Pls is there any one who knows details of salary structure and staff welfare as regards St Gregory College, Ikoyi Lagos. And pls has anyone been called after the recent recruitment test conducted for many teachers for Physics, Chemistry, English and Literature in English instructors.

I got an offer in there sister school. The conditions to me are stringent.

Let me list some here so that it would serve as a guide to people who wants to apply there. If I had known, I won't have wasted my time and energy.


1. Compulsory vigil every 3rd Friday of the month.
2. You will work from Monday to Sunday twice in a term. You resume early and close late during this period.
3. 10% deduction from your salary for 10 months. They term it security dues. You get it back only when you resign properly.
4. Resigning properly means you must spend at least a year and you are only expected to leave at the end of the session giving at least a month notice.


This post is just a guide. I am not discouraging anybody. If u don't mind the conditions, you can go ahead.

Despite the that the likes of schools like this are paying for cheap labour yet they all sorts 4 means to further extort Nigerian graduates. And all these so-called honorables/Senators will not see things like this to place a bill.
I pray all Schools or private owners out there with the motive of enslaving and extorting Nigerian graduates under the disguise of unemployment, God will expose and close their shops. Please guys join me to say a big Amen!

Good day all,pls I need your advice on an issue. Has anyone worked with a terrible head teacher before?I teach in a school where the proprietress resides abroad and the head teacher behaves irrationally. When I got the job,I noticed they were operating the old teaching method and since I have a little experience,I suggested we include sounds and some modern ways of teaching,she declined and insisted on the old. Someone then advised I speak with the proprietress which I did and she was so impressed. I guess she now sees the head teacher's incompetence and told her to make me an H.O.D. That was the beginning of my night mare, she doesn't answer my greetings,if there is any duty am supposed to carry out she gives it to another teacher. She behaves as if I don't exist.I wish to resign but I submitted the name of the school for my PGDE teaching practice and its irreversible. Am already dreading resuming with her again. I don't want to report her to the proprietress so it doesn't look like I want her gone but am just confused. Any advise pls? No basing pls.

Go and make peace with her a most. If it's necessary beg her to make that place conducive for you. Next, be getting ready to leave after your PGDE TP

@Tpappie, pls I missed the info asper April 11th test and interview. Pls do they absorb an HND holder who is competent in Mathematics. If yes, can I show up for test and oral interview to proof my competency. Pls reply asap.

I guess u dont understand simple English, I said 'bad guider'. May be u are one of them. In my own case my guider had not but once rendered any assistance to me and yet earn bonuses on my transactions. Yes! guilder had earned enough from the system and so it is time participants to have uninterrupted payments.

Yes! Give ur remarks/report on ur bad guilder.Dont not change guilder. Dis is because bad guider loses rewards/bonuses and such are substituted for payment of 2016 mavros.Once again DONT change any guilder instead give ur remarks on them and let such residual bonuses be substituted for 2016 mavros.
