not for you pls dont waste our time, however for those of you that run diesel generators you know what it costs you to maintain the plants and buy diesel every year and to top it up the plants causes pollution.Solar installations are clean, pollution free life-time installations (min 25 years) with very minimal maintenance and more and more people are buying into this technology.

Its now your opportunity to go Solar and work with a company that will simplify the process for you (all our panels are top of the range 60 cells Sharp panels), we can cover installations through out Nigeria and for the month of May only we are offering FREE installation.

For further information you can post your requirements here, or email richard@soltechpower.com

In a bid to clarify any myths behind Solar installation, i have the below illustration of what is required to power your appliances, your distribution load might be different, however this allows you to alter the figures as you desire, however, if you are unsure you can post thae appliances here and i can tell you what is required.

Remember that the amount of electricity listed on the label of your appliance is the maximum amount that the appliance will ever use. For example, a 300-watt refrigerator will only run at 300 watts when the compressor's running (which is when it makes that humming sound, indicating that it's actually chilling the air inside). Most of the time the fridge just sits there, using only 5 watts or so for its electronics. If the amount of work done by a device varies up and down, then so does its energy use. (e.g., a stereo that can be turned up or down, an oven that can be set at various temperatures, a fridge that sometimes runs and sometimes doesn't, a computer that sometimes spins its various drives and sometimes has to use more of its brainpower, etc.) The label on computers could be misleading; a computer labeled at 300 watts probably uses only about 100.

Load Power (each) quantity Working hours (per day) Power consumption(per day)

CFL(Lamp) 11w 2 4 88wh
Computer 100w 1 5 500wh
printer 30w 1 1 30wh
Fan 150w 1 1 150wh
Refrigerator 100w 1 24 800wh
Washing machine 300w 1 0.5 150wh
Micro-wave oven 1000w 1 0.5 500wh
Satellite receiver 25w 1 4 100wh
Color Tv 70w 1 4 280wh
Water pump 100w 1 0.5 100wh
Total 1986w 2698wh

What is required to power the above

4 x 225 watts Solar panels N 900,000
Battery: 400AH/24V N 85,000
Inverter: 2000w N 80,000
Controller: 30A N 20,000

Total N1,085,000

Science/TechnologyRe: Inverter And Solar Panel Solution To Nigeria Electricity Failure by newvision: 5:45pm On Mar 03, 2010
Hi,

For a 10kva out you will be looking @ around 7 million Naira, but my question is do you need as much as 10 kva, what are you intending to power? an energy efficiency plan can save you a lot, also by simply upgrading your appliances like Air Conditioners to energy efficient ones, you could be saving upto 50% of your energy output.

Let me know if we can be of any help, we offer a comprhensive consultancy service: Advice, supply/installation and after-care services.

Technology MarketRe: 300watts Monocrystalline Solar Panels Needed. by newvision: 5:32pm On Mar 03, 2010
Hi,

I see you are very specific about your request, well done, shows your very sound insight. We currently can supply you with 25 units of 175 watts panels (Polycrystalline though), which gives you about the same output, if you are looking to generate 4500 watts for £4.2 million.

Let me know if this will serve your purpose or if you wish I can arrange your specifics for you.
