Dear NLer, as I write this, chucky234 has still not contacted me nor refunded my money fifteen(15) months after. The last time I came to Lagos on this issue, Police went with me to “his house” but he and his family had moved.

One of the Police Detectives suggested I declare him wanted by publishing his name and data on two (2) national dailies that it will cost me about one hundred and fifty thousand naira(N150K). That even if he does not pay me, that national publication will be enough punishment and I kind of believe. That even if he is shameless, his family will feel the shame at least.

I don’t really intend to waste more money(let me reserve that as the final option-December 2016).

I plead with anyone who may have information which may lead to his arrest to please send it to this address: chucky234nl@gmail.com.

I would not like it posted on Nairaland because I want to protect the identity of anyone who will be willing to help.

@Uboma, Chucky234 has not contacted me. His line is "unreachable". I also discovered that he has a lot of"bedfellows" on Nairaland that is why I stopped posting coz actually there is no updates.

I was in Lagos last week because of the issue.
Pls permit me to reserve some of my comments so as not to jeopardize my plans.

I intend creating a dedicated e-mail address next week for anyone who may have information that may lead to his arrest to send such to the address. This is because I realize a lot of his"friends" who are willing to assist are not ready to help openly.

I also appeal to the Mod and the owner of this site to try and put measures that will discourage fraudulent tendencies so as putting personal information of fraudulent members in the public domain (as suggested by someone).

I still thank all of you that are still here...the Good. The Bad. The Ugly.

I agree with you, banning chucky234 solves no problem. Pls use your"relationship" with him and plead on my behalf and also convey the opinion of this "family" to chucky234 to refund my 850k.

@Moderator, I strongly subscribe to the suggestion of Pacino26. It will strongly reduce if not eliminate cases of fraud. Once fraud is eliminated, members confidence will improve and this forum's value....trustworthiness will improve with its attendant benefits.

Till date chucky234 has not called/text to apologise or tell me anything concrete...though I have been to the Police (coz it seems chucky234 thinks he is VERY"smart", at least if he would not refund my money, he will explain why he cleaned out part of a VIN)

@Gazzuzz, thank you for sharing that honesty is the soul of business. It may not get you money today but will create goodwill, trust and in the long term higher gain.

Chucky234 has not realised what he has lost. I told him 850k was too meagre to ruin his integrity and name, I never knew he never had any...quite sad.

@Boldx, thank you for checking out my issue. I think you did not read my post very well. It not just about money. It was not only about the quality of the car but a level of criminal culpable issue.

Chucky234, you sound quite funny but you think you are intelligent. Did it ever occur to you that mileage is NOT a function of age of a car but usage? Lies have deprived you of simple logic and intellect.

I initially thought you could have made an honest mistake, but I am now convinced you are a depraved tgief, a scam, a fraud and an evil fellow.

You do not even know the value of trust or goodwill -not surprised though....you have a skewed value system -not unexpected of a thief.

Chucky234, I am still being fair to you, if you don't respect yourself you will not be happy why you choose the path of dishonor. By Tuesday, I will publish all your details that I have obtained from GTBank...as I told you in our last conversation, if you allow me to spend a kobo to recover this money, I will use every contact I have to make sure you will never have the opportunity of defrauding another human being. Keep deceiving yourself.

@hibiyemsy, thank you very much for your concern. I might have trusted Chucky234 to send the car but I had to put things in place for audit trail of the transaction. I have the teller and the form I filled to transfer the funds.

For all NLers, thank you for your efforts. I trust God that Chucky234 will meet his waterloo and he may realise to late that 850k was too meagre to ruin his life.

I went to the bank I was briefed but in case this "joke" becomes a fight, pls permit me not to divulge what I was advised by the bank....though they told me I should forget about freezing the account and gave me a very sound reason that he has even done BVN.

For those asking if I did not see Oseri case, Oseri case was in September, I paid him on July 8,2015 so it was already too late.

I have pix of the car and "plate" number. I am just trying to be fair to Chuck to see if he will reason reasonably and refund my money. I am not interested in jailing him (unless it becomes the ONLY option), all I want is my money.

Once again, I thank you all my"virtual" family members....the Good, the Bad, the Ugly....it is the mix that makes life worthy.

@2016Deity, thank you very much for your suggestion. I have done a few things in that direction that is why I stated that this is last "family settlement avenue" for chucky234.

I have been told to report the case to Police Anti -Fraud unit and FCID because of the case of tampered VIN number coz it's a crime and that it was a transaction not a loan...that at the anti-fraud unit there is a unit that is for Cyber crimes.

Chucky234 opened a counter thread. Pls Chuck,the issue is not whom I borrowed money from or who will drive the car. I ask again, is there anything I stated in my original post that is false?

You said you"asked" me to give you more time. Sir, I paid money into your account on JULY 8,2015 and I am posting this on February 5,2016. Is 7 months not long enough for you to refund money that was not a loan?

Dear NLer, I write this with pain in my heart, not necessarily for sympathy but to help others make more informed decisions when dealing with people online…this is not to say you do not have honest people online.

I have been in this forum for quite sometime, I needed a car and I checked so many posts, contacted those that I liked their offers and spoke with them but I was finally “hooked” with a forumite with ‘chucky234’ moniker based on his threads on “Benz swap” and “Cotonou car dealer”. I contacted him and discussed several times and agreed on some things. In July 2015 he made me an offer of a 2004 model C200 Kompressor at N800K with 78,000KM, EU-Specs, almost toks with pictures, because of how we had “related” and “testimonies” from other people online, I sent N815K to him(through bank transfer and deposit evidences which I still have) to him, 15K being part-payment for the driver. This was on July 8,2015. it took four(4) days for the car to get to Uyo-Akwa Ibom State.

When the car got to Uyo, I realized the following: the A/C was not working, the sound system was not working, the car was calibrated in MILES not Kilometers, the pointers(trafficators) and headlamps were not working. The on-board computer on the car reported 15 faults. And mileage was 152,000MILES not KILOMETERS again which is approx. 253,000KM. I was quite unhappy and reported those to him.

Later, I discovered that the car was converted and the VIN tampered with(last six digit scrapped off)….this really scared me for obvious reasons(felt the car COULD have been obtained through questionable circumstances), I rejected the car that same day and he said it was his mistake he will replace the car. Later he sent the driver to come pick the car and told me he was out of the country(Benin) so can not remit money to the driver, I should please assist with 20K which I did – bringing the total to N850K.

Pls. friends, till date, chucky234 has not given me a car or my money despite all my patience, entreaties, show of empathy and understanding. I am using this medium to plead with members of this forum who may know him to tell him to refund my money in the name of God or that which he holds most sacred.

I know, so many people will call me names for trusting him with my money, but I have trusted others and they delivered. I have done business with ‘Remiloy’, ‘CrossFire’, ‘Adasco’ and ‘Jaxxy’ and they were NOT fraudulent.

Please anyone that have a relationship with him should PLEASE plead with him to refund my money because this is the last “family settlement avenue”. I will give his personal details and pictures of the car next time I am updating this…if he does not respond responsibly.
