Hello guys,

I had the option of getting this express entry 3 years ago but I decided otherwise. I am now back to it.

I am a data engineer with over 4 years of experience in the UK and some more in Nigeria. I can see the passing CRS score has greatly increased while because of age my possible score has dropped to about 450+ if I max IELTS.

Guys please what is my best chance of getting ITA?

Max IELTS and join the pool. You can add French to boost your chances.

Check the first page of this thread for sample template. There should be address and recipient.

Thanks guys for the response. Does the reference have to be very recent? I got a reference letter for the work experience before i left Nigeria from the bank in 2023? Can I still use it or does IRCC require a more recent reference letter.

You can use it (if it covers the period you claimed point for). But note that contact address might change for your work. Your manager/supervisor then might not be the same now in the case you provided a contact in your reference letter for verification.

Your answer is yes for both.
What do you mean by "incomplete"? It's either you're denied with a rejection letter or banned.

You can use your teaching experience, but you must choose the correct NOC.
IRCC checks duties, yes, but for regulated jobs like secondary school teacher (NOC 41220), officers also look at the NOC’s employment requirements. That is why the person in the screenshot was refused, they claimed a teacher NOC that requires a B.Ed or teaching licence.

If you don’t have a teaching qualification, don’t use NOC 41220.
Use a different teaching-related NOC that does not require a teaching certificate, such as teacher assistant (NOC 43100). That one is acceptable without B.Ed and you can still use it for Express Entry.

Teaching (NOC 41220 / 41221) is a regulated occupation in Canada.

The NOC profile says:

“Employment requirements: Teachers of academic subjects require a bachelor’s degree in education OR a bachelor’s degree in the arts or sciences.”

This is EXACTLY the section shown in the screenshot of the rejection letter.

This means the visa officer can question your experience if you do not hold the minimum educational requirement listed in the NOC.

This is why the person in the screenshot was refused.

Take the kind corrections and move on bro. Your first post stated "For Express Entry and the education draw". Let people with personal experience help others based on what they know. It'd be easier that way. It's not compulsory it has to be you. It's not just this post alone, myself I have read some of your posts in the past and faulted it but chose to mind my business. 6 months should get you to 90 percent ready. If you're the type that learn fast, you should be able to sit the test by then and pass. Go and start practicing already. There's Alliance francaise and other great people on this thread that offer paid services providing lectures and learning resources. Good luck!

You need education certificate or a PGD to qualify for the education category. If you have the experience in health, go for that. Completing TCF is another category to get you invitation

Very possible. Get learning resources and start practicing. You're not going to be tested on core/deeper knowledge of French language for TEF/TCF, it's just the basic knowledge.
